The no-Covid talk BEST BBQ IN YOUR AREA thread. Bring it!

In my area it's Bombshell Burgers and BBQ in Huntington, WV; no other is even close. The Sunday buffet, served cafeteria style, is amazing! A second location opened up in Ashland, KY, but I haven't been to that one.

In Orange County, CA....Lucille's BBQ is it. It's a chain (a small, west coast chain in CA, NV and AZ).

They do the smoking of the meats right and it's a fabulous and fun (sort of kitschy) place. The theme is BBQ with a Southern influence.
I forgot about Lucille’s! I love that place but I don’t get to it often.

I'm in Murphy TX, north east of Dallas, a short miles from Southfork.

In my area Hutchins and Lockhart are probably the best, Coopers will always be a favorite but we don't drive over to Ft Worth much. Soulman is good too and we can get them on Door Dash. Brisket and sausage please and broccoli salad.

We take out of towners to Rudys, best gas station /bbQ!

Bangor, Maine. Not a ton of BBQ here. Actually, we have "Moe's" and it's not bad, but...

Concord, NH isn't far from us and they have Smokeshow BBQ. The owner is originally from NH, learned the bbq craft in Texas, and then moved back to NH. They have the best bbq of any northern New England place we've tried. We've eaten in Lockhart, TX, and Smokeshow really does have good Texas BBQ.

A couple hours away, Salvage BBQ in Portland, Maine is fantastic too.

eastern washington-my backyard. we have a big green egg, a gas grill and a stand alone smoker on the deck. dh does great bbq and we pretty much eat bbq every night as soon as the weather turns nice until it gets a bit too snowy/windy outside.

The legend in my area was a place called Flint's. They had a few places that seemed to never be open when I went by and I wasn't sure what the deal was. The final location closed in 2010, but the owners now operate in pop-ups.

Another place is Everett & Jones with locations in Oakland, Berkeley, and Hayward. I used to eat from their pregame setup before Cal football games.

One I heard of but never went to was Big Nate's in San Francisco. It was owned by former Warriors player Nate Thurmond.

One I probably tried more than any other was at the Oakland Coliseum (also at the former Oracle Arena) called Ribs-N-Things. Haven't tried it in years and I'm not sure they're still there. I'd order their 3 beef ribs, which were huge. It would come with a side of potato salad. Dessert was extra, but they had peach cobbler or sweet potato pie.

I'm in Philly so not a ton of BBQ places. My favorite is my son's house. He has turned into quite a decent BBQ chef. I don't like ribs but I LOVE his. He also makes a great chicken and his food is able to be identified. We always joked my grilling leaved a lot to be desired. Round and black were burgers, long and black were hot dogs and square and black was chicken. I think my son got into handling it because I was horrible.

As far as real restaurants go we used to have Famous Dave's but they closed. We had a tiny place that was run by someone who appeared on BBQ Pitmasters, I think it was Fat Jack's BBQ but they closed. All that is left is Mission BBQ, I am thinking of trying them for Mother's Day this year.

I can’t think of a single BBQ place near where we live. The closest is Famous Dave’s in Grand Rapids. When in the Pigeon Forge area we like Corky’s and Bennett’s.

Any suggestions for the Stockbridge/McDonough area of GA? We just moved here in December and the (*&$&#(& movers broke my husband's smoker.

How about Sweet Lucy’s on State Road? We’ve eaten there a number of times and thought it was very good. A number of co-workers recommended it to us.

I will preface this by saying that I grew up in Kansas City. I was used to excellent barbecue. Sadly, there is no barbecue in Florida that lives up to Kansas City barbecue. The best I've found here is Sonny's. 4 Rivers is not bad. I really miss Kansas City barbecue!

By the way, we also have no good Asian food in this area!

We tried Bennets, not Corky’s though. We ate at Boss Hoggs in Seveirville and liked that.

Haven'f found any great BBQ places in WI. If you're looking for beer and cheese, we got ya covered!!!

Best BBQ I've had is in Fort Worth, and a very close second in Kansas City.

We live in KC and there's a DISer that was from CA, moved to KC and a few years ago moved to Orlando. Whenever he can make it back to KC he makes sure to get his fill of KC bbq because he misses it as well.
