Hi,

Glad to see everyone's babies are doing well.

Our LO is doing great. He had his 4m appointment this week and is 18 pounds 27.5 inches long. I couldn't believe it! He sat up for us this week. He was bent over quite a bit at the stomach and he laughed so hard at his brother he rolled right onto my lap and the boppy.

My first born is turning 2 soon. It feels like yesterday he was a little peanut. Now he's 30 pounds and likes to tell me "I do it" and "No help, thank you".

I'm still trying to find a baby bunting lion costume but haven't see any cute ones. Anyone have a good costume place?

Thanks. It has been a pretty good day. I still have work to do in my bedroom and closet, but the rest of the house is in good shape. Katie has plenty of 6-9 mos clothes, but after that I'll have to do some shopping. I went to a local outlet store today and got all 3 kids some winter stuff, and some summer stuff that was clearanced for the trip (I love having a trip to plan for!). I even bought myself a bathing suit, two sizes smaller than I'm currently wearing. Maybe that will motivate me if I keep it hung in the closet! It is a good brand, and usually runs around $80, and I got it for $12!

Not much to update on my end yet - his 1 month (plus one week) appointment is still 2 weeks away. BUT, DH gave Alex his first bottle today! We gave him 2 oz, and about 10 minutes later he was still rooting so I fed him for another 5 minutes and he was full. So I think next time we'll try 2.5 oz. and see if that's any better for him in his bottle. I'm petrified that we are going to overfeed him with a bottle...

Sounds like the best motivation out there if you ask me!!!

I put an old T-Shirt on earlier and realized that the last time I wore it was a few weeks before I had Lucas.... I wasn't real sure how to feel about that since it's not huge on me now or anything.

I did hang it up, so we'll see! Didn't stop me from having a bowl of ice cream though.

I'm still up waiting on dh to get home from the high school football game. It was over an hour away, and the weather isn't great, so I'm ready for him to get home. I cleaned out the living room closet after I got all 3 kids in the bed. I've been stashing Christmas presents there for several months now. I bought several gifts today, and have all of them organized, and my list marked off so I don't buy extra gifts for anyone (extended family/friends)! Then I got my Disney bag out, and went through all of it. I have a stash of sample sized stuff, some Disney clothes, etc. And I've been buying some "Tink" gifts along the way. I really need this vacation! I bought Katie and dd9 some shorts and Ts today, and Katie the cutest little swimsuit (for $3) that I packed away in a suitcase so I'll be able to find them when it comes time to pack for the trip!

Dollar Tree has some light up wands, swords, and Triton's wands?????. I bought several of those for the trip. They work just like glowsticks (I have a ton of those, too!).

Katie is doing her version of crawling this morning. I told the kids I think she was a soldier in a past life! She does the "army" crawl. She can't get her arms going, and just puts her face down and pushes with her legs. She can move pretty fast, though! Then she stretches up-pushes up with her arms and gets on her tip toes and sticks her butt up in the air! It is so cute.

She likes playing in her pack n play, now that it is lower. She still wouldn't sleep in it, though!

I do the same thing!!

I have a basket in the bathroom closet with little sample bars of soap, bottles of shampoo, etc.. When we go on vacation I get stuff out of it.
I have a ton of clothes for Lucas, too! 2 pairs of swim trunks that I got on sale somewhere or another this year. Soo much cheaper to have a base outfit ready to go when he gets to the next size.


I'm sure you're excited! You guys are going in March now, right?


We're having a lazy/clean/homework day. We were supposed to go out to the country, where DH is from, but his mom cancelled on us. For the third weekend in a row. He's REALLY irritated with her. He yelled at her even.
She did end up getting to see Lucas yesterday... her sister was in a bad car accident so we went to the ER briefly (we didn't want Lucas in there very long!) and she held him.
Kept making cracks about how much he looks like me and nothing like Tommy .... which I don't doubt had some underlying meaning to it. gr!

My kids look a lot more like very white, blonde-haired, green-eyed me than my dark haired, brown-eyed husband and my FIL likes to make 'jokes' about that on the rare occasion he bothers to see his grandkids. I have no idea why my genes have been dominant, I fully expected the kids to be dark like their Dad. But there's no reason to be ugly about it. It's not like I had any control over it. His favorite thing is to refer to our nieces by his last name since they favor him in looks and call my kids by my maiden name. The next time he does it, I really want to say "I wish! MY Dad loves them no matter who they look like." But I won't.

So now that CJ is on Alimentum now.... I have a TON of regular/Early Shield Similac that if someone wants I will mail out. I have 3 of the smaller cans you can buy in the store (like 13-15oz or something?) and 2 8oz cans.

(Sorry I was lazy Stacy and never got it out... but I'm glad he's doing better on Alimentum!)

My mil said something about that about Vinny when the twins were born. She was like... I just dont know WHO he looks like. Well... DUMB A$$ he looks just like his dad when he was a baby.. Seriously.. Identical to my husbands baby pictures. She said.. Well. I dont know who that is. Cow. I was about a week post pardum from have twins.. My hormones were ridiculous. Isnt that nutty? All my kids look just mike my husband. Very fair hair and skin. Im hispanic, so you would think they would have my coloring. Jasmine KINDA does.. But her eyes are still very light blue.

It looks like Alexis might have brown eyes like her Dad, but she is a lot more fair-skinned like me. Then again, one of my closest friends came here from Peru when she married DH's former roommate (that's how we became friends) and their oldest DD looks just like her blonde, blue-eyed dad. But it is funny how it all works out.

Although some of my kids do tan instead of burn like DH, and they don't look like they would. (I'm a little jealous of that one.)
