I just checked the rates for St. Petersburg Airport for Alamo to see if it was any better than the rate I have locked in and got a surprise:

Did you enter a "code" or "coupon"? Sometimes you get this message if they are sold out for a particular promotion. Did you try with no codes or coupons?

OMG ! just did my daily check at Alamo and it went down again for my April rental !! my total including taxes for a premium car is $67 !! 7 days and only $67 that is using the costco ID and the $35 coupon !

I did my daily Alamo check and it came down another $25 for a full size vehicle out of MCO for 4/26-30th.

FINALLY a good price for me Alamo premium for 4/21 - 4/28 for $110 (used Costco code and AA $35 coupon).

38 days!!!

Happy to say I also got a great rate...Premium (Toyota Avalon) from April 12-22 for $191.50 including taxes. With Alamo using Insiders code with AD2359fdf coupon and BJ's member code.

Thought it was strange that the Premiums are so much less than the other cars. Go figure.

I can't seem to get mine with Alamo under $500. April 3-14. I ealize that it is over Easter, but have never paid that much. That was with Costco and the $35. off. Hopefully it will come down.

Try using id code 299851 and add what ever coupon you have. You should be able to come in well under $500 on most vehicles.

So glad I checked back here again. Just used the costco Alamo code (and coupon) for 4/12 to 4/26- premium car- for $226.

I had Dollar booked for a mid size pre and post cruise. Now we can keep the same car, a BIGGER car, park it and PAY LESS

Already had a reservation with Budget 4/11-4/18 for $202 with taxes...thanks to all of you I was able to re-book a Premium car with Alamo for $138 all in. Used the Costco code (we are members) and the $35 coupon!

Would anyone be willing to help me out? I was one of the people booked on Direct Air and had my flights to Sanford/Orlando in April cancelled yesterday. I've spent today trying to find new flights for our trip. We are now booked on Southwest to Orlando (MCO) for 4/20-4/29 instead of Sanford for 4/21-4/28. I'm thrilled with the added days but exhausted with the whole process. Still, I feel like I can't rest until I have the flights and car sorted out.

So...

Would anyone be willing to take a look and see what they can turn up for me? We are 4 adults. We had a an SUV with Wendie's great codes before but looks like the rate has jumped with the change in airport and extra 2 days. I'm trying really hard to keep us under $200.

4/20 - flight arrives at 4:40pm
4/29 - flight departs at 9:40pm

Thoughts?

We are members of BJ's and AAA.

Sorry, I tired to help with my corp ID(TI1) and it says the code is not valid so they must not be accepting it for any new reservations.

I rebooked a car with Alamo. I joined their insiders club which gave me an ID number. I then used BJ code 7014696, Along with coupon code AD2359FDF.

I was able to get a Premium..Toyota Avalon or similar for $192.50 for ten days...April 12-21.

Unfortunately, the rates constantly change.

I would also suggest checking Budget with code x474200.

Also check out rentalcodes.com along with mousesavers.com rentals page.

Hope this helps! And just think...it will all be worthit in the end!!!

I have noticed prices going up instead of down.. I feel very fortunate that I got such a good price 12 days ago.. Is it a pattern that they go down the last 2 weeks of arrival? I am VERY happy with where I am but am still hopeful that something else might pop up.. 3 more weeks..

I agree, the rates are much higher than they were. I think as Easter approaches the rates will continue to climb. My last trip (in January) the rates didn't drop until 4 days before my trip. I'm glad I got something I could live with last week as the rates for my timeframe are much higher now.

.Sorry to hear about your situation with Direct Air. Check autoslash.com. If you are willing to take a shuttle to SIXT (they are off the airport) they are showing an SUV for $261 total for your dates.
