I saw a couple of women wearing pale pink dresses in the distance when the show started. I don't know who they were, but I wonder if they feel out of place.

I know, right? Peer pressure...I saw them too. Maybe not everyone got the memo, although they did say that they chose black since everyone has something black in their closet (generally speaking).

Good. I think you missed the thread we had on Megan Markle, soon to be a new duchess/princess for you guys in the British commonwealths. And we get one too, as she's American. We'll have to have a live thread here on the DIS for the wedding, like we did when Will & Kate got married.

I wonder if they are the wives of writers & directors and some of the other awards, and weren't able to get, or weren't allowed to get a black dress, as that is somehow reserved for the A-lister actresses?

I wondered that too... maybe they already had their dresses before and couldn't find someone to re-do it for them as they were too busy with the A listers.
