Happy Halloween my Cheerleader friends.

I don't make it to this thread often enough, but I like to check in from time to time. Sorry to hear about Teri's dad. Prayers for resolution to his medical problems and for comfort for the family. It's hard to imagine that this thread is already nearing the magic 150 page mark. I didn't realize that 150 was the limit. I managed to post on the first page and then I lost track of all of the goings on here. I think you should petition Pete for your very own board. :)

I hope to see some of you at WDW in December. I'm still trying to convince DW Sue to take a taxi from the airport over to WDW on November 10th instead of sitting there waiting 7 hours for our plane.

Hope everyone has a safe Halloween. Prayers for safe travel for those of you who will be out and about this weekend. Take care everyone.

Good afternoon everyone. Happy Halloween. I am glad that you liked the smooch. :teeth:

Hi TC - nice seeing you here. :)

BOO!

Hi TC!!!!!!!

gotta go upstairs and answer the door now

I had a nice mental health day but the boys lost 5-0 ...they were outplayed but the officiating didn't help either, it was closer than the score reflects :(

Ahhhhhhh You scared me Ann!!

Man I wish I was not at work today - we are having some snacks and games later though. Maybe it will be quiet tonight since everyone should be out walking around! :) Oh yeah and today is my Friday!! ;) :Pinkbounc

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, CHEERLEADERS!

TC, Patrick, Bob - nice of you gents to drop in on us ladies! :)

Our town has a HUGE parade tonight, so the town came up with the idea to have the kids go trick-or-treating the night BEFORE, so that everyone can go to the parade and not worry about missing out on one thing or another (or not being home to give out candy).

Of course last night was POURING rain, but the babysitter managed to get the kids around a block or so before it really started coming down. My choice was to take a 1/2 day today, to avoid the craziness downtown with the parade, but I've been coughing and hacking so badly, I decided it wasn't worth it to travel 3 hours to work for 3 1/2.

The boys came home and decided they were going to be brave enough to watch Halloween II, III...etc., etc. After III, I decided they'd had enough, and now we're watching the Disney Channel - which seems to be awfully confused, since they're playing CHRISTMAS episodes of cartoons! These will at least counter-act the scaries! ;)

Brandie - sounds like I wouldn't answer the door, either! Sorry you had such a horrific experience.

 to everyone else - I have to watch these kids, or the candy will be gone! Hey, where are my KitKats??? ;)

oh where's my manners...we have company

Come in Patrick, TC, sit sown and put your feet up,

have a drink ;)

HAppy Halloween, everyone! A much better night tonight than I had thought it would be. Lousy weather did not keep our kids away! Even rained off and on and I still gave out almost 13 bags of candy (well, I did do my annual candy share with my neighbor, who always manages to run out, even tho' he buys a lot..). TOo much fun, with lots of compliments on our decorations and pumpkins. People even took pictures of our decorations. So neat...

My gosh, a lot of visitors today. I hope Ann cleaned the house, since she didn't go into work.

Hi Patrick and TC!!

Debbie--you keep giving out the brew-skis and I bet we start getting lots of visitors. Hmmmm...maybe they'll help with the move in a few days.

ahd the best, was getting KNOCKED OUT cold, by a tree limb that fell on my noggin'... for real!

So that's what happened. Explains a lot......

Great night here everyone! Hope yours was as fun!

hiccup oops excuse me

Debbie....EEK! LOL

Um, I am having HOT FLASHES, I am not kidding, from the 1/2 dozen or so little Milky Ways I've eaten while watching Survivor, and the second  glass of wine I used to wash them down

Well, in the morning I will be going in to work and making an issue over something that happened Wed afternoon. I figure if I cannot "let it go" in my own mind after a mental health day, then I cannnot let it go at all...so "may the force be with me" or sumpin'..... I'm not good at confrontation.

Milky Ways and wine? I hope it was a dessert wine, at least. :p

Good luck in your confrontation tomorrow. We've had an issue lately with a woman who has a thermostat in her office, and keeps it at 62. This thermostat controls the temperature for the space outside her office and at least 15-20 other offices up the line. Now that may not seem like it's cold when it's 62 outside, when you're walking around...but when you're sitting in an office all day, it's brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. People routinely go in and turn the 'stat up when she's gone, and then she comes back in and get's all P.O.'d that someone's been "sneaky" and turned it up. News flash - it's flippin' FREEZING in here, lady! So...what did she do? She went out and bought a LOCK COVER for it and had maintenance install it!! This is a woman who is in the office for MAYBE 3 hours a day, and doesn't want anyone else to touch the thermostat, even if she's not there. I was SEETHING, HOPPING MADDDDDD!! I really, really dislike people who are so self-centered and inconsiderate, and I found it hard not to say anything to her (she's a senior partner in the law firm, and I am a "mere" secretary...so I may have won the word battle, but she would definitely win the war). I did, however, send emails to my manager, the partner I work for, and anyone else I could think of to let them know how far the insanity has gone. She even wrangled with the building people when they came and tried to talk to her - saying that it was not THEIR lock, and that people were complaining. She claims that the medical condition she has makes it necessary for her to have it that cold.

Now the building people are looking for a way to fix the heating system so that she doesn't control that whole line. But WHAT a total, raving, inconsiderate BEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH to not even want to meet people half-way!!! :mad

Whew! Sorry, I've been mad about this for a while, and just needed to vent for a bit.

Carry on with the beer!! :teeth:

Cookie, can you come up and come to work with me tomorrow??? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE?????????? I did the e-mail thing to avoid a face to face thing, and now it's gone too far.

PS...it was regular ol' white wine...Sauvignon Blanc. HAd a glass with dinner and didn't realize DH poured me another while we were cleaning up, answering the door, and then sitting down to watch Survivor........which is when I got into the chocolate...I mean it was just SITTING there in a big bowl calling my name........then I didn't want to pour the wine back into the bottle........oh well............time for a BIG glass of water, a tylenol, and bed............

OHHHHH AAAANNNNNNNNNIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE......
come get meeeeeeeeeeee................

I actually had candy bars and wine tonight too...the thought is awful  but thats what i had.......oh and a few doughnuts too

But I would give it all up...the candy and the wine........
if ONLY I could stop coughing and sleep right thru one night :( I'd be a happy woman

hope you're feeling better Gail

time for ER.....I mean on TV, not for me

I had a diet-coke and 1/2 of a Reeses cup that someone forced on me.

Sounds a bit better than wine and candy to me. Course, I don't like wine or Milky Way candy bars.
Lately, I haven't had much of a sweet tooth (or of an appetite, for that matter), so all the better for the weight loss thing-ie.

Debbie--keepright on popping the top on those Fosters for these big, virile men, who love to show us little helpless women how strong they are by flexing those big, burly muscles while they lift heavy things (like furniture). We're gonna need them in a very few days.

Good luck tomorrow Ann.

Oh Cookie - I got the money!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I am so very glad he did not say no........I am a happy girl! :)

Night all, talk to you on Sunday. 8 more days and I will be @ WDW!! :teeth:
