I'm checking into POP on Feb 1st and staying until Feb 10th

We stayed at POP for the first time in December and loved it!! Have a blast!

96 hours from now we will be on the plane.
Our first Disney trip I am getting so excited. The weather is looking better and better. We will be at Pop till Feb 5. Hopefully the crowds aren't to crazy. Then coming home for the big game on Sunday. Gotta say it...

I am not typically a lucky person- like I dont win anything, ever and things seem to always go in the opposite direction of what I wish

With that said- My Mom is now coming to Disney with us for a few days. This is seriously my life's dream- to give her this opportunity and thank her for all that she has done for me- and now its happening! She will be there with us from 5-9th (we will be there 2-11) which still gives us a few alone days as a family

So of course I am freaking a bit- making ADRs so far in advance and knowing there is next to zero chance of getting them all over again at the times we want for 5 people instead of 4 for the days she will be with us. I call WDW and talk to the sweetest pixie dust sprinkling CM EVER. She modified my 5pm Ohana ADR to 5 people so mom can join us- I cant believe it.

Enough of my brag fest- crossing fingers that nothing happens to screw this all up- yikes!

I have to call about the same sort of thing, and I'm hoping I get the same wonderful CM!

You are going to have such a great trip. I can't wait to hear all about it. Are you going to do a full trip report? If so, make sure you post the link here I know that many us will want to read it The whole "first time" element is just even more magical!

Just got an email from TP about some changes y'all might be interested in, and wanted to share:


DHS park hours extended on Feb. 3, 6, 9, 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 27.

Fantasmic! shows added for Feb. 3, 6, 9, 13, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24.

MK hours have been extended for Feb. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26.

MSEP runs added for Feb. 12, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26.

AK hours extended for Feb. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23.



Alli ~ You must be a giant stress ball right now, trying to figure everything out. I hope you're able to sort it all out! Have a glass of wine or two, it'll all seem better.

Any thoughts on why the hours were extended at DHS and why more Fantasmic?

I'm a member of the "I can't believe it's here so soon" club
This is what makes it real for me

and putting the registered Photopass card (why I bother because I always misplace it) in my wallet

This is what I miss about not doing a package. We did the room discount and not free dining because we go offsite a couple of days and it just makes more sense. Anyhoo, only a resort confirmation letter for us. No cute luggage tags.

I will miss you all at the Pop

stressing out over here- very grateful, but stressed. The problem with DVC is that I cannot call to add anything (dining plan, mom's name, etc) I have to first call aunt and ask her to do it- and thats getting really old fast (its DHs aunt, not my side). I think I will ask DH to take care of this because I am starting to get a bit frustrated. Now that my mom is invited we have to invite dh's mom and its all overwhelming me right now

Dee- Thanks! I should do a trip report! I have a ton to say lol. I remember talking to you many months ago about whether to bring mom or not- and now out of no where we are

So, all the ADRs are adjusted for when mom will be there, and I think the schedule is nailed down. Now I just have to rearrange my MK day so that mom will be able to go on POC, HM, IASW, and all those other classics.

Thanks for bearing with me through everyting, and for all the support. We need to create a new thread once this one goes away so we can all keep in touch

Awesome! It'll just be DS and I, and we'll definitely have LGMH's on, and lime green ribbon. I'm so excited I'll have so much more time than usual to relax and enjoy Pop this trip! A lot of times you can find me in the exiled-smokers area, lol. (Hey, I only smoke on vacation and during hurricanes! )

Honestly, though, whether at Pop or the parks, I have met the nicest people and had the most interesting conversations when I've just been chilling in the smoking areas. Sounds weird, but it's true. I guess because so much of a WDW vacation, you're go-go-go... In the smoking areas, people are just sitting and relaxing. Not that I'm advocating taking up smoking... I'm just making an observation.

You know, it just dawned on me last night that we'll be there during Valentine's Day! I think I've been single too long, LOL. I need to find some cute Valentine's window stuff to bring!

So just curious will anyone else be there from the 6th to 13th? We'll actualy be in the parks on the 7th - 10th and then the 11th & 12th we will be at Universal.

We will be at POP Feb 6-12.
