The discount is roughly equivalent to Adults and Juniors (ages 10-17) paying the Child price for tickets and dining plan. Your package must include at least 3 nights’ stay and 2-day tickets, plus a dining plan for the length of your stay.

Value resorts can be booked with any dining plan, including the Quick Service Dining Plan. All other resorts must include the regular Dining Plan or Deluxe Dining Plan.

Offer excludes Villas at Grand Floridian, Art of Animation Resort, campsites and 3-bedroom villas. As with all Disney promotional discounts, some resorts, room types and date combinations will not be available. It’s important to be flexible if you want to book a discounted package.

Book by 12/31/13.

So confused on this offer. I just switched to SPD and saved about 700. I thought it would be higher. 4 adults for 5 days. I called back and the CM said it is a % off of each component not adults at kids prices?

You are right. Is has been reported in other threads that this years offer is different than last year. If enough people post their package specifics and cost quoted, hopefully we can figure out the actual discount.

Yes, I would love it if people could share their details. We are deciding between RO and SPD for our existing Feb 2014 reservation, but we have a few quirks in how we would like to handle things that make it difficult to calculate. For example, I'm on the fence about 6 vs. 7 day tickets, and I'd like to upgrade one or both of my older kids to adults for the DDP if we go with SPD, since they'll be bored eating kid food for a week. All of that combined makes it difficult to calculate what we'd really be saving. I think S/P/D is going to be the better deal, as we are only paying about 200 or so per night at POR for a preferred room, roughly 1500 for 7 nights.

I'll start with specifics here.
POR garden view, 2/1 - 2/8. 2 adults, 7 nights, 8 day MYW with PH and s/p/d = $2,473.40
When I calculated it separately thru the Disney site, I came up with $2,445.94.
Visa offer is $27.46 more than what I thought.

I booked All Star Movies, 1/27-2/6 (10 nights) for 2 adults with regular dining plan and 7 day park tickets including park hopper option for $2448.28. This is for a standard room.

WL Woods view, bunk bed 2/1 thru 2/11 3 Disney Adults, 1 child, quoted at SPD of 6198, RO discount package 5992.42. This is with base tickets and regular DP.

I booked POR for 7 nights with the S/P/D deal and it came to $2670.82 for 2 adults and 1 child. I also booked the same deal for my parents (2 adults) at $2305.14.

Forgot to add ours is the regular dining plan and 6 day base tickets :)

Can you tell us what rooms that worked for? We are currently booked in a preferred at POR (AB, obviously).

Yes, sorry! It's for garden view rooms. We were originally booked for standard rooms but had to change it to get the deal. We started out with standard rooms and a QS dining plan, but now we have a garden view plus regular dining for $15 more :)

Nice! That was quite a deal :)

Dumb question, but are there garden and standard for preferred rooms at POR, or are they all just one category? I'm still confused about that LOL.

We did 2 adults at POP, 1/20-1/28, with the deluxe plan is about $2700. Same dates at POFQ for $3400, again with the deluxe plan. It sounds like it's a great deal if you do the regular dining, but not as good of a deal for deluxe dining plan. You guys have some fabulous prices for 2 adults on the regular dining plan.

Do you know if this is a better deal or if we should hold out for *hopefully* free dining in September and then we can do the deluxe plan?

Thanks!

Here's what we got: January 31st-February 9th- 9 nights 2 adults, 2 kids POR garden view 9 days park tix, no park hopper Regular dining plan Total: 3661.02 Not bad!!

so sad I don't have a visa.... I want this set in stone! :lmao: since we'll have 4 adults and 1 kid SPD won't be the cheaper option this year.
