Nice to see everyone is in training mode.
Be sure to hydrate the heat is bad everywhere, going on 2 week of got weather and 5 day of 100+ heat index in PA.
My training took a hit, I tweaked my hammy and punctured my thigh all in the same day. The hammy occurred on an 8 mile run and the puncture happen while working in garden.
The puncture was about 1/2 inch deep in tear drop muscle above knee, hurt a lot and hays me pain, it has been almost 2 weeks an it is feeling better, but I missed 5 dad of workouts.
The hammy still hurts but I think it has more to do with needing a visit to my chiro, which is tomorrow morning.
As a result I upped my swimming workout to 2miles per workout, every T,Th and Sat.
I also have increased bike workouts, since no running, to 3 per week between 30 - 40 miles each outing.
Do not feel that I am losing anything as my base is pretty good, but hope to be running again Sunday.
Keep on training.

I waited until 8pm to run, the temp finally dropped to 94 degrees. All in all it was actual a decent run, my lungs much prefer the heat!
That will happen AFTER the race!
. It was still very humid and fairly warm but I managed to run 2.25 miles. I started with a 1/4 mile walk and then proceeded to run the next 2 miles without using my intervals. I felt pretty good and wanted to keep going, but for some reason, I was getting really uneasy
. I don't know what it was...I've run in the dark before, but before sunrise, not after sunset. I'm not a timid person but I was just so focused on everything around me that I was having trouble just relaxing and "zoning out" into the run. I was running through my subdivision which is fairly quiet, but I just had that gut feeling
. Ugh! I usually don't stay up too much past 10:30 but luckily, I don't have to get up early for anything tomorrow.
since I have to be in the shower by 5:45am.
)...much lower energy after a 12-hour workday...it energizes me making it difficult to go to bed soon after the run
Believe me, running at 10pm the night of the race really isn't that big a deal. There is SO much going on and so many people around, the adrenaline will keep you going all night,
as long as you take it easy during the day. If you normally wake up early, I'd at least try and take a
that day if you can. You may not sleep, but at least you'll be off your legs and rested.
how did the new shoes work out?
. I already have $450 worth of GC's that I bought from Target so I don't have to take it out of the vacation account.
) so we can at least make an attempt to see him. How can I find out who the celebrity chefs will be and when they will be appearing? I've checked out some of the official websites and there is not a specific schedule. Is it still too early?
