:grouphug: Thanks everyone..it is kind of frustrating to not have answers for DD yet...had to race to Sarasota in November when she was rushed to ER...heart rate was at 180+ and still no idea why this happens to her. :confused3:sad2: THAT was so hard to be in Illinois with her so far away. The Dolphin will be there for us :goodvibes when we can best enjoy, and I am counting on you all to take care of the place on your visits, lol...you know we can all feel the :goodvibes when arriving! Tomorrow will hopefully get us closer to an answer, DD is pretty sure that her future includes riding coasters etc., so she is determined to get to the bottom of all this, as are we.
In the meantime, I guess we will live vicariously thru all of you...:wizard:

Lots of prayers and :goodvibes for your DD and your family! Im sure she'll be riding ToT and RnR in the future :thumbsup2

Does anyone know where you can get a list of companies/groups having conventions, which book blocks of rooms at the Swan/Dolphin ?

We go Easter weeks 2010 and I was told all the rooms are sold/blocked out at the Dolphin.

We have a resort view room booked for our dates - but I was wondering who else will be in the Dolphin resort when we stay in 2010.

What I found so far:
Phi Theta Kappa. April 8 - 10, 2010 Swan/Dolphin resorts

Spring 2010 IDN Summit & Expo - April 20-22, 2010 Swan/Dolphin resorts

SAS Global Users Sunday, April 22 thru Wednesday, April 25 - Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

NIA’s 55th Annual Convention - April 28–May 1, 2010 - Walt Disney World Swan Resort

The 2010 DiecastSpace.Com Collector Experience will arrive at the Swan and Dolphin Resort June 24-27 2010

I know the Irish Step Dancers will be at the Dollphin the 1st week of July!

Good wishes with prayers, Pam, that all goes well with your daughter. I know from experience the cardio stuff can be disconcerting.

S/D, nice to see you with this suit of clothes again.

Don't think I stopped back here since my return from the Swan....another extremely pleasant experience. All is well at the S/D.

Glad to hear you had a nice visit, Dan! Hope the weather was good for you! Merry Christmas! :hippie:

FinFan I hope your daughter's tests went well today. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you get answers quickly. I hope it is something minor that can be corrected very easily.

Thank you all for the anniversary wishes. Two weeks from right now we will be at the Swan! I can't wait.

your Anniversary will be awesome Chell, ENJOY NYE!...as far as the tests go...thyroid ruled out, waiting on resutls from yesterdays tests ( but I am very optimistic as I do not think they would have allwed us to leave if anything wicked was spotted) however, if the monitor does not give answers the nuclear imaging is next..and DD had 2 MRI's in August, so I am not crazy about more exposure so soon...:sad2: not sure what's after that,, the type of monitor she would wear for a month I believe, and send signals to the office when experiencing episodes..anyway, trying to throw Christmas together here so that is keeping my mind off of things at the moment. :rolleyes1

Thanks Dan...not exactly a "club" you and my DD really chose to be a part of eh?;) she is hanging in there...got her grades and those were awesome so that perked her up.No test reults yet today...keeping fingers crossed, and no news is good news...frustrating, but SO much better than being ushered into the little room with the kleenex box...been there, not fun.

Soooo....DH comes home last night & we were discussing the ressie I have on hold for BWV for the 1st week of March & he ever-so-casually says "oh yeah I think I have to be at The Dolphin sometime in February for a booth event." Think Linda Blair in The Exorcist...my head WHIPPED around! Excuse me, what did you just say?????? You're staying at my all-time favorite resort, so the room would be PAID FOR and you don't even think to tell me this the second you found out?!?!?!??!?!

Long story short, now I'm playing around to see what to do. He's not sure he's going (SAP CRM Insider Conference 2/23-26) so that throws a monkey wrench in my plans. He won't know for sure for another 4 weeks. Dolphin is showing sold out for those dates but there's availability at The Swan, so I might just book an "in-case" ressie, in case he ends up not going, then at least we still have a room. What is cancellation for S/D - 1 week prior or 24 hours? I remember it being a 1-nt deposit down on a CC. I can book air for the kiddoes & myself (his would be paid for by work) - but then what if he's not going & then I can't get him a flight? Stress! (Oh what terrible stress to have LOL!)

Hang in there FinFan - DS12 has Mitral Valve Prolapse - nothing nearly as serious as what it sounds like you're going through, but there's always alarm in the back of my mind - and he wants to try TOT this next trip!

Thank you! I just hope I don't freak out with the crowds. I have anxiety issues in crowds. But I'm trying to overcome them.

Still praying for you & your daughter, your whole family too. I agree that if it was serious they wouldn't have let you leave. Does she take any meds? Hopefully it is something as simple as an odd reaction to a medicine or even a food. I just want it to be something very easy to correct for you all.

If you can't get your husband a last minute flight then he will just have to stay home. He has to learn a lesson for not telling you sooner, right? ;)

Good wishes for your anniversary, Michelle. Hard to believe a year has gone by already. My best.

I have found a special rate for the dolphin hotel for $177 per night including tax for next December, would annual pass discounts typcially be lower than this?

A question for the experts, is there any advantage to having my AAA or AARP membership status added to my SPG account? If so, would I call the Starwood customer support and add it to account or do I just add it each time we reserve a room?

Many thanks,

It really does not. AAA and AARP only give you the option of comparing best rates. I have AAA and AARP and still find the spg teacher/nurse/government rate the best.

Just checked out of the Swan for part II of our trip. Check in was at 11:00 and the room was ready. Excellent service as always.

Has anyone booked this type of room? I searched this thread and also their website but cannot find the information if it is breakfast for your entire stay or just ONE breakfast included? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of staying at either Swan or Dolphin in June. I cannot decide which one to choose.

Thanks for your help!
Nicole

The excitement of our trip being so close has overcome me and it is all I can think of now. Good thing there aren't too many work days left until the trip.

At the WDW owned resorts they can print out your dining reservations. Can you do this at the Swan too? I know they have the Disney Info desk, but I'm not sure what all they can do.

Thank you in advance for your help!
