The not so obvious tips

Where do you buy this lotion at? Sounds worth a try!

I ALWAYS have to put lotion on after I wash my hands, it drives me NUTS when my hands are dry! Ick.

Speaking of, I need to buy a new bottle for my purse AND for our DL trip!!

I have excema on my hands and it drives me nuts, so I can relate, I cannot use just any hand lotion, most of them burn my skin, for my hands are typically irritated, which makes me irritated too! ;)
I love Avo Juice, it is really a life saver for my hands! :)

That link will show you how the information was suppose to show on this post.

Gisele, looks like the disboards don't like the colon and parenthesis start in that listing! :) Or rather: :(

I straightend up the location information for you, for it was interesting looking the way the board displayed it.

OMG! you are right, for I just got done straigtening that info out and there is a smilie that I did not want to show up I did not want any of those to s how up there, I will try to edit one more time. (ughh)

Trip is getting close, starting to think about what we need to pack. I know the obvious like sunscreen, hats..etc..But what are some things that I may not be thinking of. Things that when you were on your trips you needed to run out and buy or things you wish you had've brought and went without.

11 sleeps:banana:

If it's even CLOSE to "that time of the month" dont' forget to bring some pads or tampons with you. I had to hike back to the hotel to get them. Pain. (I wont' use the hiddious ones from the vending machine)

Extra socks in case your feet get wet on Splash or Rapids

Reminded me of when I try to send smilies/emoticons using IM to hubby. I have IM for Macs and hubby uses Vista, and sometimes they just come through with the code instead of the picture, and it confuses hubby. Before I got the mac, though, sometimes I would try to write 401(k) when talking about, well, that, and the k with parenthesis would come through IM to him as kissy lips. So it was "since you're getting a raise, should we increase the percentage for our 401 'SMOOCH'?" :rotfl:

I just wanted to give a quick warning with this. I did exactly this the last time we went to Disneyland but when my 5 year old rubbed her eyes after cracking the stick, she started to cry saying her eyes hurt. There was some kind of powder or something on the outside plastic and it transferred from her hands to her eyes. It was awful. I've never bought dollar store glow sticks since.

Just wanted to pass that along.

Wow! We've never had that problem after all the kajillions we've been through! But good to be aware

If you happen to have 2 digital cameras, or could borrow one from a friend, think about bringing 2. We just got back from a 7 day trip, and on day 4 my digi cam pooped out! I was facing the rest of my trip using disposable cameras!!!   I am horribly dependent on digital technology - I cannot survive without a digital camera!! Thankfully dh was willing to take a side trip to Target, and 400 pics later, I am a happy camper!!

I had never thought of this until we went a few times, but bring your lil' ones bathing suites and a little towel into the park (we have a stroller) so they can play in the water stuff in and around Bug's Land. Of course if it is really hot, it isn't needed, but there are some neat little water playgrounds.

didn't see it but we take a couple rolls of quarters and tide individually wrapped laundry soap. yes it's crazy to do laundry on vacation but we always try to get a hotel with this feature so 1) we don't need as many clothes 2) we we arrive home the laundry is done.

Pool toys - I buy them at home at the $ store or on sale and then I bring a zip lock bag to bring them home in or sometimes we just leave them at the pool for the next guests to enjoy.
Postcard stamps and pre-printed address lables for the postcards. It makes sending them so much easier when you can just slap on the address.

here are a few more things I thought of :
Safety pins, you never know when a button will pop off or something, right?
and a fresh pair of socks. I know summer is coming so when its hot this wont be relevant, but until then , after a long day of hoofing it at DL, a fresh pair of socks is truly magical:wizard: that way, you can have nice comfy feets well into the night.
:cloud9:
I must say , if I ever need to pack for anything Ill be here first to get everyones input, NASA couldnt do a better job!:cheer2:

For right now, instead of lists, snag a plastic bin if you have an extra, and start putting the little things in there. We have a "going to disney" bin that has chargers, ponchos (we bought the 7.50 ones from Disneyland a couple trips ago and keep re-using them, they hold up very well!), autograph book, some pens, pins, lanyards, and so on. Gift cards, too, that I've purchased or received in various ways.

Good tip, Molly! :cool2: I will definitely use that when we pack for our next trip!

Keep the safety pin tip for your wedding!!!! Friend of mine (well, former friend I guess) even tried to start a business for wedding-day boxes of supplies, and I wish it had been successful! Chalk to cover up scuffs on white/ivory gowns, safety pins in various sizes, just all sorts of things. I brought safety pins to my oldest friend's wedding, and needed them! She has always been VERY naturally thin, never worried about losing weight, so of course she lost about 5 pounds and her slip was falling off of her. Had to pin it up so it couldn't be seen under her vintage gown from the '20s. Then on my wedding day I needed the safety pins the former friend put in the bridal box, and my maid of honor had left it at the hotel! Harumph!

So bring those to your wedding (and actually *have them* near you at your wedding, LOL).

When you are standing at the FP machine......look at the little covered area to the left (it's just across the little path that leads to the bridge where people stand & watch the geyser).

Thanks! And thanks for the travel cup info from the OP too.

Also, we keep quarters and shiny pennies for the penny press machines. They tend to be tucked in the strangest corners with no change machines in site!

Autograph book and pens (sharpies). You may not think you'll get autographs, but you'll wish you had if the opportunity arises!

bumbershoot,

That is a funny story! :) good to know too, for I have been thinking about going MAC, for next desk top, or for laptop, and if I finally have a decent job, both! ;)

SeansMom, thank you for the link, it looks very nice indeed, and great price too! :)

I like to take some safety pins too, but I forgot to add them to my list the other day, ooops an oversight, ;) I have not taken laundry detergent in the past, but I think that it is a good idea, so I will probably be taking my little sample size with me, couldn't hurt, ( I think! ;) )
