The not so obvious tips

If it's even CLOSE to "that time of the month" dont' forget to bring some pads or tampons with you. I had to hike back to the hotel to get them. Pain. (I wont' use the hiddious ones from the vending machine)

Extra socks in case your feet get wet on Splash or Rapids

Go with the OB tamponss without the applicator, they're so small that you can put them into a little coin purse so that you don't have to dig around in your bag and can leave the bag with the people you're with (in case it has the food/water/other necessities they might want) while bringing what you need with you in a discreet manner.

I agree with the OB recomendation. They are small enough that I can just carry one in my pocket.

The one thing I always wish I'd pack,
(and haven't yet remembered to do so!)
is a power strip so I can plug in and charge
my cel phone, DH's phone, our Ipod, the DS, the battery charger for the camera, and on and on and on
without having to hunt for outlets in our hotel room.

Keep the safety pin tip for your wedding!!!! Friend of mine (well, former friend I guess) even tried to start a business for wedding-day boxes of supplies, and I wish it had been successful! Chalk to cover up scuffs on white/ivory gowns, safety pins in various sizes, just all sorts of things. I brought safety pins to my oldest friend's wedding, and needed them! She has always been VERY naturally thin, never worried about losing weight, so of course she lost about 5 pounds and her slip was falling off of her. Had to pin it up so it couldn't be seen under her vintage gown from the '20s. Then on my wedding day I needed the safety pins the former friend put in the bridal box, and my maid of honor had left it at the hotel! Harumph!

So bring those to your wedding (and actually *have them* near you at your wedding, LOL).

:cutie: I carry safety pins everywhere, you can find me Mc Guivering complete strangers with them :lmao: Never leave home with out them. Great Idea of the chalk!! I would have never thought of that, thank you:idea:

I have excema on my hands and it drives me nuts, so I can relate, I cannot use just any hand lotion, most of them burn my skin, for my hands are typically irritated, which makes me irritated too! ;)

Actually, now that I do a search on sallybeauty.com it doesn't show up.. Where do you buy yours at?

I buy mine at J C Penny Styling Salon, in Santa Rosa, Ca.
I don't know how close you live or work to the address's that supply the product for Oxnard, but when you have a chance look into those business's. Also, you can look into the next closest locations, by going to the companies website, I included the appropriate links, in my original post.

Holy Cow!! I just totally burnt my grilled cheese sandwich because I was sooo wrapped up in the DIS! :lmao:

Bring a white noise machine for the hotel room. They are small and easy to use. Just in case you have noisy neighbors, are near the elevator or have late arrivals down the hall. It saves us every time.

We also love the glow stick thingies, we had them for our last trip and even the grownups wore them. Plus all of the older kids (19-21). We put them on the stroller and purses. It sure saved a lot of hassle with our littles and wanting the DL ones.

Poor cheese sandwich! especially poor you, for now you have to make another one, make sure not to burn it this time, cheese is a terrible thing to waste ;) he!he! I am glad that you were not baking a chocolate cake, that would have just made me cry if it had burned!
Do white noise machines help at all, when someone snores like a freight train?
I might use the Cheeto technique next time for my friend! seriously!

Dont for get the deoderant (SP?). And I mean by packing it in you rbag that you are going to take INTO the park. Nothing worse than a day of magic filled with wet, sweaty underarms. JMHO.

Ewwwwwww.......that may fall into the TMI category. LOL I can honestly say I've never had to worry about sweating so much I had to carry deo INTO the park......:lmao:

Extra hair ties (the little bungy kind)! Not only do I use them to pull my hair back on some of the rides, but they can be great for keeping your charger's cords neat and tidy, keeping a laundry bag closed or whatever use you can think of them. When I was pregnant, someone even told me to keep my regular pants (and not buy maternity)... just loop a little hair tie around the button on your pants, through the hole and back again to keep them closed. :lmao: Might work for anyone who has one to many churros! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

Those spray bottles with the fan at the parks are expensive but they sell some at Walmart at a reasonable price. They have different kinds. My DBF and I got a small mister from there. It's a good way to help escape the heat on hot days. :dance3:

:rotfl: Shoot, I thought that was pixie dust getting in my hair! ;)

jernysgirl,

Thats true, those little guys can come in very handy, that and bobby pins :)
and thats funny about the churros.
And is it just me, or does a lot of the maternity wear that is out in different shops, are cut awfully small for women that are suppose to be getting quite large? sometines I cannot tell the difference between maternity wear and non maternity clothing.

Seriously!

I love, love, LOVE, my white noise machine... we sleep with one at home, which means I had to buy a travel one awhile back too... we don't travel without it! Drowns out any noise outside of your room, and if you sleep with it next to you--then you may be able to not hear the snorer too... no one snores in our family--unless I am preggo! :lmao: but it drowns out elevators, vacuums, loud obnoxious birds at the crack of dawn...

BTW, found Coleman brand fold down cups at Target for 2.19

Good to know! :) I was at Target this past Monday,( Ca.) and I looked specifically in their camping section, and found nothing, either I was not being observant enough, or they were not in stock, or not in stock at the time. I will give it another look, on my next trip.

It can be very difficult trying to type, when you have a parrot trying to mate with your shoulder! (ugh) shoo bird! shoo! and stay away until you find a parrot mate! (omg) anyone want a medium sized cockatoo cheap? will over night! ;) ha!ha!
