Thanks, I was aware of the extra fee but just did not know if there were even BB's in that part of the building. We really want a Lobby facing room so I will be happy with a bed on the floor if that's what it takes to be close to the lobby, LOL. Our whole dates just became available this morning so I am on the phone now changing our split stay to ALL WL, YIPPEE!!!!!!!

Room 5091 - in the main lobby with bunk beds, its considered a woods view, I but I think they should call it "overlooking the alumimun portico room, making your balconcy so hot that you can't use it in July view".

The room was great - we had a sitting area just outside the door. LOVED LOVED being in the main building.

As for transportation, we rented a car and had AAA diamond parking, which was great, but I'm sure the bus service was perfectly fine too.

We used Valet parking last time and it was $10 a day. Is the AAA parking close? Any less expensive?

Thanks~!

AAA parking is only at the parks, and allowed us to walk to park entrance as opposed to using the tram. Never once did a parking attendant check to see our diamond parking card, and quite honestly, lots never seemed too full when we were there (8/14-22). Valet parking seemed like a nice 'perk', but we chose to save the 10 dollars and park ourselves and walk the 50 yards or so to our car. One thing I did notice about valet 'parkers'....those guys were RUNNING!! I give them a lot of credit. I realize they're working for tips, but I felt like yelling out "Go OJ, GO!!" as I saw them run by me on my way into and out of the lodge parking lot.

BTW, younger readers, please don't take my OJ reference the wrong way. Google "rental car commercial and OJ", and you'll see what I'm talking about! :lmao:

wich is why we chose WL. As it stands we had courtyard view bunk bed room. Anything i should request?? This is our FIRST time at the WL, and it will be DH, me , DD5 and DD2. We will have a car, staying for 2 weeks in Disney with AP's. Yes, a trip of a lifetime:love: . I was thinking of something overlooking the Pool, but I have NO IDEA!! Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

YAY!!! I hope we DO see you! I am in the process of getting my Mickey heads to attach to everything..lol. If you see us, PLEASE say hi!!

If you check on page 1 on my post we have collected helpful concierge information, we also have some of the food offerings listed.

Have a great trip

Beckie

Thanks Beckie.

If you don't mind my asking - do you know how to CL offering compare to the other resorts, especially the GF?

DH and I like to spend quiet evenings in the lounge, and I  great desserts (who doesn't?:goodvibes ) but I am not a fan of cookies or brownies. Is that the only desserts offered in the evenings?

Thanks again!!

I can't help with the comparison part, but Beckie's description on the first page regarding desserts is correct. We stay CL often. Desserts include:

brownies, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, magic bars, and either a berry cobbler or an apple crumble. It does get monotonous if you are there for a while. But one good thing, the brownies are more like small chocolate cakes than a brownie.

3 more weeks!!!! :cheer2: I am going to start my packing this weekend.....hopefully the next 20 days will go quickly.:cheer2:

There were a few diff. posters asking about the foods. There was fruit in Roaring Forks, Milk will fit 1/2 gallon in the fridge. We did buy from the mercantile because it was less to do this than buy individual ones at RF. Each kids meal comes with an individual one also or juice.

thanks for the answers on the parking thing guys. We did the Valet this last time because it was our first trip and we have a toddler and ALOT of stuff and to us it was worth them loading everything up and getting it to our room. They did loose DH flip flops though (they found them later). Then if there was ever anything we needed they did their "sprint" to the car. We never had to get into a hot car either.

Do you guys buy these or do you make them? Just plain didn't know.

Julie,

I found the lime green mickey's at Home Depot in the paint section. They are from the samples.

Now, Beckie made her own on the computer, and I thought it was amazing!! She even put her user name on it.

Maybe she can post a picture of it? Hi Beckie :wave2:
