The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Not yet. I'm making butternut squash and sweet potatoes on Friday. We just keep running out of time to get started since I want to try making my own food...at least at the beginning. It's SOOO easy to just roast the veggies and then puree them. I got ice cube trays to put the food in and then I'll just pop them out and stick them in a freezer bag. It's so much cheaper!

I know what I'm doing all day!! I love me some weird photo sites. Have any of you seen www.peopleofwalmart.com OMG!

We make our own food, and it is time consuming, but super easy. Here's a really good website I've found. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/ Sometimes when produce isn't on sale, we use the frozen veggies / fruits, and the outcome is the same. Isabelle will eat jars and fresh food, except for bananas, which she has nothing to do with in the jars. Good luck!

My DH and I were just saying we're surprised our picture has never shown up on the people of Walmart...when my water broke at 3am, the doctor told me to walk around for an hour to see if I was still leaking to make sure it had really broke. :scared1: Silly me couldn't just walk around the house without going crazy, so we walked around Walmart at 3am (in our sweats), and also bought toilet paper because I knew we were running low and didn't want to think about going to the store right after delivery. Needless to say, we didn't need to walk around Walmart for a full hour to know that my water had broke. :rotfl2:

Hey mommas, hope all are well!

I found a couple of Enfamil and GoodStart checks, PM me if you can use them. (We've been using Similac Sensitive to supplement.):)

I know, I used to make the stuff for Lucas... but now WIC pays for it soooo I just use what they buy. :confused3

I only ever made bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas and green beans for him, though.

I was dead to the world this morning so when Lucas woke up at 10 I gave him a bottle in his crib and laid back down in my bed. I passed right back out and woke up at 1!:scared1: I ran in his room, all sorts of crazy thoughts in my head since I hadn't heard him make any noise, and he is PASSED OUT on his belly sucking his thumb and snoring. Phew.
I guess we're skipping nap time today... :rolleyes1

Hey dannysmom! I don't think I've "seen" you in awhile! Of course, I haven't eaten real food in 4 days, so I may not be thinking straight right now!

I need to check my stroller, too, but haven't had the energy to go to the garage today.

I'm always around reading, just not always posting. :confused3 we've been doing serial colds. We're hardly over one cough/cold/snotty nose thing and my older son is bringing the next one home from school! The joys of having babies and a 1st grader.

No kidding!!! DS#1's first year at preschool. He's to the point where the colds barely affect him, but the baby has been sick for the past 4 months. I'm still debating whether or not to keep him out of school until we leave.

What do you guys think? He goes Tuesday's and Thursday's and we leave a week from Friday. I think I'm more worried about ME getting sick for the long drive down.

I never worried about DS1 missing preschool, or even Kindergarten. Now that he's in 1st grade, they have definitely increased expectations. My days of pulling him out for Disney trips have ended I think.:guilty:

We can't really swing a trip this year anyway, but I'd realy like to! We even got the code for 30/35/40 % off & I don't think we can do it.:sad1:

It is impossible for us to pull our boys out of school for a WDW trip. They are only allowed 5 absences for the entire year! I need those days!

Wow! Due to H1N1 our local school district has allowed students to miss an extra 6 days this year with just a parents note. You could take an entire vacation off of that! :rotfl:

I don't mind pulling him out of preschool. Just wish we only had to pay for the weeks they are there:lmao:! That $40 could buy a lot of Dole Whips!;)

The whole school missing days thing is crazy for a 1st grader. Times have sure changed since we were kids. I want to be able to take Natalie out of school to go to Disney when she gets older. I don't want to to go in the summer, to hot for me.

We have to take advantage of the slower times now. When DH is done with school (future teacher), we are screwed!:rotfl:

That is where Tom and I are right now... I'm going for teaching, too. He would DIE in the summer. He'd do Disneyland in the summer but no way, no how could I get him to Disney World.

He said we could go for Christmas but I don't know that I'd like that either. Who knows!! :confused3

I told him we are for sure going in 2013. :rotfl: Maybe even do a cruise after, if we do it after August so both kiddos will be old enough for the kids stuff.
