***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

It's a new week, and a new Question of the Day!!!

What is your favorite snack in each park?

thanks for posting!

mine:
MK: dole whip (usually more than 1!)
Epcot: caramel apple from Karamel Kuche (missed getting one the last two trips. if someone tried to come between me and that Apple this time, it won't be pretty)
HS: I always seem to have a Mickey pretzel at HS. not a unique snack, but a yummy one
AK: I don't think I've ever eaten a snack in AK! usually we go to AKL for lunch at Sanaa, so I spend the morning dreaming of the bread service and the afternoon stuffed with naan.

I think this all means I need to up my snacking game this time around!

related news:
leaving for NYC in 28 days
arriving at CSR in 35 days
moving to GF in 39 days!

Yay!!! What are your dates at GF? We are 4/29 - 5/1 (that's our post cruise resort). So excited!!

Hubby just threw a wrench in our plans... a good wrench, but when you are a detailed planner like me, my Disney brain kicks into overdrive. Our plan was to leave on the 16th and drive from Massachusetts, arriving on the 17th after an over night stop. He booked flights this morning, so we arrive on the 16th! Staying at POFQ. It seems like that is the only moderate with availability that night, so it works out thankfully.:) So excited that we will have the full day on Sunday to enjoy. But now... where do we eat, what about Fastpasses, do I work around existing ADR's, or make changes??? EEEEkkkk!!!

we're at CSR (BC) from the 18th-22nd, then at GF 22nd-24th. I'm so so excited to stay at GF! it'll be our first time there.

I hope you have a wonderful stay, and a great cruise! we're thinking of cruising for the first time next year. fingers crossed!

It's our first time staying at GF too - and our 1st cruise! Lots of firsts this trip! :)

Oh man, this is difficult. I don't really have a favorite snack at HS or AK - I'll usually just get a Mickey Bar at these two if I really want something.

MK: That nutella waffle was pretty amazing, but nothing will ever beat the Dole Whip in my heart...LeFou's Brew is a pretty close second.

Epcot: In the most unpopular choice ever, lefse. Like I've never seen anyone else but me buy it and it's a very acquired taste (butter with a bit of cinnamon sugar on a potato roll), but it's the only place I can buy it and it's the biggest nostalgia kick for me because my mother's family used to make them for everything.

April 23-30 in AoA.....so excited!

Welcome!

Omg yay! Are you at FQ the whole week? We have one night at Riverside but then move over to FQ on the 16th and are there for the rest of the week :D

We've done these on some past threads like this - getting everyone excited with Question of the Day!

So, I'll start -- What # trip is this for you and your travel party???

For us, it is DH and myself, it is our 12th trip (my first was in 1986)

For our 9 and 11 yr old girls, it is their 8th trip!! :flower3:

And for our 1 yr old (14 months old), this will be his 2nd trip!! (3rd if you count when he was in my tummy)! :p

How about you??

Our party is me (4th trip), my fiancé (3rd trip), DS 10 (3rd trip) and DS 2 - turning 3 (2nd trip).

Only 38 days left!

23 days!!! Stalking the mailbox for magic bands, and starting to make a pile of things to pack!

It's my son's 12th birthday this weekend, and we finally get to unveil the surprise! We have an entire scavenger hunt planned, complete with little rhyming clues. (We are such nerds, but it was so fun to do!)

Favorite snack in each park:

MK: Dole Whip Float! I dream of them!!!

Epcot: hard to say. There are so many! I'm going to have to go with the pork belly steamed buns from China at the last F&W I went to.

AK: Never been! Looking forward to trying Flame Tree BBQ.

DHS: Any cupcake from Starring Rolls!

Favorite snack? I don't really have a list of my favorites. BUT! I have a list of things I can't wait to try this time. Dole Whip is #1 on the list - I had never heard of it until the boards (crazy right?!?). There is a raspberry and lemon macaron in the France pavilion that looks dreamy. My sister and I are excited to eat Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bars - we haven't had them since we went as kids.

There are no rooms available for the 16th right now, LOL. We don't get in until 7:30 pm, so for now we booked a room at the airport hotel. Will take the Magical Express over first thing in the morning. From then on we will be at POFQ for the week! Super excited. I've never stayed at POFQ, but I have great memories of several trips to the FQ in New Orleans as a kid with my family.

I want to keep the ball rolling--here's my first try at a question of the day!

I've already told you folks that I love shows! so if you could only see one show in the World, which would it be and why?

I would pick Fantasmic!, no question. it's perfectly Disney, in my mind. the music makes my heart smile--great music, great story, tons of characters--it simply wouldn't be a Disney trip without the show.
