I thought football games were timed. There are so many minutes in each quarter. Can they go into overtime?

I don't like all the seams that are showing in this purple dress (the lady from Bridesmaids and Gilmore Girls).

She said she designed it herself with a designer.
I like the color, but all the seams are kind of strange. And the top doesn’t look like it fits her.

They continually stop of the clock so it can take like 35 minutes to get through a 15 minute quarter. (And that is the extent of my football knowledge )

You must not watch Amazing Race! Everyone knows that you TIVO the show plus an extra 1-2 hours. They don't end football and they will never pre-empt 60 minutes! Bugs us all on that thread!

Anyway--yes, the game is timed. However, depending on how many times the clock stops for any variety of reasons that include but are not limited to: Timeouts called by teams, timeouts by officials (not sure if they do--but there you go), Contested calls requiring review of play, penalty flags thrown requiring the officials to confer and then issue penalties which may requiring moving the chain markers, moving the chain markers (can't start the play until they are in position), field goals (I don't think the clock runs for those--but can't remember), injuries which delay a player coming off of the field, etc, etc, etc.

We have a party when AR actually manages to start on time.

I was happy they cut the football game - I was waiting to watch Heidi.

Exactly! Undercover Boss was after it for a while and DH would always get into it and then it would cut off and I was like, "I only taped it to make sure I didn't miss any of the Amazing Race!"

I just wish they would preempt 60 minutes so Phil...I mean, Amazing Race can start on time.

Totally funny they now have Heidi phones.

Dont' mess with football. I recall one game we watched last year, I think, they switched games before the other had ended and it was totally plausible for the other team to score and win. My husband was not happy. Evening gowns would have killed him.
