The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

wow you had big twins. most of the twins i hear of are like 4 or 5 lbs!

Oh yes.. I had GIANT twins. and these poor gals had to hear me whine constantly about how miserable I was when I was pregnant!:lmao: Im amazed they didnt kick me off the thread!

My MIL was induced with twins in 87. They weighed over 6 lbs each. Inducing with twins is pretty much unheard of. They were 9 days late & the induction lasted over 24 hrs.

I was sort of induced.. I had one scheduled, but the hospital canceled it because I was only 36 weeks. I went to my dr. and she stretched my cervix and had me walk my booty off and I had them the next day! I must say, it was the easiest of all my births.

I look back and think...:confused3 What the heck was I complaining about?? It was no big deal! I tell my husband all the time I could do it again. He always looks at me like..:scared1: If you get pregnant with twins again, I am moving OUT!:lmao:

In my hubby's family baby #3 is ALWAYS baby #3 & 4! So getting pregnant for the 3rd time was very hard for me to do. Low & behold, we broke that tradtion with just a single birth!

I dont knwo if I could have done it with those odds! I cried for quit a while when I found out it was twins. But now it is wonderful! Sometimes.. Not to fond of the teething we are having right now!:lmao:

Oh trust me, it took my hubby TONS of convincing. And then everyone I know was getting pregnant or was having babies & I just caved & caught the fever. Have you tried Teething Tablets for teething? That is all I have ever or will use.

Well I have to bring Shelby back to the dr next month for a weight check up. In 3 months time she has only gained 3 oz. In 6 months time she has gained 1 lb. Crazy thing is, She eats like a piggy!

Welcome! Your little Shelby sounds like my Isabelle. She is only 6 months, but is TINY, and now has the doctor a bit concerned. She's 12lbs. 12oz, and
25 1/4" long. Height wise she's fine, but her weight is only in the 3rd percentile. She eats ALL the time, and LOOOOOVES her solid foods, but looking at her, and seeing how she acts at feeding time, you'd think we starve her.

Looks like Katie definitely had a virus, that has now moved on to dd10. I had just finished cleaning up from her first round , when she started it all over again. She is in the tub for the 3rd time tonight, and now I feel like it is heading my way.

Wow, that does sound like Shelby!!! We just have tiny baby girls!

Does anyone know if taking the minipill if you get a period? It looks like these packs don't have any sugar pills in them which to me means that I'm just taking a pill all the time and then won't have one...but I'm still not sure. The package insert didn't really say either...

Sorry-I don't have any experience with those.

I had one of the most miserable weekends I can ever remember. After I posted, I called dh (he and ds12 were at his brother's house watching football) to tell him that dd10 and I were both sick, and to come on home. He was on the way, but had to stop every few minutes because ds12 was vomiting, too! We were up all night, and I've washed so many loads of towels and sheets I don't even want to think about it. Dh is the only one ok right now. He went and got us some popsicles, Sprite, and soup, but no one has really been up to eating yet. I'm sore all over, because the vomiting was so violent. I hope dh dodged this bullet, because I'm so tired of cleaning up puke!

I was only on it a few months, though... so I can't say if that is normal or not.

I hope you all feel better soon! I would much rather have sick kids than the boys fighting & making me yell like crazy though. Wanna trade? lol

Oh, you said your kids liked that mesh feeder thing, right??

I gave it to Lucas with a bit of mushed up banana and he's chewing on the handle. Go figure.

I'm not sure how to help him figure out that there is food on the other side haha.

We gave Lily her mesh feeder yesterday and she did the same thing!

She is pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAYAYAYAY!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:
I just wanted to give you guys an update on my friends triplets... All three have been moved to the special care nursery..:cool1::cool1::cool1: Eli is 4lbs 3oz, Charlie is 4lbs 1oz, and Caleb is 3lbs 14 oz. They are already discussing them coming home. HOME!! They are expecting them to be home before their due date, which is March 10th. Considering they didnt expect these babies to make it at all.. Its just amazing how well they are doing.

You poor thing!! I hope you're all feeling better ASAP!

So we gave Lily her first "solid" yesterday. lol 1 tablespoon of rice cereal to 4 tblsp of bmilk. DH was like "THIS is what I've been bugging you that we need to give her?" lol I tapped it. She's like, why is this coming on a spoon? She made a mess and barely ate anything. DH finally admitted I was right for waiting as long as this.

So we're just going to skip the cereal and go straight to the squash I bought this weekend.

december- I hope you and your family is feeling much better today.

Today Natalie turned 7 months. We put her swing up on Friday and she loved it. It is nice to be able to sit on the front porch and play with the dogs and have her in the swing. This week we are going to be in the low 70's:worship:. Tuesday I think we may go to the zoo. Since she loves watching the dogs, I think she will like watching the other animals as well.

Oh- welcome Shelby's Mom:goodvibes
