***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

And one more thing- was able to change from the Treehouse Villa (Saratoga Springs) to a 2 Bedroom Villa at Old Key West. Saved quite a bit of money.

So excited to join the April 2016 party! I've been to WDW 5 times, and our last trip was in November. It was a bit of a difficult trip--we brought a friend who was initially really excited but ended up spending our time in Orlando sulking, which made things a lot less fun--and with the Canadian dollar where it is, we had kind of accepted we wouldn't be back for a good while.

Fast forward to this month, when DP learns she'll be in NYC for a conference in April. It works for my schedule to come along (which I'm really excited for--I've never been, and I'm a musical-aholic!) and with work paying for her travel/accommodations, the trip is pretty affordable. And since we're already on the East coast of the US, what's a trip down to Orlando...

We got creative with airline credits and frequent flyer miles, so travel is going to cost 75$ Canadian to hop down for a few nights. Add a great discount at CSR (we've stayed here before and really enjoyed it) and amazingly we're going to WDW! We're in NYC 11-18 April, then 18-22 April in the World--I think that puts us at 63 days? It's a whirlwind I'm so happy to be caught in

HI! I'm lerking on here, we are planning an April 2017 trip, but I wanted to check in on my 2016 April travelers and see how everyone's trip goes. Now on to the PTRs!!! :disrocks:

Am I alone in worrying a little about how wet April could be if El Niño is still having an impact. I always worry about the weather, I hate that about me:o

Fast pass Selection was a little weird. It appears that wishes is not available April 20-22 (not even offered) Wishes is offered April 18 but is full. I do remember reading something about a rumor that it was a VIP party the blocked out the area- Not sure though.

When doing your fast passes- make sure the times dont run you all over the park chasing ADR's and FP+.

The rumor came from this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/wishes-fp-ending.3483037/

There's no official word on the change/blackout dates, yet - it's all speculation at this point.

I too am going in late April and worrying about El Niño impact. I always worry about the weather as well. I usually go in July or August, so I guess, if it rains, I'll be prepared. Let's pray for the best. (I actually do pray for good vacation weather. Is that crazy ?! Lol)

Last time I went in April was about five years ago but I've been pestering my parents (who go March/April almost every year) and looking back at my old photos. You should have a hoodie or a light sweater/jacket with you for when the sun goes down (or, if you're like me, in restaurants) but for the most part you should be able to wear shorts, but bring a long pair of jeans or two with you to be on the safe side - I remember a couple of really cold days (or, more specifically nights) last time I was there in the spring!

Hey all, it's your friendly, neighborhood Elle!

I was thinking about this while on my daily walk (I'm still walking so bare with me if things get muddled) (I tell myself I'm training for the Disney multitask!) but the last couple of years in the DiS planning groups I've been a part of we've had a hashtag we've used to find each other's pictures and posts on instagram or twitter.

So anyway, my thought was to make a list of people's twitter and Instagram handles on here as we get closer to our trips to share packing tips, pictures, and realtime updates with each other if that's your style! What do you all think?

We went last year during the last few days of March and first few days of April. I think the high temperature was in the mid- to upper-70s all week, with a decent rain shower on one afternoon, and we wore shorts and tees comfortably just about every day. Most mornings we wore our hoodies and then carried them once it got warm - except for our DHS day, when we decided it was warm enough to leave them in the room, and then froze that evening during Fantasmic! I'd definitely recommend hanging onto the hoodie for the evenings, and I second the recommendation to bring at least one pair of long pants.

I will make a twitter account and resurrect my Instagram account and post it once have the info- great idea!

I've added these items to the packing list too!

 I can't remember if I posted the change, but the last leg of our trip changed to the GF...if you want to change it on page 1. :goodvibes

Anybody start packing yet? We are 69 days out and usually for our April trips, I can start packing pretty early because there is no way any of the clothes we need for the trip will be needed in New England right now. :rotfl2:

Alas, I have put a few things aside, but nothing packed yet. I really need to start listing making. I love lists. :jumping1:

I (shockingly) don't have anything packed yet - I posted a big thing about how I feel about clothes right now in my PTR - but I do have a bunch of little things that I'm slowly setting aside for our trip. Normally I have my park bag set aside by now but I'm having such a conundrum! I was going to carry a little Vera Bradley saddlebag my aunt had given me for Christmas (the leatherette Mickey head one they sell in the parks) but I'm not sure it's a good enough bag to rely on all the time or to just use some days!
