The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

Hey Amy here was the scoop:

Opens with Chris and Lor looking at a house in another town. Its really nice, Chris is really pushing for it, but realizes that Lor still wants to be in Stars Hollow and says eh, nevermind.

Logan and Rory are at Yale, they grab some lunch at the cafeteria and run into the friend (can't remember her name) all the sudden "boyfriend" shows up and the girl is motioning for him to meet Rory's boyfriend Logan. Obviously Logan and Marty know each other from when he used to bar tend for Logan's parties. When the "meet and greet" is over, Logan is wondering what's up with Marty and Rory acting the way they are. Then Rory explains the whole weird situation.

Logan tells Rory that she's got to tell her friend and that leaving her in the dark about how she and Marty know each other isn't cool.

Lor and Chris are in bed later in the episode and Chris says "Lets make a baby" A short conversation errupts about how much work Lor put into Rory and that he wasn't there. The fact that she doesn't want to make a baby right NOW, seems to upset Chris so he turns on his side and goes to sleep.

When the meet with Emily and the party planner, Emily springs it on Lor that they need to pick vows so that everyone can witness their marriage. Chris says its a great idea and Lor jumps in that she isn't doing it. This ends up with Chris saying something like "So, you're going to make all the decisions about our family...blah blah blah" In reference to the baby thing, the house, and now this. Emily and the planner decide to give them some privacy to hash this out.

Later, Logan, Rory, Marty, and the friend meet for dinner. Everyone is still acting like Marty and Rory don't know each other (also there is some obvious tension between Marty and Logan b/c of the past history) and finally Logan says "I can't take this anymore" Looks right dead at the friend, and tells her the whole deal about Rory and Marty meeting freshman year, hanging out to watch movies, and being great friends. The friend is crushed, angry, and storms off with Marty running after her. Rory is angry with Logan on how he handled that and she later goes to the friend's dorm, but she refuses to speak to her.

Throughout the episode there are moments where Luke is battling with April's mother over the phone and when she says that this is HER decision once again, he finally sees a lawyer and finds out that he HAS to sue if he wants any chance.

At the end of the episode Chris is walking to his car parked in town at night and sees Luke getting out of his truck. He storms over and then they start a fist fight in front of gazebo.

Meanwhile, Lor is just getting home to find Emily on her front porch. Emily basically tells Lor that she likes Chris, but knows that he is rash with decisions and sometimes irresponsible. She tells Lor that she can things aren't going well and if Lor doesn't step up this marriage is going to fall apart.

Does that help? ;)

Absolutely! Thanks so much.

What the heck started the fight between Chris & Luke? Was Chris just ticked off at Lorelei? I can't believe that I've been waiting weeks to see the stupid fight and then I slept through it. :teeth:

Ok, here's my "take":

Chris was freaking out about having a baby because he saw Luke & Lor being all "cozy" over the baby and got really insecure... (also part of the reason for the fight)

Luke is upset with women in general I think, LOR for being such a ditz ("I love you LUKE ... but WILL sleep and marry someone else if you dont DO what I WANT WHEN I WANT IT") and then there is ANNA who's also taken advantage of him with April (you can ONLY see her WHEN I SAY under the CIRCUMSTANCES I APPROVE OF)

Is anyone else getting the impression the writers are women haters?

Ok, Logan, again UPSET because he knows MARTY is IN LOVE WITH RORY. That's why he acted out, and that's why he put both Marty and Rory in a bad situation with the friend.

As far as Lor - she's immature, fickle, and spoiled in my book. She can't commit to ANY man... and isn't growing in the least. She will DO ANYTHING to upset her mother, even if it's to please Chris (vows, party, etc). Again, very childish.

Lauren isn't even married in real life, so if she's pregnant... opps. I know last time I saw her on Ellen (this season) she wasn't even dating and Ellen was going to "fix" her up. Or was that Megan Mulalley's show (sorry don't know how to spell her last name).

Anyway, I thought the fight was pretty funny, how they came in, got their aggression out and just kinda backed away... :happytv:

that's my take, thanks for your time.

I am really disappointed with this season so far. I don't like the new writer.
I hope they turn it around soon. :confused3

I thought the show was all right, but they need to get rid of those girls at the end. They are so annoying.

Another thing, WHY are they writing Paris out... it seems to put those stupid girls in... they are just more annoying - do they really think EVERYONE on the show has to be fast talking ? NOT everyone is like that... and it's very annoying. Have some REAL folks will YOU? Plus, I never really cared for Marty anyway... ditch HIM why don't they?

April talks fast too - come on people let's get more original ... I think this is it for me season wise.... even with all the "love" I feel for Scott P.... sniff sniff

I have'nt been on top of this thread, but I have noticed that she looks pregnant for weeks! No one else has noticed?!! No, I can't believe that!

I posted about this a few weeks ago too. I totally agree that she is looking pregnant!

I've thought she looked pregnant from the first few shows. In one scene (can't remember which episode) she wears a huge jumper dress. It seemed really out of character for her.

I did some research and cannot confirm 100% but it does appear that Miss Lauren IS PREGNANT in real life... hmmm wonder who the father is?

I never noticed I just thought she was wearing the frumpy style.
I just looked her up. She was at an even in Nov. sure doesn't look prego here.

I checked out Scott P on IMDB and he has a movie that is coming out on video. Looks like a Bend it like Becham type movie. I'll have to rent it.

TiggersPal : I agree about the fast talking.

Two items of note:

Amy Sherman-Palladino was just given the green light by Fox for a new comedy called "The Return of Jezebel James" (I think). It's about 2 sisters who were estranged until one of them asks the other to be a surrogate for her.

AND

I saw a Rocky 5 commercial for the first time last night and OMG!!! It's JESS playing Rocky's son!!!!! (I rewound it 3 times to be sure! LOL) And wow, has he lost weight. Too skinny, IMHO.

Anyone know what day there is a new episode? I seem to remember hearing it would be late January- I hate it being in reruns!

January 23rd is the next new ep, I think.

Spoilers: http://www.spoilerfix.com/gg.php

January 23rd - that's my birthday !!! But are you kidding? I have to wait that long ? Geez for as much complaining as I've been doing, that will teach me eh? HRUMPF! Thanks for the spoiler MAL!:cloud9:

I just finally watched the shows I had taped from weeks ago.

I can't believe that they got married!!!

I love Lor and Chris together. I like him. I think he is just right for Lor.

I think they should have the wedding party and 'redo' their vows, especially for Rorys sake. Lor shouldn't make such a big deal out of it.

The fight--too funny. Lor should have never picked up that baby. Just should have walked away from Luke and avoided the whole thing!

Don't blame Chris for wanting to move out of Stars Hollow. Especially since Luke did all the work renovating Lors house for when they were going to live there together. Maybe they should stay in Stars Hollow, but get a new house.

Rory's storyline with those weird girls and even weirder Marty--so lame.

Can't wait to see the next episode!

Thanks, pal! Needless to say, I'm VERY happy.

I'm also glad the new episodes don't start until later in the month. I have to work late tomorrow night. ;) Yes, I'm selfish.

I'm actually enjoying Season 6 a lot more watching it on DVD. The episode with the Friday night dinner where Lorelai, Rory, Emily, and Richard hash out their differences is just hysterical.

Wow, Love to know if the rumor is true that she is pregnant!! Wonder if they will write that into the script if she is??? who will the father be Luke or Christopher?????:confused3

Doesn't look like Lauren is pregnant, she was in a film while on hiatus with Diane Keaton and she wasn't pregnant... hmmm????:confused3

The last episode, wasn't Chris talking about having another child, one he could "be there and watch grow" ???
