We got a great “resort” view this trip. Room 7639 2nd floor 1bedroom villa. We feel we got lucky as it was the first time we booked a resort view villa and had low expectations!

Yes it’s the Pembe Savannah. Did not see any hogs. Off to the left side we have a view of pool bar.

Refurbished Rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village Debut December 12th​

The first round of refurbished Disney Vacation Club accommodations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village will begin welcoming Guests starting Friday, December 12th. This news was announced during today’s 2025 Animal Kingdom Lodge Condo Association Meeting.

Full hard goods refurbishments kicked off at Kidani in October 2025 and will continue through May 2026, before moving to Jambo House, which is slated for refurbishment from May 2026 through January 2027.


These hard goods refurbishments include major updates to guest rooms and public spaces, such as new furniture, flooring, lighting, and possibly even layout enhancements.

What’s Changing at Animal Kingdom Lodge?

DVC again confirmed that Murphy-style pull-down beds will be part of the upgrades where space allows at Animal Kingdom. However, in response to Member questions, they emphasized that efforts are being made to preserve the unique charm and atmosphere that make Animal Kingdom Lodge so beloved by Members.

I wish they shared photos of the refurbished rooms, but perhaps they're still putting the finishing touches on them or just want it to be a surprise and delight for the first guests later this week.

I love your view. I’m really struggling to decide on savanna or resort view room. I think I’d like a savanna but the points difference for a 10 night stay is big.
How do I decide, help!
