Glad to read all these great posts! Our first stay at WL (actually VWL) will be in May 07 and we are so excited! I've always wanted to stay at WL I love the theming.

I just booked WL for June 4-7. I booked a Woods view room (no bunk beds). The requests I put on the reservation were: 1. Non-smoking; 2. North wing; 3. 5th floor. I was hoping to get us a view of the MK through the trees, but is this too many requests or too narrow of a request? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It will be our first stay at the WL. We are staying there for 3 nights then switching to AKL savannah view for 3 nights after that.

Maybe change "North Wing" to "MK View".;)

Hi Everyone!

Getting so excited about our "first" stay at WL! The more research I do the more I love it!

We booked a courtyard bunk room. Does that mean we'll have a pool view? I thought so and asked the CM when booking and she said yes all courtyard rooms have a pool view but from reading parts of this thread it didn't seem so.

What are the possible views for a courtyard view?

Has anyone used the healthclub/spa for a massage?

I'll be booking one for my dh on his birthday and curious what you'all thought?

Sturdy Branches Messages are great!! My DH loves it there. He has also had a message at Saratoga Springs and he prefers the one at the Lodge.

Call 407-938-4222 a couple of weeks before you would like to visit and make an appointment. They do ask for a credit card to hold the appointment.

Good Luck!

Hi everyone! I've finally downloaded some of our WL photos from our Oct. 2006 trip. We stayed in room 5020, a woodsview room with bunk beds adjacent with my Mom and sister's room. It was our first time at the WL and we fell in love! We had towel animals everyday and got to be the Flag Family on our last day there. I hope that it's ok that I'm posting all these photos, but I'm very excited to show how beautiful the lodge is. We can't wait to go back! Until then, I'll have to keep myself occupied scrapbooking my vacation photos. ;)

Thank you for posting the pictures.

One month from today we will be stepping back into the Lodge, and I just can't wait! :woohoo:

It still seems like it is forever away, but your pictures made me realize that February 3rd will come sooner than I think.

The waiting is so hard!

Somebody tried to answer my question on another thread, but I'm feeling a little dense lately. Is there no way for us to book a standard room with 5 people? I would love to stay at WL, but can't afford a suite or deluxe room here.

Unless one of the people is 2 or younger, i'm guessing you are going to be out of luck.

She was wrong. Not all courtyard rooms have a pool view. I was there last month and had reserved a courtyard room FACING BayLake. I got room 3167 (on the tip of the South Wing). No view of the pool (had to lean way out just to see the geyser)....but had a GREAT view of the lake (and the parade each night).

Did someone say "Majestic" ???? :)

Hello lodgers! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you too Majestic! :goodvibes I hope you don't mind that I used your name to describe how breathtaking the lobby was to me. ;)

Here are some photos of our beautiful room!

My daughter was so excited to find a hidden Mickey engraved in the wood outside on our balcony!

I forgot to take a picture of our view outside our window. :headache: We had a true woodsview, no view of MK, overlooking a little pond that was covered with green algae. Was this the otter pond? I've seen pictures of the otter pond and it didn't look like this. It is such a pretty setting! We truly felt like we were in a lodge in the wilderness, not in Florida!

Those are great pictures!! Hard to believe I was just there a few weeks ago during Mousefest. Oh how I miss the lodge.....

Do you mind if I take some of your pictures and add them to our Wilderness Lodge Photo Gallery?

A question for WL vets....

I posted a pictures in my trip report of what looked like an unintentionally empty space in our room, on the "door" side of the TV, below a coat rack.

I wondered if anyone remembered a bench or some other piece of furniture being in that space. If anyone feels inspired to check their pictures...

I can give a try with this question- I also posted an answer on your trip report too. (Fun report with pics by the way!).

We've stayed at the Lodge both recently after the reno and before and that space is where the connecting door might be if a room has a connection.

We often use that space for the luggage rack (the folding one that is often in the closet upon arrival) to have easy access to a suitcase if we aren't able to unpack everything into the drawers or closet.

Maybe other have other uses for that space but that is how we use it. So no missing furniture, just space!

gabbyrosebud,

I just love, LOVE, LOVE your pictures of WL! Your pics in the lobby are some of the best I've seen. We were there in Aug/Sep2005 (prior to the room renovations) and your pictures make me miss it even more! My family may try to get back there this August. We never thought we would want to go back that soon, but we all had such a fantastic time. Again, thanks!

Thanks Jeanne! I will call for sure and book ahead! Thanks for the number too!

What kind of a treatment did he end up getting? Looks like several to choose from!
