So where is everyone choosing to eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? I am undecided between Narcoosee, Boathouse or Flying Fish.

I angsted over this quite a bit. I kept looking for places in the parks that did something special for the Eve, but couldn't find anything.

Christmas Eve - Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine in; Dinner w/ Minnie at Seasonal Dine @ Hollywood & Vine; Watching very carefully for the release date of the Star Wars Fireworks Dessert Party for Christmas Eve!
Christmas Day - 'Ohana w/ Stitch!, Garden Grill Candlelight Lunch, & Via Napoli (because!)

We are doing the holiday sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness on 12/22!

In honor of this milestone, let's discuss our "extras" for our upcoming trips. I have a broad definition, so share whatever you are adding to this trip to make your trip extra special.

For us, this trip we are adding a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (ok maybe 2 even depending), a dessert party for Happily Ever After, and afternoon tea at the GF.

Well, I'm going to decorate my room like crazy! Need to find a cool fiber optic tree to set up and garlands and bring our stockings etc! (which we'll fill with stuff from Disney!)
As mentioned, we're doing the Sleigh ride around Wilderness Campgrounds to look at everyone else's super cool Christmas lighting.
Holiday dinner with Minnie and another one with Stitch and hopefully Star Wars dessert party.
Plan to see the trees at Disney Springs and the Drone light show; and visit all the Luxury and probably even Moderate hotels to see their Christmas decorations.

I’m super excited. I’ve got Wednesday morning planned to visit the Monorail resorts to see the decorations and celebrate at Ohana. That’s about the only thing extra I have planned. We are eating 3 princess meals

Sitting here at Poly right waiting ME to airport. Leaving 2 days early thanks to Dorian. Went to MNSSHP on Friday nite and also had tix for tomorrow night (Labor Day) party. While I was party on Friday I went to Guest Services and asked for a refund for Monday’s party since I was leaving Disney and would be unable to attend party. They did not want to give me a refund but did ask if I was coming back within next year and planning to attend another event. I asked if they knew what other events would be available and of course other than possible After Hours and Christmas parties they had no idea. I did tell them I was planning week before Christmas and they gave me a confirmation number to take to guest services to exchange for the Christmas party on 12/19.
I did not have to pay the price difference as price for next to last Christmas party is significantly higher than the MNSSHP I paid for.

Our "extras" for this trip.....

• MVMCP
• More table service dining than usual to get a break from crowds. Special for this trip are Candlelight Processional package at Teppan Edo on Christmas Eve and dinner at Chefs de France (a new restaurant for us; I hope we like it; anyone have thoughts?) on Christmas night. Also a dinner at Artist Point for Storybook Dining. I know it gets mixed reviews but we want to try it. Oh and also dinner for my mom, my eldest daughter, and myself (we arrive a night before my DH and other daughters) at California Grill on a MVMCP night which I'm hoping works out timing-wise for us to see the MVMCP fireworks from the viewing area there.
• We have a whole afternoon & evening blocked out to tour decorations at Wilderness Lodge and monorail resorts. If possible to check out holiday displays at Yacht and Beach Club, we want to try to do that (on our Epcot day), too.
• I will bring our stockings for some decoration in our room and fill with small things so that we have a little something to open on Christmas morning, but otherwise the trip is everyone's gift.

Debated about booking Jingle Bell Jingle Bam dessert party (when it becomes available) but ultimately decided against it. Would love to have unlimited budget for this (and the others like fireworks parties, Tony's, etc.) but our budget has its limits. Honestly, the trip itself is kind of an "extra" for us! There are six of us, so doing anything gets expensive immediately!

Loving the "extras" so far! We are also visiting resorts for the decorations and I had forgotten about it, so this is a good discussion to get me excited!

Great idea on the extras chat!

We are doing:

MVMCP twice and will upgrade if they offer an all access pass
Tony’s Most Merriest on one of the party nights. Will most likely cancel this if the all access pass is offered
Will book JBJB dessert party when released
Grand Floridian afternoon tea

We are contemplating booking the after hour events at AK and MK. However with our British £ so low against the dollar this may not happen. When we first started visiting the US we used to get $2 to £1. We are noticing a difference now and our 15 night YC stay is already £2000 more then our 2016 10 night WL stay. Even though it is 5 nights more it is still a lot!

Hello! Please add me to the roll call! We will be 12/21-12/27 at SOG. We fly in the evening of 12/21 and have tix to MVMCP on 12/22 so praying weather does not delay us at all! I am considering also doing the sleigh ride at Wilderness Lodge if I can squeeze in the time to get over there. Hubby wants to get tickets to the Star Wars movie so may also need to squeeze in a trip to DS that i wasn't counting on. Don't mind it too much because then we get to see the Christmas Tree Lane! We travel to WDW every summer so looking forward to a different perspective (and not sweating to death!)

Just moved our Labor Day weekend trip to December. Will be there 12/26-12/29. We got some serious pixie dust today. A CM who was moving our tickets and told us about an up-charge from the date-based ticket pricing. Apparently December tickets are WAY more expensive than September. It came out to about $650 extra. I told her I had to think about it and ask the other members in my party. Called back an hour later, fully willing to pay. The CM moved the dates on the ticket without question and without charging me. I was shocked and relieved.

We did Disney at the same time in 2018 and absolutely loved it. The decorations, the snow on Main Street, the nicer weather. I'm super excited!

No extras planned right now. Maybe I'll schedule a dessert party? Or perhaps I'll upgrade our hotel room? Who knows!

For anyone considering the sleigh ride, we did it in 2016 and it is amazing! It’s a lovely private experience and there is music played in the sleigh. The CM we had was amazing and took pictures of us in the sleigh after. I need to call to get this booked actually!

Please add us to the roll call. 12/4 - 12/11 Pop Century We will head straight to GE from the airport to try and see it before the opening of ROTR. On the 5th we plan to be up around 2am to get on line for the opening of the ride. Just a guess at this point based on the opening day of GE. We are also taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour. My Mom has wanted to take the tour for years. We are celebrating her 75 year birthday and finally taking the tour!

Our 11/30 - 12/7 is a surprise birthday trip, I am ordering a birthday cake. I think we are going to have to do a MVMCP in order to see Magic Kingdom at night, the hours for the first week of Dec are horrible. Dec 4th is Kiddo's birthday we will be spending it at HS his favorite park, I have reservations for the light saber and droid builds. I have the candlelight processional package booked for Via Napoli. I might add the JBJ depending on the hours and if there is any extra magic hours for HS.

Extras! 1st MVMCP, Disney Holiday D-Lights tour, Mom's birthday dinner at Morimoto Asia. So thrilled to see Christmas decor for the first time!!! We were also able to get reservations for Oga's Cantina & Savi's Workshop.
