***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

i just looked @ the schedule for the F&G Festival, this Super Group will be there the weekend i get there. i can hear it now everyone walking around singing, I'm Henery the 8th i am , i am. :hippie:

    • Weekend 5: April 1 – 3, 2016
Musical Act: Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone
Known for the Song: “I’m Henry VIII, I Am”

Oh, man, lucky you! I wish they were there my week; I'd definitely try to see them. And now you've got me singing, "There's a kind of hush... all over the world tonight... all over the world, people just like us are falling in love..." :music:

It's Sunday and I'm on MDE messing with my plans again. I just booked lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby for one day, since the upcoming Star Wars "procession" and stage show (and the possibility of meeting Olaf!) have me "stuck" at DHS for more than a quick morning or two. But now I have to figure out how I'm supposed to get my Tangierine lamb shawarma AND be able to make more than one attempt at Taste Track. (I changed my sig line for this year to ADRs - Adventures in Dining Reservations, because I really am leaving open a lot of meal plans until I get there and am going to try for some last minute ADRs for dinner on at least a couple of evenings.)

I bought a new pair of Nikes yesterday and a couple of new tops for the trip. I REALLY need for more spring/summer short-sleeved stuff to come out to finish my wardrobe.

Come on, April! :flower1::flower::daisy::flower3:

Tonight's the night! Our 60-day window opens at midnight, but now I'm starting to second-guess the itinerary I had put together, considering swapping parks around for different days/times, and I feel SO unprepared to choose our FPs. This will be our first time using parkhopper tickets, so I'm trying to take advantage of those as well as follow the recommendations of the EasyWDW crowd calendar (without messing up any "critical" ADRs that we've already made, like an 8:00am CP!). It's hard to plan our AK day(s) without knowing the details of ROL, Tiffins, and the nighttime safari, though! We also changed our flight to come in earlier on our arrival day, and now plan to spend that afternoon and evening at DHS, which will add a full break day in the middle of our trip (unless we add a day to our tickets while we're there). Despite the current chaotic state of my plans, I cannot wait for our trip to get here!

So excited to join the April 2016 party! I've been to WDW 5 times, and our last trip was in November. It was a bit of a difficult trip--we brought a friend who was initially really excited but ended up spending our time in Orlando sulking, which made things a lot less fun--and with the Canadian dollar where it is, we had kind of accepted we wouldn't be back for a good while.

Fast forward to this month, when DP learns she'll be in NYC for a conference in April. It works for my schedule to come along (which I'm really excited for--I've never been, and I'm a musical-aholic!) and with work paying for her travel/accommodations, the trip is pretty affordable. And since we're already on the East coast of the US, what's a trip down to Orlando...

We got creative with airline credits and frequent flyer miles, so travel is going to cost 75$ Canadian to hop down for a few nights. Add a great discount at CSR (we've stayed here before and really enjoyed it) and amazingly we're going to WDW! We're in NYC 11-18 April, then 18-22 April in the World--I think that puts us at 63 days? It's a whirlwind I'm so happy to be caught in

The happy dance just got bigger! DP just surprised me with 2 extra nights at the Grand Floridian at the end of our trip. So much for a more budget-friendly trip--bring on the 2-day splurge! Can I start packing yet?!

So, is there an April 2016 FP cancellation thread anywhere? I know we have one for dining...

I've only seen threads covering months up through February, and they don't seem to get much action. Links to each month are all contained in one pinned thread in the Everything Fastpass+ board: http://www.disboards.com/threads/ne...uidelines-links-to-monthly-exchanges.3463585/

ETA: If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Dibb's FastPass Availability tool: www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=835236
It's updated every 30 minutes to show availability for the toughest FPs to get in each of the four parks for the next 75 days.

I hear you... Our window opens tonight too and I'm trying to be sure of our plans. It is hard not to second-guess, especially for the AK stuff. Remember the reasons you chose which park for which day, based on the calendars and ADRs, and it will go great. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Woo, I got an extra Magical Ribbons hairbow as a Valentine's Day extra and it is very unbecoming in my hair (the red of my hair and the red of the ribbon clash) so I'm going to meet up with my cousin while I'm down there to give it to her and her daughter (and the added bonus of spending some time with them which I haven't done in years!)

Has anyone here had good luck with coordinating FP+ cancellations? I haven't had a chance/need to try and coordinate yet, but I'm curious if it works like ADRs (that they're released and show up as available right away).

Thanks for the reassurance! Good luck to you tonight, too!

Hi everyone! My youngest daughter (she'll be 17 on April 12th) and I will be heading down the week of April 16. We can hardly stand the wait. We have been having Disney withdrawals for a while now. We haven't been since 2013. Timing has just not been right. My husband had a stroke December 2014 so that put the stop to that year. He is doing well now and even back to work. Thank God! So finally we are driving down from Massachusetts. We are stopping in Alpharetta Georgia to see my oldest daughter who has been living there since December. Miss her. Can't wait to see her. Then on our way to my happy place!!!! So looking forward to seeing all the new changes.

When doing your fast passes- make sure the times dont run you all over the park chasing ADR's and FP+.

That's excellent info (esp for a first timer) I wish someone would have mentioned to me prior to going in 2014, was our first trip to WDW and although it could have been much worse we found ourselves doing just that. Just made our FP+ selections a few days ago and def planned it out better this time.. CAN'T WAIT!! :D

I think the reason there isn't much activity with cancelation threads is because its suggested that people don't cancel just do changes or update times. Am not sure if it can be coordinated when changes are made.

What do you all think about Wishes dropping off fp+? Are they not doing wishes from April 19th?

They are still having Wishes - just not offering a FP. There's been no official announcement or reason from Disney yet, but a lot of speculation about the potential reason behind it in this thread: http://www.disboards.com/threads/wishes-fp-ending.3483037/

Wishes is on the calendar every night during my visit, but I just made my FP selections this morning and Wishes FP wasn't even in the list of options for 4/23-5/1.
