Has anyone booked this type of room? I searched this thread and also their website but cannot find the information if it is breakfast for your entire stay or just ONE breakfast included? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of staying at either Swan or Dolphin in June. I cannot decide which one to choose.

Thanks for your help!
Nicole

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. Still considering changing our ressies to the Swan... (I know it's a little late to change but :))

I have found a special rate for the dolphin hotel for $177 per night including tax for next December, would annual pass discounts typcially be lower than this?

I'm not sure I understand your question - since Swan & Dolphin aren't owned by Disney there are no Disney AP discounts available for rooms. Or - are you asking if the $177 rate you found was a good rate in comparison to what you'd pay with the AP rate at a deluxe WDW property?

$177 is a good rate for S/D. Not awesome, but good. I've seen as low as $149/nght, but lately it's been more towards $200. Last year I paid $210/nt in December, and I have a ressie on hold now for Feb. 2010 at $161/nt.

Can you post where you saw this info? I was just all over the spg site & didn't see that - and was using a AAA discount for booking.

You can get annual passholder discount for the Swan and Dolphin this is quoted from Mousesavers, and the rate I found was $177 inc tax and charges, originally its $149 before the extra charges.;)

"Annual Passholder Rates

The Swan and Dolphin usually offer substantial discounts to Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. These rates are not always offered and are frequently "blacked out" (unavailable) during peak periods, holidays, etc. You must show your Annual Pass at check-in.

You must book these rates directly through the hotel at (888) 828-8850. Ask for rate code AP."

Wow that's great news! I never knew that! Has anyone here ever been able to book that AP rate at S/D? $149 is the lowest I've seen for S/D in quite awhile. If you can get that - I'd grab it!

We booked that rate for this time next year....but its not an AP discount....maybe just a great discount for booking so early!:thumbsup2:banana:

I just read a post on another thread that says the pool complex closes down at 9pm. Is this right? even in summer?
Thanks:confused3

Does anyone know if conference rate park tickets can be purchased ahead of time from S/D? I know we purchased conference tickets at The Swan a few years back, through concierge, the day we got there for DH's conference. Just trying to see if they're available & the cost before I order from UT.

A walk around the property (a rather overcast day, not a lot of bright color, washed out sky, etc).............

Beautiful pictures Dan! Larry & I will have to checkout more of the resort this trip. Can you believe I've never really done that? We will have to make time to do it this year. The grounds are so lovely.

I had no idea there was a covered area of seats at the pool. That looks nice!

We are SO excited because we will be there a week from tomorrow!!!

Covered seating areas are awesome in the heat of the summer.

A few years ago, there were many people in the pool later on (11 or thereabouts), however no lifeguards. But they didn't kick you out either. I don't know if they enforce the hours more strictly now or not.

My preference was always for a room at the Swan - just because the hotel size itself was so much more easily navigated. We could walk out and go straight across & go to buffeteria for breakfast. I know we were closer in our Swan room than some of the far rooms at the Dolphin, LOL - we had one that was quite far from entry and it was a LONG haul. Just felt much more comfortable overall at the Swan but rooms themselves are nice at either location.

Geez I miss the S/D........................

We go in the summer and spend time in the pool way after 9pm and we have never been asked to leave.
Boy,seeing these pictures has really made me anxious for my trip!!!!pluto:
:tink:Thanks Dan!

Thank you Dan, for the info and the pics, we had a good nose around the dolphin last trip - a beautiful hotel and grounds.

Hello neighbor.

There is no parking lot for Fantasia Gardens that I am aware of. Parking would be at the Swan, as far as I know.
