***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

I (shockingly) don't have anything packed yet - I posted a big thing about how I feel about clothes right now in my PTR - but I do have a bunch of little things that I'm slowly setting aside for our trip. Normally I have my park bag set aside by now but I'm having such a conundrum! I was going to carry a little Vera Bradley saddlebag my aunt had given me for Christmas (the leatherette Mickey head one they sell in the parks) but I'm not sure it's a good enough bag to rely on all the time or to just use some days!

I actually just got all the kids new bathing suits today - they will go in their Easter Baskets but hey! I got something done!

I'm staying at the Contemporary 4/9-4/12. I have my FP+ for MK on 4/9 done (7DMT, Haunted Mansion, and Wishes; BTMR is down for refurb that week). No BOG open for dinner so I'll eat where I can. I did get ADR for Wave for dinner on 4/11. Too bad I have to spend 4/10-4/12 in a conference, but at least I'm able to get there a day early for a little fun.

Last time I went in April was about five years ago but I've been pestering my parents (who go March/April almost every year) and looking back at my old photos. You should have a hoodie or a light sweater/jacket with you for when the sun goes down (or, if you're like me, in restaurants) but for the most part you should be able to wear shorts, but bring a long pair of jeans or two with you to be on the safe side - I remember a couple of really cold days (or, more specifically nights) last time I was there in the spring!

This is exactly what I would say and I've in mid-April about 15+ times. We have pretty much always been ok with shorts, t-shirts, and swimming in the day and then occasionally long pants or a sweatshirt at night. If it has rained it has usually been one of the mid day passing thunder storm type situations. I think only once or twice out of all my trips did we have a full out day of rain. Try not to worry everyone. April weather is usually awesome!!

I am doing the same thing! Kids are getting new stuff for our trip in their Easter basket!

Yeah, I totally blew it though. I should have probably looked at the date for Easter this year. We are a Greek Orthodox Christian family, and Easter isn't until 5/1 this year....the last day of our trip!!!!! :crazy2:

Ahhh....!!! Just switched around our flight and decided to arrive a day sooner! So we will arrive at POR on April 22 now! Only sad thing was that they couldn't just add the day to my package (I assume bc there weren't any rooms left with the sprint discount) so I had to make a completely separate room only reservation for that night in a standard room. So, no extra day for booking FP. Also not super excited about switching rooms after the first night, but it will be worth it!

Won't get to POR until after my girls bedtime. Yikes...flight lands around 7:30, and I think for the first time ever, we will actually pick up our own luggage before boarding DME. Probably won't get to POR til close to 10!?

However....it means we get the full day on the 23rd, instead of only a half!!! Which makes a huge difference!

Sooo excited!! Can't wait til FP on Monday night!!!!

Our FP+s are made. One bit of weirdness. I didn't expect both Test Track and Mission: Space to be in Category 1. Having to choose between those two, there wasn't really much in Category 2 worth picking. I was also a little surprised that Illuminations was already booked up less than 3 hours after the slots became available. (I suppose guests with longer vacations had a better shot at those slots if they planned to visit Epcot later in their trips.) We weren't expect Illuminations anyway, knowing it was in Category 1.

Got it thanks!

I was able to get Illuminations and test track on separate days, some of the crowd calendars show Epcot with crowd lvl 3 predictions, so you may not need any FP's for that park.

Thanks for this; this is the first time in a while that the musical entertainment the week I'm there (on either end actually) has been a band I'm actively interested in so that's cool!

We leave for WDW on 4/3 so thank you Rickat96 for the menu link for the outdoor kitchens, looks yummy! I have to get the frushi this year, I missed it last year. My daughter and I are getting excited for our trip, we are getting close to the 30 day mark.

53 days to go- Luggage dusted off, set in the room just waiting to be packed, 3 weeks until magic bands ship, found this collapsible fold out wagon at Walmart- easy way to unload the luggage and room stuff from the car-
