Good morning everyone! Huggabaloo is correct. A couple of towns just north of Syracuse (about 15-20 miles) are under a state of emergency. They got 4.5 feet of snow in 33 hours. Last I heard, their season total was 182 inches.

I went to Ithaca College (in Ithaca, NY--about an hour from Syracuse, for those who don't know) for 2 years and I remember one of the seniors told me a story about when she visited campus as a high school student. She asked about the winter weather and an IC student assured her that it wasn't that bad, they got snow but never tons, etc. etc. Well, my friend attends IC for 4 years and snow gets dumped on campus every single year! She graduated in 1996 and said it snowed in early May, after the rest of the students left and just before her family arrived to see her graduate--they didn't believe her! I did, though.

Good morning Tagliarchy! . Seems I've lost my link to the color wheel. Please forgive!

My sis (ibouncetoo) went off to meet geffric this morning (SNIFF) I couldn't go because I have to work today. I hope they have fun!!!

I wanted to post my story about celebrity encounters, but am running late. I promise to, if anyone wants to hear. I have a good one with PATRICK SWAYZE. One with George Burns, Chuck Connors, Billy Joel (that's the second best one)... hmmm OH,
Wayne Newton (nice man). I think that's it. I have a tendancy to run into people at airports! But the Billy Joel, Wayne and Patrick ones were "real". One-on-one encounters! More later... everyone have a really awesome Saturday!!!

THANKS AGAIN TAG FAIRY.... you rock!:bounce:

Cheeringmom, where did you learn Deutche? I don't speak it very often. Only when I go shopping with my mom and we want to make fun of clothes or talk about how expensive they are. (Ach du leiber Gott in Himmel. Das ist serr toyer!) The other time is when I'm mad at my kids in public. (Through clenched teeth "Sets diche hin!!!!" (Again, I can't write in German.)

Ich sprechen ein bichen deutsch -ein kaufen deutch :)-and "Alles in VA ist sehr toyer -nicht billeg" and I don't write it either! We lived over there a few years and I learned just enough to get by. I took a few classes here and there. But if you don't use it ya lose it!! It has been 10 yrs now. My MIL was born and raised there and when she was living she used to make me and my dh practice. She would crack up at our lack of grammer. I told her it is the nouns and verbs that are important-not the way you use them!!!!

FPgurl04 It will be interesting to see how long you are grounded and the reason why you were grounded!!! Read some good books while away! My DS who is around your age (will be 14 in May) has been grounded from the computer, XBOX, any video gaming systems left in the house, and calling his friends for two weeks for lying and being deceitful about school grades. Guess you can call us mean, but we don't put up with lying in our house!

Good morning everyone! Hope the breakfast is nice for ibouncetoo and geffric!

You all have been quite chatty yesterday! We were out looking for some furniture that probably does not exist in Arizona yesterday. Now, it is up to DS's bedroom to continue painting and shoveling out the junk in his room while he is at his grandmas!!!!

Have a TAGLIARCHY DAY!!!!

this is for everyone who doesnt have a tag...

RRBB, are you sure that's the only reprimanding you get to do? Ohanafamily did mention getting in trouble for not feeding the hungry-hungry hamper.......... Anyway, I didn't start it, but I'll stop now, but you better make her stop pickin' on me. Talk about mean.
You're absolutely right on both counts llebrekniT. Ohanafamily does often get an earful about starving the Hungry-Hungry Hamper. As for Deadheadbelle, all I can say is BEHAVE YOURSELF. Besides, it appears that both of you need each other against the little
devil-smiley-054.gif
angels. So come on, give each other a big hug.

So, there we are positioned around the coffee table in the family room - me holding the Ella bug, Daniel, DHB and Josh. Out of the corner of my eye I caught Grif coming across the room at full speed and he tackled poor DHB AND Josh in one quick move. Only this was no football game and DHB had no helmet! He took down DHB and Josh and kept on goin'.
OMG, and his father did NOTHING??? I think I would have given the parent(s) a few choice words at that point - something along the lines of "Control your child now or forget getting together again." - and then packed up and gone home. (Of course I say that's what I'd do, but whether I'd actually follow through is another story.)

ohanafamily's taking me to the "Salad Bar" - Fudruckers - for lunch again. We were supposed to go with a cousin of mine too, but she made some other plans. She's in town for a few weeks from Orlando. She used to work at WDW, but we found out just the other day that she's no longer a cast member. (They really screwed her over.)

Sounds like you're a Star Magnet TiggersPal. I can't wait to hear about all your encounters and how they came about.

Hope y'all are having a nice breakfast ibouncetoo and geffric. Have something delicious for the rest of us, too.

Hey bloomie43, are you still colorless or did I miss your choice somewhere along the way?

Okay Bichon Barb and Cheeringmom, you're foreign language is almost as bad as the techie-speak we get from ohanafamily. It's making my head hurt trying to figure it out. :hyper:

Danauk, I hope you're not drooling too badly today. Have fun with your friend tonight.

Okay, now I must go get ready for lunch - my ride should be here shortly. ;)

Sighhhh. I'm so depressed. I watched a show on the Travel Channel about the Disney Cruise Line. I'm so jealous of those skinny tanned moms talking about dropping their rugrats off at child care and going for massages, snorkeling, and downing drinks with umbrellas in them. (Now I'm even more depressed 'cause I can't get the smilies to work!) Our big February vacation is two days and nights of skiing 2 hours west of Syracuse. Woo hoo! Big vacation! (I'm rolling my eyes.)

Meanwhile, it's now 2:20 in the p.m., and it's still snowing like hell. We were going to try to get a babysitter and go out tonight, but what fun is it when you have to wear long johns and Timberlands to a fine dining establishment. (I'm rolling my eyes again.)

Well, I'm going to go shovel AGAIN. Maybe the fresh air will do me some good. (It probably would help if I'd take a shower, fix my hair so that it wasn't sticking up in 50 directions, and get out of my sweats.)

Okay, I'm done now. Sighhhh. Thanks for listening. Not that it matters.

Your pal,
Eeyore

it sounds like <font color=darkorange>bichonbarb</font> needs some cheering up!!!!!!!!!! (even though i know eeyore doesnt like to be cheered up, its good for eeyore!)

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_113.gif' border=0></a>

well i searched for "cheer" at smiley central and came up with a cheese head, i dont know about you guys, but id say thats pretty funny:tongue: (alright work with me people!)

o yea...those cant be real moms on that boat, because (most) real moms arent that thin, and i mean you cant do everything w/o your kid! wouldnt you miss them too much? as for me id say to those moms to take their fancy drinks and massages and...

ok nevermind this cheering up thing isnt working very good

sorry <font color=darkorange>barb</font>

but if it helps living in the north comes with the full package, that means the snow too, and we all have to deal with it! ive been spreading ice melting stuff on my driveway all day, non sign of no ice:(

Bon Jour Mes Amies. Je Parle la Belle Langue de France, Mais je ne parle pas par 20 annees.

Actually I have a great story from my father (born and raised in Europe, and his "Mother Tongue" is in German. 20+ years ago we were abroad, and we went into a shoe store (in Germany). I don't sprekken German, but I understand a fair bit of it. My dad asked about a pair of alligator shoes. The Salesman went and got the shoes in his size, and as he was coming back he told another associate (something like) look at these stupid Americans, I am going to double the price and the idiots will pay, and I will sell them the second quality.... My dad looked at them, and said that they didn't fit right. As we were leaving he told me (in German loud enough to hear) that he liked the ones down the street for a lot less money and much better quality. It was a lesson I learned a long time ago about how stupid customers actually can be.....

bloomie43, I love your clapping...It almost looks like a wave effect..

TNCarole, I bought RRBB a Vacuum Cleaner that "We really Didn't Need (see getting fussed at discussion and failure to feed Hungry Hungry Hamper) She Passionately requested me to return it. I was told she would much rather me spend the money on a new Laptop. So that computer is named "Vacuum Cleaner".

RRBB, I am stuck at work for a few minutes...we are waiting for "The Princess's Parents" and I am waiting until they get here before I leave (they said that they would be here at 1:30, it is after that now) I know how badly you want your Salad...

:bounce:

Here I sit, with tummy grumbling, waiting for ohanafamily to pick me up and take me to the "Salad Bar." But that's okay, I'm watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Nephosaurus and Nieceosaurus. It's almost over so next is Cinderella. (Nieceosaurus already has her tiarra on and is anxiously awaiting...)

Depplyinluv, thanks for the cheering up. I had to ask my DH what the "Granite State" was. LOL. New Hampshire, right? You can relate with the cold weather, huh?

Ohanafamily, I took four years of French in school, and all I can remember is a line from a play we did (again, please excuse te spelling): "Pouve vous recommende an bonne hotel dans le centre de la ville? Mais certement monsierre. L'hotel de Paris..." My final two years of French I had a teacher who was from Italy. He had an accent. He had the nerve to tell me that I spoke Frenc with a German accent!

<Font color=darkorange>barb</font> yup, i sure do live in nh! we havent had a lot of snow , just freezingcold and ice!:(

ive taken french for 4 years! sounds like a lot of people know french.....

je parle francais un peu, mais je ne parle pas tres bien.

Il y a trop des verbes!

il a tres froid au'jourdui

alright enough of that....its probably not even right:D

i tried to translate what barb said; can you recommend a good hotel in the center of the city? certainly sir. the hotel of paris....dont think ive ever heard french with a german accent....

:wave2:

Great story ohanafamily. Sometimes people think that Americans are too lazy to learn another language. Similar situation happened to my friend. The German movers were in her house packing her things when one of them said "Look at all this American junk" and she replied back "Yes, it is MY American junk" He didn't speak a word the rest of the day.

Also,Bichon Barb
saw that same show. Where do those people get all the money? Esp for massages, facials etc. I'm sure Disney is charging at least 50% more for those services. Yeah, depressing. And btw, we are not going on a vacation this year.:( We are moving this summer and have no money. Anyone want to come to our pity party???

Okay Cheeringmom, I think I'm cheering up. I just remember that SU is playing at 7:00 p.m. I think we'll order sandwiches out.

BTW, it's now 4:15 in the p.m., and it's STILL snowing like hell. And although I did go out and do some shoveling, I still haven't showered, and now I'm sitting here in long johns and bare feet. (A sight to behold  )

For those of you from the south or who live in the desert, this is a lake effect band (I'm so queer--like you guys really care  )

Hey Kids! We'd better get the new house built, looks like we may be getting lots of company! MISS Dis-board Deity, the lovely and talented MeanLaureen has posted a TAG FAIRY 102 thread and suggested that people come here to offer thanks to the TAG FAIRYs when they receive tags. We're going to need some extra rooms and a bigger 'family' room for group gatherings and

storytime!

Nephosaurus order more WONKA BARS
206-AA_prod.jpg
We'll probably need a bigger fridge, and I say we get our own popcorn cart!

Any other suggestions for the new house?

P.S. Glad you are home safe and sound geffric, tomorrow, when we have more time we'll have to tell about the "Adventure"
