OMG.. My babies are 7 months old today!! Holy cow. I cant even remember what it was like before they came! Maybe that is just lack of sleep. :lmao:

Wow! How time flies! Seems like just yesterday you were posting on here that you had them :cloud9:

As for the water, I was buying nursery water but it gets so expensive! So I bought a big pot & boil my own water, let it cool, then dispense it into the jugs I have left over from when I bought nursery water. I save a lot of money this way!

Lucas had his 4 month this morning.

He's 16 1/2 pounds, 26 1/2 inches long. 60th% for weight, 75th% for height and 80% for his head.

He did okay on the shots but I think they felt bad for me (I didn't realize he'd get MORE shots today!) and gave me a box of Tylenol. :rotfl:

He officially has the go ahead to start cereal but they asked that I hold off on anything else for awhile longer. They said the earlier you start the foods the more likely it is for allergies to develop because their systems can't quite handle it yet. So we'll wait at least another month I guess.
It's time for me to figure out where I stashed the high chair and assemble it...

I love going to the pediatrician, too. He gave me two of the quart size bottles of RTF and 4 $2 Similac coupons. We don't have a copay on wellchild/immunization visits so I was pretty excited. Geesh, I'm getting lame in life when something that simple excites me!! :rotfl:

Lucas played a bit of hide and seek with me earlier...

I set up diaper delivery to start on Thursday!! Im so excited. I had such plans for my third baby. I was going to use a midwife, have a natural delivery, breast feed, cloth diaper.. The whole nine. Then there was two instead of one.. all my plans went to heck. But at least there is one thing I can still do. :cool1:

Patsy, I LOVE the hide and seek pics of Lucas. He is such a cutey pie!!

Congrats to Lucas and Lilly on their excellent appointments! I can't wait to find out how much Zander weighs. He's got to be close to 16 lbs by now.

Ann, Zander has never been interested in the pacifier. He prefers his thumb. And if its any indication on whether he is going to be a lefty, he prefers the left thumb. It will be interesting to see.

As far as sleeping goes, I usually put him to bed in his pack n play (still haven't quite made the conversion to the crib in the room he will share with his sister) when he is on the verge of sleep after I have fed him-not quite deep sleep but just fallen asleep stage. He wakes a little when I lay him down but he is able to get himself back asleep.

We had a fun time at US/IOA this past weekend. Zander did really well considering he didn't get to do much! ;) But DH, DD and I all agree that we prefer Disney. US is definitely geared toward adults, although there are some things for kids to do but you just don't get that magical kid-like atmosphere that you do at Disney. One thing that irked me was the number of people smoking throughout the park and not in the designated areas. There were three adults smoking in the Barney area. I'm like"hello!!! Do you not see kids here and the absence of a designated smoking sign!" PITAs!!!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great weekend and hopefully sleep filled! :rotfl:

Patsy, cute pics of Lucas.

Mendy, aren't they getting so big so darn fast. 16lbs !!...I can't wait for Emma to go back again and get weighed. We all just love her chubby legs and giggle at every diaper change.

I got the kids Halloween costumes in...Luke is afraid of his! So I will be returning the dinosaur costume he picked out. He is at a funny age and is not thrilled about they idea of dressing up. I have a Mickey costume I bought when he was little and that now fits perfect. I am hoping he will let me put that on him. Emma is going to be the cutest flower. Her chubby cheeks look so cute in the flower hat.

Have a great day everyone.

Odd question, but has anyone noticed that Pampers seem to be a big bigger than Huggies?

Size 2 Huggies are getting pretty tight on Lucas. I had a package of size 2 Pampers open so I pulled one out and he has plenty of room in those. How weird is that? Maybe it has more to do with his shape, since Pampers are longer than Huggies (unless I'm crazy, but they look longer to me!)

Patsy, you are so right. I think it has to do with the design. Pampers have alot more stretch to them as well.

I have swaddlers and they seem to run bigger than the huggies that I have tried, especially in the front and back.

You girls mentioned hair loss since having your kids. I had it with Luke but had not had the problem since Emma was born. I noticed today in the shower my fingers were covered after I washed my hair. I am also getting dandruff and real dry scalp which I have never had. Not sure if this is just change of season thing or result of post partum hormones. Not looking forward to hair thining thing again, I hope it is short lived!

My vent for today.

I found a pair of DS's old denim overalls. I put them on Emma today with a pink turtleneck. She looks so darn cute, and the spitting image of her brother at that age...it is uncanny.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Pampers were bigger.

DH told me I was crazy and/or putting way too much thought into the inner workings of a "poo catcher"

I just ready Pete's blog on his day in Sydney for Adventures by Disney and realized that tomorrow my brother is leaving.
I knew this, and even just talked to the babysitter to work out logistics (so I can go to the airport with them to see him off) but it didn't hit me until I looked at those pictures and though "Just think Greg will be there.... TOMORROW?!" (well, Thursday by the time he lands but he's leaving the USA tomorrow)

It made me really sad. Teary. The next time he sees Lucas he'll be talking, walking... they've gotten pretty close these last few weeks.
Crazy. :(

that scares me...how huge really is cj :lmao:

He's been in pampers size 3's since he was 4 months! I just gave a bj's case to my cousin of 2's....I finally saw her and could get them out of my house!

The newborn Pampers Swaddlers seem tight on Alex around the legs, but when I go up to the 1's they seem really big. I have one box of Huggies 1's - maybe I'll open those instead since you guys are saying they seem smaller.

How many oz. are all the babies taking?

Jake is 4wks old today and takes about 4oz. At night I have tried giving him 4 but he never eats it all before going to sleep so I only offer 3oz now. Does this sound like a lot?

I worry about overfeeding. I know you probably can't but Jake doesn't wait 3-4 hrs between each feeding. Many times he wants to take formula every 2 hrs. Im afraid ill stretch his stomach and get him used to eating a lot, which might cause problems down the road. AHH-- the worries.

What kind of formula is everyone using? I have some checks that I get in the mail that i dont use. I use Enfamil :)

Hi girls. Things have been a bit crazy here. My parents were in over the weekend. We had a great visit with them. Natalie has started to wake up in the middle of the night for no reason. I just give her her binki and she falls back asleep. I don't get it. I think she is growing right now because she has also started waking up at 5 am to eat. She has not done that since she was 6 weeks old. She does fall back asleep until 8 am. Which is very nice.

Someone asked about binki's. Natalie LOVES hers. Has since day one.

Patsy- Lucas is getting soooo big and cute!!!

Glad to hear everyones little ones are doing well. I am starting to worry myself about this flu season. I don't want to take her anywhere!

Sarah-sorry that you have to go back so soon! But before you know it you'll be out for the holidays!

MinnieFan4ever-Its just hard getting woken up. At least she's not staying awake very long. I think Zander might be going through another growth spurt! :scared1:He went to bed at 9 after eating from one side and then woke up at 11:30 to eat, 2:30 to eat, 4:00 to eat and again at 6:30 to eat! Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep.

Maggie-When Zander takes formula, he still averages about 4 ozs. which is what he has been eating since early on. I also use Enfamil-speaking of which, if you need more checks or coupons let me know because I won't be able to use them all before they expire. How's the FREAPS fb group doing? I keep forgetting to check it when I am on fb!

Patsy-Sorry to hear that your brother leaves tomorrow. I know how much you will miss him. Are he and his girlfriend still together?

I think the Pampers Swaddlers fit better than the Huggies, but I do feel they are bigger. Zander has more leaks in the Huggies than he does the Swaddlers. But I think it depends on the shape of the baby. I also like that the Swaddlers are bigger in the back so when he has one of his blowouts and it goes up the back, there is more diaper there to catch it before it escapes! Oh and on that subject, I scored two jumbo bags of size 3 Pampers Baby Dry's at CVS on clearance for 9.00 each and I had a 1.00 off coupon. (I had more coupons but didn't realize they had expired! :headache:) So you might check your CVSs in case they have some on clearance as well.

Ann, I have been having more hair loss as well.
