Hi everyone! I am happy to announce I just booked WL Courtyard View from Oct. 29th- Nov. 5th, 2006! It will be my parents, husband, our four kids and me. We have two rooms. I am not sure how to request a kind of room. Or which kind of room. Do I remember reading to fax it?

I'd like the rooms to be convenient the MK boats, but not horribly inconvenient to the buses. What are the different views?

Also, I am aware of asking to be flag family and Whispering Canyon with the kids (Artist Point while MomMom and PopPop watch them maybe?) Anything else that we shouldn't miss?

Thanks so much. I am SO happy to be here!

Congratulations!!! :cool1: You will love your Courtyard view :goodvibes The boat dock is at one end of the lodge..and the bus shelter at the other. Though, it isn't a long walk from the front of the lodge to the boat dock. If you want to be closer to boats, request a room as far down the wing as possible, you can take the wing elevator instead of the main elevator then. The walkway to the bus shelter is just down the hallway near the main elevators. Ask Flag Family AS SOON as you check in...it goes fast.

Thanks again, Lisa! What is the difference between the courtyard views? What exactly is the north wing view vs. the rest?

Oh! In addition to requesting over the phone, am I right that we should fax a request?

LisaB :)

The "north wing" views really only apply to the standard and woodsview rooms, when it comes to the coveted "seeing the MK and fireworks". The views from the North wing, opposite Courtyard (which are standard and woods)..give you a view of the MK and the night time fireworks (woods has a better view than standard of that). Your Courtyard is just that, your balcony is over the inner Courtyard area which is where the pool and walkways are located. You cannot see the MK from Courtyard. I love Courtyard

So really, it doesn't matter which courtyard rooms as far as view goes? I know we'd be looking at the pool etc. but do all have a good view of the lagoon?

Any difference between lower floors vs. higher?

thanks again!

Don't forget some Courtyard rooms over look the Villas and the quiet pool. If you want to overlook the main pool and the lake you must request "inner courtyard "

Those views overlooking the villas - is it still as pretty; maybe not as crowded?

Thanks.

Lisa

I have a friend going to the WL Labor Day week staying in a standard view room. Will the renovations be done by then? Can you give me some suggestions on what he should request? Thank you,

All renovations should be completed by the end of July. For standard I would request a view on the north side of the resort..that's towards MK..the other side is parking lot and the bus shelter :)

On our last trip we were in the south wing, we had rooms 4161 and 4163. They are at the end of the hallway closest to the beach. We had a great view of the pool, the lake and could see most of the fireworks (but not the castle). And these were connecting rooms. We requested the south wing, inner courtyard, a view of the lake, and to be on the highest floor possible.

Good Luck! You'll love the lodge no matter which room you're in.

Kelly,

Could you please share what the IPO has arranged for your 7 yr old? I have a DD7 and I am having difficulty coming up with a a surprise for her. We are staying CL in August, too!

Thanks in advance!

I'm not Kelly..but I did have a basket arranged for my DD's last year who were 9 and 12 at th time. I got a Mickey plush (karate Mickey..as they just received their Black belts..and had them put it inside a Christmas stocking. Along with some goodies like candy. (though my one DD had braces so they had to modify the candy at bit). If you call Disney Florist they can do many things..and there is also some place called "Peggy's sweets" I believe..that many other people use, though I myself, have not used her.

We have a Courtyard view starting Aug. 6. Do I need to request newly refurbished or will all Courtyards be done by then? TIA!!

Thanks Lisa and Kelly. I just sent my request to IPO and we shall see what Brandon comes up with. I am now 18 days out and getting into that "have I done everything/planned everything" crazy mood. I just can't wait to get there and decompress! Just walking into the lobby does it for me.

Where can I get a map of the WL with the room numbers? I found one but I can't read the numbers.

We are there the 4th through the 12th. We'll miss each other by one day! I wish we were doing 10 days but we get there at 9 a.m. on the 4th and our plane doesn't leave until 8:50 pm the day we leave. We'll certainly make the most of it!
