Hi gang

I posted above...

I need help..what room faces the MK and can see the fireworks. I need to give a room number in my rez. I honestly cannot remember. I did request woods view & otter pond, 5th flr. Is 6 flr smoking or non smoking?

Thanks alot for your answers..Ive scrolled but cannot find the room number.

We were at WL for the first time, over this past Memorial Day weekend & went to WCC for breakfast twice. We saw pony races, singing, twirling napkins, thrown straws & napkins, votes for whether a lady should have waffles or french toast ... so I can't say if it's different, but it sure was fun. I was able to prompt my dh to ask for ketchup:
[insert ketchup photo here]

And one of the times we were there, he celebrated his birthday and got treated to the worst rendition (hysterically funny) of happy birthday I've ever heard. He also got to hold some birthday cake. For a brief period of time:
[insert birthday photo here]

Oh, man -- I can't post photos, because I don't have the minimum number of phots. ARGH

I don't know whether the room directly below it on the 5th floor can see the fireworks, but it was recently posted that room 6026 (Woods View, otter pond) has a GREAT view of the fireworks.

Not sure about smoking on 6th floor...I don't think so, though.

We ate breakfast last Friday, 6/2/06. WCC was still as nuts as always. We saw all the antics. In fact, Hootin Nanny was going to take my husband's cell phone away because he was "working" on vacation!!

Also, that night for dinner WCC was so crazy that they were rocking down the resort. We heard the stomping and yelling all the way up on the 7th floor!!!! :thumbsup2

I don't doubt what Delswife and Zurgswife are saying (they are great resources), but I would still give WCC a try. :teeth:

Dreamer423, in your signature I noticed that you scheduled a hurricane for October 2006. I'd appreciate if you'd hold off until november! :rotfl2:

I've read way too many emails on this DIS (too many late hours) :disrocks:

I have two questions for the experts...

1. How is the waterslide for toddlers (3-5 yrs old)?
I have 2 girls, and an wondering if they can do this themselves?
Is it too fast for toddlers?, How deep is the water it dump into?

2. Any reviews on the Hoop-dee-doo Review?
I know this is a little off topic, but since its rather close, and I like the opinions of many of the experts on this thread, :worship: I thought I'd ask.

Welcome DADof2Princesses40...to answer your questions:

1. I think the water is about 5' at the bottom of the slide. When my daughter was 5 yrs old she did the slide and was fine. Since you can't ride together it may be a bit too fast for your 3 year old. And you're not allowed to stand directly in front of the slide to try and help catch her at the bottom. But I guess it really depends on how adventurous your little ones are and if they are good swimmers yet or not.

2. My family really enjoyed the Hoop-dee-doo Review the show is a bit corny but it's a lot of fun. The food was better than expected. The chicken and ribs were preety good.

All righty veterans...I've only been there once, but now the 2 nephews & 1 niece are clamoring to go.

So, here's my question...if we (DH & I) were travelling with my DH's bro & his son, what would your best recommendation be for accomodations? I don't mind sharing a room, but I don't see any rooms listed that have TWO queens & a bunk bed...or a fold-out sofa...or any kind of "suite" that would accomodate us. Am I missing something, or is my only option an adjoining room?

I can vouch for room 5026. We stayed in this room and had a great view of the fireworks.

If you take a look at page #1 of this topic there is information about the different types of rooms offered at the WL. There are deluxe rooms (junior suites) that sleep up to six. This is your only option in the main hotel. All the other rooms sleep 4. You could also opt for the Villas at WL and get a one, or two bedroom suite.

Okay here's the deal:

Since the WL didnot come out with AP rates we ended up and booked the BC for our entire stay.

We absolutely  everything about the WL and have never tried the BC.

Has anyone on this wonderful thread ever stayed at the BC. Was it a good change or did you wish you had stayed at the WL.

I am excited and nervous all at the same time.

:fish:

I hate to do this…..

I am looking for a quite room at WL we have reservations for two courtyard rooms for December. I have tried the search for info and read some or the 196 pages of post from this board, but to know avail.

If possible if someone has a favorite room or range of rooms in the category?

We would love to take a shot at putting it in our reservation. Thanks

If you want quiet Courtyard views..probably the only ones I would suggest are either those with a "Villa's" view..or request "Not above the pool area".

Last December I split our stay.. WL then BW...after we left the WL..all I did was wish I was there instead of BW. :confused3 But we have had many, many trips to the WL..and I think we are just so hooked on it at this point..it's an addiction :goodvibes

Thanks for the info..I requested room 5026 or 6026.

I found my pics and noticed I stayed in the room right next door..That room had a great view as well.. Its so cool to watch the castel change colors and to see the fireworks.

Keep your fingers crossed that I dont have to cancel my rez. It all depends on my job..Lots of crazy changes going on there..They started to outsource my department, so the handwriting is on the wall :sad2:

and if you still want the main courtyard view I would ask for a room towards the end of the hallways of the north or south wings of the hotel. I stayed in room 4010 which is near the end of the hall of the north wing, but it was a woodsview room. If you wanted courtyard view in this area it would be an odd numbered room like 4011. There is no elevator down at the end of the hallway so there is minimal foot traffic and pretty quite. Some people do use the stairs at the endo of the hall though since the end of the northwing is close to the boat dock.

:wave2:
Does anyone have a PICTURE of the rennovated bunk bed rooms??? Or maybe you have just returned from WL and have seen or stayed in a refurb. bunk bed room??????

We all would love to hear reports on what THESE new rooms look like and if you still seem to have more floor room with these rooms.

Thanks!!!! :cool1:

I hav stayed at WL and at BC.
I really loved the BC. The pool area was absolutely fantastic.
The one thing that I loved was being able to walk to EPCOT or MGM. That was probably the best part. As far as themeing, you really can't beat the WL. I am absolutley awe struck everytime I walk into that lobby.

I think you will really likethe BC. In my mind it's really worth trying the different resorts, you never know the BC could trn out to be your new favorite!
