Kelly & Kristy,
I'll be sure to put the alien green Mickey head were it can be seen on our pool gear. We will be the family of two redheads and two blondies.

Hi!! We won't be checking in til the 17th and we're staying until the 24th. I have a DS5 who'd love some pool mates!! Perhaps we'll run into each other - it would be neat to meet another DISer.

We'll be checking into the WLV on the 17th and leaving the 26th. We also have a DS5 and a DS2. We're sharing a 2 bedroom villa with some close friends who have a DD7 and a DS4. Looks like a lot of splashing going on.

I didn't see this question addressed after a quick scan of posts, so if it was asked, my sincere apologies.

When taking advantage of Magical Express, how many stops between MCO and WL? This is a first time using Disney transport from the airport (1st-offsite, 2nd-towncar). I would kind of like to prepare the kids and wife for about how long the trip will be.

DisneyMama2H&O, AlexWyattMommy, & Alicnwondrln (Kelly)

That'll be great if we do end up meeting!! Just one more thing to get excited over!! As if we need anything else at this point, why can't July just be over????

i am up for meeting people
lisa will also be there when we are there
i gave lisa my last name and we are both on the concierge level

It's really impossible to say. ME is a flexible thing -- each route is not set in stone. If there are people who need to go to POP (or any other "outer resort" they will stop there first and work their way into the inner "Magic Kingdom" resorts.

And we'll see you all at the pool. We'll be there August 10 - 20th!

Evan Is correct on this one, No route is the same, they do try and group the different Magic Kingdom Resorts, Epcot Resorts but you never know how many guest will be at the airport ready to go. Even your flight time effects the Magical Express.

I think that is the first time I have ever seen that ME was a flexible route. It sounds truly un-Disney-organized, but it makes since. Otherwise you would have to have buses sitting around waiting or on-call. Not economical.

Now, anyone know a great way to suck-up to the driver to get to be first? :love1: puckerup:

Hi everyone. This is a great thread!!! I love all of the information I have gotten since last summer. I'm looking forward to our visit to the lodge - courtyard view on 8/21-8/28 :cool1:

To answer the Magic Express question...when we went from MCO to WL in late September 2005, we only had one stop - Grand Floridian. I do think it varies based upon incoming flights and where the guests are staying.

Just curious ... have any of you ever used ME to arrive at WL late at night? Our flight doesn't get in until after 11PM. BTW, we'll be the group of overgrown kids in the pool between Aug 13-23 (well likely not the 13th) - but we're very well behaved! :goodvibes

My family will be there to Aug.18-25. I have a DS5 and a DS13. Where did you get your lime micky heads?

Last trip we got in quite late 11:15 or so. We picked up our luggage and went and checked into ME. Waited maybe 10 minutes for the bus to leave and we were dropped off at POFQ by shortly after midnight. Unfortunatly we got a rather dumb CM who knew zip and did not get to our rooms till nearly 1am!!

This trip we get in at 12:20 so we are just going to stay at a hotel near the airport and return to use ME the next morning, we are thinking we will have a better chance of a good room first thing in the morning instead of late at night.

There does not seem to be much of a wait late at night for ME, we had maybe 15 people on the bus, 6 were our group. We also found it easy to collect our luggage and it rode in the bus with us..

The lime green Mickey heads are found at Home Depot....Disney paint color display. Alien Green is the name of the color.

Prior to our 2003 trip we had stayed both on and off site and had great experiences. However, 2003 changed us. We had planned to stay offisite. Our flight then also got in late, and after a long drive we found out that our hotel was WAY SCARY! As we pulled up, the MEARS van driver, an older gentleman, gave us his card and said "if you don't want to stay here I can take you somewhere else, or if you decide to relocate in the morning, please call!" Turns out none of the hotel phones even worked! (Brochures can lie - even from well known chain places!) Anyway, early the next morning we found a pay phone, called Disney and were able to get into ASMo - which we loved! (Good thing, because prior to arriving at ASMo my DCousin, then 8, was ready to fly home by himself!) Moral of the story is we now stick with Disney - and with 8 of us, it seemed easiest to just stay at the WL the whole time even though the AS or POP would be cheaper for that first "not really there" night!

most of the refub is done
wow there are alot us there I hope I will get to see people
anyone have free time for a mini meet in the lobby one morning ??

ME-They do have a set route but I believe the late nite might depend on how many guest are waiting. My guess is during the day the routes are pretty well grouped by resort area. MK-EC-MK-AK/ALLSTARS

Alicn - what day/time would be good for the mini-meet? how old are your boys?
We're planning mornings at the parks and hoping for midday pool breaks, nights back to the parks. Our APs expire the day we move to the AKL. (We have park hoppers for our days at BCV)
