The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

I thought last night was funny especially the first part with the phone message. It was more like an older episode. I loved the man-date, the knit a thon (Chris should have offered to match the top knitter fund instead but he wants to fit in), and I liked Luke standing up for himself. My only question----where is Gigi?

This season sucks. Seriously, I think I enjoyed the first ep and I haven't been able to make it through one since...I get about 20 minutes in and then think of all the better things I could be doing. :(
Me too!

Tink2020: I do agree with you on the Luke and Lor. thing. You are right there was "nothing" he was always doing things for her but I never really saw them seem "into" each other. I think I like Luke because he is Luke and not because I like them as a couple.

I think last night was Luke's night. Great acting!

and Doula....I just grimaced when I heard that name...poor kid!

Tristian was the guy at Chilton that kept calling Rory "Mary". Rory later got him to ask Paris out.

Don't forget when Luke pushed Jess into the lake when they were walking across the bridge. Had something to do with the way Jess was treating Rory or the WalMart job. I can see the scene, just can't hear the voices.

I loved the part at the end last night where Luke stood up to April's mom about wanting his rights. I applauded him. And Luke's BIL naming the baby Doula was funny.

I agree Chris isn't a mean person, he just doesn't think when he acts. He was trying to help by donating the 7K - not realizing it would spoil the rest of the knitting fun... and WAY TO GO LUKE for standing up to Anna~! At one point earlier in the season I thought they might try and put Luke and Anna together, but now I don't think so - unless she realizes how great he's been as far as the turn-a-round to fatherhood. I really don't see Chris fitting in to the Stars Hollow group. He'll get bored in NO time! I'm really bored with the Rory's college sceen, is anyone else? I could care LESS about the new girl friends, or the issue with Marty... "yawn". Rory is right...where is her life heading? If she doesn't pull her head out of her ... she's going to end up being Mrs. Logan and chasing after HIS life, instead of becoming a journalist! I'd hate to see that happen... OH, one thing I just remembered, does anyone else get the impression that Alexis doesn't care for the actor who plays Logan? At the end of every embrace, or kiss (her body language just pulls away). Her lower body is NEVER touching his, its always the top part that comes together... no chemistry there? I don't agree that Luke and Lor didn't have chemistry though... but then that just might be me, because every moment I got to see him with his shirt off, I would go weak in the knees and I might be projecting 'their' chemistry for MY chemistry for Scott! :thumbsup2

Let me know what you think about Rory and Logan... chemistry? Or no?

I absolutely think her new girlfriends are so dizzy and lame, after intense Paris. Rory need a better storyline , for sure!

The biggest thing i miss is the music. All the la-la-la-la-la-la songs and the town troubador and Sonic Youth in Stars Hollow and there used to be a "the show is almost over" warning song.

Also, i found it very uncharacterist of Lorelai to decline a ride in the wagon.

:rotfl2: I thought the same thing. Hey, I'd have been in that wagon lickety split myself!

Wow, tonights episode really was crazy! What was up with Logan breaking the news to Lucy like that? What the heck did Chris and Luke think they were going to accomplish by having it out in the town commons, and I can already tell that things are headed in a bad direction for Chris and Lorelia. With him saying they should have a baby and being upset that she doesn't want to do the vows again during the party shows that he is totally unsecure in their relationship and even Emily can see that its already headed down hill.

I'm really hoping that Luke sues for custody and they find some way that he can win.

actually, today's ep kind of annoyed me. So what if there's a party? So what if vows are exchanged again? It's a nice thing. About the baby, she could have just explained that it's too soon and she wants to enjoy being with Christopher for a while w/o a new baby. And I'm glad Logan said something. It's not right of Rory to drag him into this whole web of lies when she should just have been a good friend and told what's-her'face the truth way before then.

Can someone please explain Lorelei's thinking?

Is she sorry? Does she just want to move on with things?

Syrreal & sajetto: I agree with you both in that things were crazy. Rory caught up in Marty's lie now she's the one who has to suffer.

The fight...one drunk and mad at his wife and one angry man having to sue for the right to see his daughter.

What is so bad about the party? Why isn't she planning something?

so many questions and no previews for next week!

So i really think the actress that plays Lorelia is pregnant. Anyone know for sure. Her face looks heavier and they kept her in a coat most of the show. I agree this wasn't their best show. :teeth:

I have not posted here before. I think that tonight felt like the old Gilmore Girls???

I really liked this show, where as the past few shows I've felt...bleaahhh.

I have'nt been on top of this thread, but I have noticed that she looks pregnant for weeks! No one else has noticed?!! No, I can't believe that!

Oh, my gosh! I totally forgot to watch last night. I was really tired and fell asleep at about 7:30 on the couch and DH woke me up to go upstairs. :teeth: Can someone give me a synopsis?

Didn't get to watch it last night but hopefully will catch up tonight. I will agree, however, that DH and I have been saying for awhile that Lauren Graham looks pregnant. We think she must have the worst costume designer in history if she's not.

I too was thinking this last night. That dress she was wearing when she met with her mother at the wedding reception hall. Will be interesting to see what she decides about having a baby with Christopher!
