I've just been to the 1st page of this thread and there's not really any information on the CL...other than it's on the 7th floor and views vary. Can someone (Beckie? ;) ) update that page with more detailed information like....check-in, Old Faithful Club hours with a brief description of possible food items and general info about what concierge has to offer? It's so time consuming :hourglass looking for individual threads about that one bit of information you remember seeing somewhere. I've tried the Search field and am CONSTANTLY getting an error page. My searches produce results only about 40% percent of the time. If there's somewhere here that has all this information in one spot PLEASE post a link. I would be grateful.

I don't know if this will help at all, but here is a page from allears.net: http://www.allearsnet.com/reviewpost/showproduct.php?product=36&sort=8&cat=31&page=1 :flower1:

Hi everyone ... just want to say that this thread has convinced me that we made the right choice for our upcoming WDW vacation. Our Grand Gathering of 8 - DDad, DMom, Me (DD), DSis, DBIL, DCousins (2), DAunt - can't wait for our first ever stay at WL (first time at any deluxe for that matter)! Previous stays have been at CBR (Dad, Mom, Sis and I when it opened) and ASMo (everyone but the aunt in 2003).

We arrive Aug. 13 for 10 nights (with Free Dining - which we're also very excited about). In 4 trips to Disney the only TS my immediate family has ever been to is LC and that was about 20 yrs ago! The rest of the group has never been to a TS - my aunt has never been to WDW!

We have courtyard view rooms and are crossing our fingers for bunkbeds in one of them so that DCousins (girl 14, boy 12) don't have to sleep together. Hopefully being a Grand Gathering will help us out a bit in this regard.

Hi Disneymath :wave2: , I'm going for the first time to the WL in November :yay: . Let us know what you think when you get back. WOW, 10 nights, you have plenty of time to soak up all that Wilderness atmosphere :ewok: (pretend that's a bear) . Enjoy

Hi there
I am checking in to on the 13th for 10 nights WL as well
we are staying Concierge, Ill have a lime green DIS button on my bag

Hi, I am new to the DIS. We had a reservation at the POFQ but after reading this thread I upgraded it to the WL last month. I am so excited! :Pinkbounc

I have a question on the Cub's Den. Not sure if we will use it or not, for ds (12) and dd(9). How do you make a reservation for this, and do you think would it be pretty booked up well ahead of time Christmas week?

I have to say that your post has the most information in it, regarding concierge club level, that I have seen so far. (I have seen it before and bookmarked it!) The description of arrival and check-in is great. The food items list is awesome. They should really add it to the 1st page. People who don't travel (like me and mine) really don't have a clue how concierge level works. I had no idea that concierge guests had a separate check-in counter and that they asked you at the GATE. All of this stuff is new to me. I'm sure others would appreciate a FULL description of a concierge stay. I feel like I have to learn about every little thing so I don't embarrass myself. For instance....what to tip concierge staff? What types of things do they NOT do for you?
:surfweb:

great post DLBDS

I agree concierge can be overwheling and whats included and what the IPO staff can and will do for you

I know the IPO staff has been so amazing for us and to say thanks we sent a gift tower from harry and david full of food, candy and snacks
with a thank you note. I dont think you can give them cash.
I had a question about mousekeeping on the club level do you tip twice once for the day and then again for turndown??

Great Idea for the Club Level Concierge information...if Lisa agrees I'll take her report and add it to the 1st page along with other information. The only problem is I have been so busy planning a trip next week to WDW, then the following week we have our Cruise on the Magic.

Jeanne
Maybe you could also do a report and I'll add that information to the first page, I know you have some great photo's of Old Faithful Club Room, and other areas on the 7th floor.

Kelly
Yes, ::yes:: the Mousekeepers that work in the evening are the ones that will do the turn-down in your room. So a smaller tip put out around 4:30pm would cover this service. On our last trip they arrived around 5:00pm to do the turn-down.

I just wanted to say Hi! We are checking in on the 14th for 6 nights Standard view. I don't care what my view out the balcony is, I just want to see the Lobby every morning. We also will have Alien Green Mickey Heads on our bags. If you see them, say Hi. Would love to meet some fellow DISers. My kids would get a kick out seeing Mommy know people in WDW.

There's no rush, Beckie. My trip isn't until February. It would be awesome though if there could be a section devoted to Club Level Concierge on the 1st page. It's greatly needed. BTW, why hasn't anyone requested this before?? :confused3 I guess most folks just search threads for the information they need or just ask. I go there all the time....especially regarding transportation. Finally, I just printed that stuff out so I wouldn't have to go there to see how to get from A to B. I'm sure there are still things about CL that I haven't discovered yet. I want to be able to get the most out of it that I can. (Although, I do plan to make my own ADRs. Just don't want to give control of that over to someone else. ;) ) Thanks for allowing this information to be added to the 1st page! :yay:

Don't feel bad. I know what you mean. There are so many things that I didn't know.

Lisa's post is amazing, I learned so much from her and from this Thread.

There is one thing that we must remember is that the CL Cast Members who are making your plans before you arrive are NOT the same CL Cast Members who work on the 7th floor.

Trish, Brandon, Lynne, Jeffrey are all at the IPO which is located at the Polynesian. I did not know this when I first arrived. Jeff (a CL CM) met me downstairs at the valet desk when we were checking in and I had said it was great to finally meet after we had been planning together for so long. He said he was not "that" Jeff. That Jeffrey worked at the IPO. Also, Trish used to work on the 7th floor, but I found out when we were there in June that she was promoted to the IPO office.

I asked how we can get "gifts and goodies" to the CM's who helped plan and they said that when have something for the IPO CM's (if we bring it to the 7th floor) to ask to have a "runner" bring it to them. I guess if we put their names on the package it would get to them also. (I'm still new at this, so bear with me.)

I have been bringing goodies for the CL Cast Members for the past few times and I never thought that the "planners" would not get any. Next time I will know. I will have to bring two boxes of goodies. :goodvibes

Most of you probably already knew this, but it was new to me so I thought I would post. I hope this helps.

Well we have a resident expert on Club Level Concierge, Fred/Majestic but he has been so busy over the last few months he has a new job, a new baby, and put together a very large DIS-Meet in Allentown for over 350 guest. (You can read about the DIS-Meet on All-Ears) I have only stay club level a few times so I'm in no way an expert. Now Jeanne another WL Vet has stayed a few more time then me. I know she has some great information to share.

Feel free Beckie..whatever items I post..if they help in any way at all..take whatever info you can out of them :) And in a few short weeks..I'll have 8 nights of CL to report on! :cheer2:

I found this when I got out my suitcases from last trip..to see if I had some things left over that I stowed away. Anyway..it's the info on the CL Lounge..it lists hours of the lounge and cast members, attire, children..etc..if it helps anyone..I'm glad I posted it :goodvibes I hope it's not blurry and it's large enough for you all to read. The outside cover is actually imprinted with your name on it
