The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Walgreens, next week, has Pampers Easy Ups and Baby Dry (irritating it's not just all of them!) for 2/$20 w/ $3 register rewards back.

I don't usually do Walgreens (the closest one is about a half hour) but I checked since I need to head up that way.

Again, not a great deal.. but it's been awhile since there has been anything great!!

This one is probably better, it's starting 1/24 @ Walgreens:

Get $5 RR WYB $25:
Goodnites Boy & Girl $8.99

So DH tells me that he heard that his district will be laying off teachers. He has no idea when, how many or who, just that they want to make class sizes bigger. There is only one Art teacher in the district with less seniority than him, so we're worried. Of course the Art classes already have much higher class size than the regular classes, which makes me think they would decrease the number of the other teachers first.

The worst part is having no idea when this might happen. He said it sounded like it would be soon, which I think is really weird. They have 2 weeks til the end of the grading period, I can't imagine how that would work. You'd think they'd do it in the summer?

So now I'm totally freaking out. The health insurance through the library is terrible and I don't make enough to completely support us. DH is talking about how he'd probably never find another teaching job.

So send us your good thoughts please!

That is scary. That is one reason I wanted my masters in counseling, and I'm getting certified in library, too. I want to be qualified for as many school positions as possible. Our football coach resigned as coach, but wants to keep teaching, which means that another coach means another teacher unit. If another teacher unit can't be added, someone has to go. And I was the last one hired........

Do you really think they would make cuts now, instead of end of the year?

Alex has been making this face...like he's got a foul taste in his mouth that also results in tons of drool production. :rotfl: The face is just too funny! It's like a sour milk/tart lemon face. I'm assuming it's teething...

Sarah - sending you good thoughts! I know how stressful that is! DH is a laid off teacher, looking for other work right now, but going to re-apply for teaching jobs for the next year. Hope you don't have to be in the same situation. :goodvibes

That's what DH says. I guess it's because of the new year--they are seeing how much money they don't have. A few other districts in the area have already announced cuts.

Oh no! I hope he doesnt lose his job. Sending good work vibes your way!:wizard:

Sarah, good luck to your DH with pending layoffs.

December, I feel so much better reading Katie does not have teeth yet either. I think Emma's are coming but nothing yet.

I try to lurk when possible but my time just seems to fly away lately.

Sarah, I hope that everything goes ok for your husband!

Adi, so sorry to read that you were ill. I'm glad that they found out the problem before it got any worse. I hope that your LO is taking back to nursing now.

We were playing on the floor last night and the baby pulled himself up to his hands and knees. My other DS was crawling around him making him laugh. He just crouched down there for a few minutes and then layed back down. Looks like it might be time to get the gate back out! :scared1: Man, that came up fast!

I noticed that my pinky finger was a little swollen last week. So I soaked it and didn't think much of it. Then over the weekend it was so swollen I couldn't even bend the top joint. I went to the dr yesterday and she prescribed an antibiotic. When I asked if it was safe to take while nursing she said it was lactation safe. But when I went to fill it, the pharmacist said not to take it. 3 hours of phone calls later, the office called me back and said that it was indeed safe to take. :headache: It used to be so easy to just take something!

Thanks everyone. DH says he doubts they will do anything until spring break, which isn't until Easter, so I'm going to try and just not think about it. I'll keep you'll updated if I hear anything.

Lily and I had a great morning. I think the growth spurt might be over. She slept over 5 hours straight the last 2 nights and isn't squirming like she's uncomfortable all the time. And I got her to sleep in the crib for her morning nap. It was wonderful. I was too afraid to make noise getting any housework done, so I read a book. ;)

I went shopping.

And my stinkin friend kept holding up adorable little girl clothes that made me want to cry.

Ugggggggggggggh! lol.

I can't decide which I want more! A set of boys, brothers who can play together and clothes I can recycle... or a little girl to take to eat in Cinderella's castle and watch The Little Mermaid with me. :lovestruc :rotfl:

I didn't even want to know what Lucas was but this time I can't wait to find out!!!!

I understand. I didn't care what Lily was at all, but for a second baby I'd really want a boy, so we'd have the set. :teeth:

Plus I hear sisters can be really competitive and difficult if they are too close. Not that you have to worry about that. And the thought of three women in one house when they are teens. ACK!

Of course, with my luck we'll end up with twin girls. Heh.

Good luck with that!! Twin girls, ohmy! Especially since you said you might TTC in about 5months, right? Are you going to wait and see what happens with your DHs job first?

My friend sent me a message today that she made an appointment with my OB. She said she doesn't want to talk treatments, though, because she is too young. I don't understand that. Infertility isn't exactly age specific is it? I would think she would want to talk about all of that and know her options but don't really feel like I have much room to offer an opinion.

I just *feel* like this is a girl. Which is awesome. I'm excited. And I can live with going shopping for little girl clothes. :rotfl:

Where is everyone?
I'm on my living room floor. :rotfl:

I had 5 days off work with Alex while the sitter went to Disney and ran the half marathon. She did it in 3 hours 3 minutes and 12 seconds. It was freezing rain when she was running...no way I would do that! I give her props though!

We also got his pictures taken on Monday. They are adorable! He's gonna hate me when he's older - she made him look like cupid! If anyone wants to see the pictures just PM me and I'll give the proof site.

I'm here, for a minute. I just got Katie down for a nap (she slept 45 min total at daycare today!) and need to go fix supper. I'm so tired-a new class started yesterday, and I'm still stressing over the Praxis Sat. I want it over with!

We got some new paperwork at daycare yesterday, which included this years holiday schedule. I was looking through it last night, and noticed that Good Friday wasn't listed, which was odd, then I get to CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY! They are closed April 26th!!!!!!!! WTH? What is this holiday, and why would they close for it! All the schools are in that day, so the teachers (and students) who have kids there are screwed, along with almost everyone else! I went in this morning and requested it as a personal day-I'm sure the other parents who have kids in my daycare will all be trying to take off as well, and I wanted to be on the list first. Everyone in my family works, except my 90 yr old grandmother, so I don't have anyone to keep her!

Where is everyone?
Taking advantage of the babies FINALLY sleeping to clean house a little.

With my second I REALLY wanted a girl! Then. once I had a girl.. All I wanted were more boys. :lmao: i think Mikalah just has a strong personality. I REALLY wanted the twins to both be boys. I didnt want anything to mess with Kaylee being our princess. princess: But when I found out I was having b/g twins.. I cried! Happy tears. Not sad ones!:lmao:

:lmao::lmao:

I have to admit.. I keep wondering if Patsy will have twins. I had twins because I had two pregnancies so close together.. AND she says she is feeling things sooner... HMMMMMM. ;)

WHAT?! TWINS?!

Why do you do that to me?! :rotfl:

I have convinced myself I am just feeling things sooner because this is a girl! :)

Did I ever mention that my grandmother was a twin? And I have cousins that are twins? Oh, crap. I better get that ultrasound next week!! :rotfl:

We'll definitely wait until Spring break. Probably start right after that. Assuming my monthly visitor comes back, she's still MIA...and I'm not stopping bfing just to get it back

My friend is going on Clomid, so fingers crossed!

Girl clothes are EVIL!! Especially since I hate pink, so anytime I see something purple, I MUST buy it. lol

Where is everyone?

Wondering how having 3 babies in 37 months can turn your brain into a big pile of mush. Class started yesterday and I am way in over my head. I don't even have enough brain cells to BS my way through this one.:lmao:

Anyone else feeling the "mommy mush" brain?:confused3

Sarah - Good luck with DH!
