I saw that too.

Her date is Matt Smith, a former Dr. Who. I have to wonder if he's jealous of her success. When Claire mentioned that her Golden Globe is in her downstairs toilet, he remarked, "I think that's a good spot for it." Then he subconsciously raised his hand and scratched his face with his middle finger. There is an old Seinfeld episode where Seinfeld's waitress did the same thing to him when she didn't want to get him something.
