Random question based on the commercial that was just on. What is the movie Footloose about? I've never seen the original and the trailer for the new one doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Ren and his classmates want to do away with this ordinance, especially since the senior prom is around the corner, but only Ren has the courage to initiate a battle to abolish the outmoded ban and revitalize the spirit of the repressed townspeople.

Speaking as someone who saw the original as a teenager, I have no plans on seeing the remake. There are some movies that shouldn't be remade....and no one can play Ren McCormick like Kevin Bacon did.

Just saw Jane Lynch's dress. Color looks great on her. The only thing I would change is the cut on the bodice--I feel it is too short for her stature. It needs to be a little "taller"--She looked like she was all shoulders to me.

On Footloose--I Am so seeing the remake. I loved the Musical version of it which the writers had intended for it to become. I wonder if the remake will fall in line more with the musical than the original movie. Are the original producers/writers doing it?

Not that there is much they can do--but I wish the tuxes had some interesting variations. No matter the tux--unless it is 1970s with ruffles, they all look the same except for the color of the tie.
