We leave for the Poly in a few hours from Phoenix. Thanks to everyone here for sharing such great info.

It looks like were going to have a mix of weather. Any special rainy day strategies?

HIT THE PARKS!!!

The rain keeps some people away!!! Grab a poncho and have a great time. Epcot is especially good in a monsoon, since so many of the rides and attractions are indoors.

Oh, and if you have a chamois in your car, grab it and throw it in; it's great for drying off wet ride seats. If not, a washcloth will do.

Enjoy your trip... we're all dying of jealosy!!

We usually just keep going if it rains. But if the forecast says scattered showers or something like that, there's a good chance you won't see any rain at all.

Have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

Seems as though the Polynesian bus stop is often near the TTC bus stop at the parks (def. at DHS)... we just wait and see which bus comes first and take it :thumbsup2 The walk back to our room is pleasant, even when we're tired.

Good grief...., I never knew, or thought about this. I cannot believe this passed under our efficiency radar. As Disney commandos, looks like back to the war room as our strategic plan has another option!

I'm right there with you... it simply never occurred to me!!

I LOVE the DISboards. I cannot believe how much I've learned here!!

I made some Mousekeeping envelopes for our trip and I plan on putting $5.00 a day in them. Is that enough? I printed them off Mouse for less.com with Lilo and Stitch. I am going to have our daughter take Disney Stickers and close them up in the back.:thumbsup2

I was hoping it would work that way! We're not used to waiting for busses, but we plan to use them on this trip. At least we'll have 2 chances of getting a bus instead of just one!:)

Personally, I think it's enough. We don't leave our room messy. Some people will say it's too much, some not enough. There are always debates on whether or not to tip at all. I think $5 is a pretty good tip.:) We printed out some of those envelope designs, too -- they are so cute!

This is your choice. Tipping for mousekeeping is not expected.

I know it is not. But I feel think they work just as hard as we do and they have to work where people are on vacation. Which at times have to put you down. I would rather work at a park then a resort. I work at a theme park as a character and loved my job. I would like to make there days alittle brighter. :lovestruc

Hi everyone!

These pics are from our wonderful LVC stay last year. We did a Poly LVC (3 days) and then GF RPC (6 days) split. It was magical :lovestruc to say the least. Now I am spoiled for anything else!

We had requested 3rd floor because we wanted a full balcony and I dislike first floor rooms. We were assigned room 2507 after we were told no 3rd floor rooms were available and I felt kind of disappointed. But since we were only going to be there for 3 days, I figured it would be fine. As soon as we stepped into the room, and saw the lovely view :cloud9: , it was fine. I slept each night with the drapes open so I could see MY castle changing colors!!!

Being on the same floor as the lounge was a huge plus. Chef Dick was there and I got to see his fruit and veggie creations up close. The food selections in the lounge were very good. At Breakfast I loved the cinnamon rolls and the pineapple bread....Yum! In the afternoon they put out delicious chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, and popcorn. Evening selections were also good, some of my favs were the turkey skewers with the peanut sauce and the jasmine rice w/ coconut curry sauce. And I can't forget the fresh pineapple w/ caramel sauce! Desserts and cordials were okay too, but I much prefer the desserts over at the GF RPC.

It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it. And a big thanks to all of the people on this board for the the info and good wishes you provided prior to my trip. Any questions just ask!

I hadn't thought of it either until last summer when we were waiting at DHS for the Poly bus and TTC bus pulled up :thumbsup2 But now that I think of it, BCV23 and others have been alluding to it for years :rotfl: At least I finally caught on!

DeborahB ~ thanks for sharing your pics. We did a LVCL/RPC split last summer, along w/ AKL CL. I agree that it is :cloud9:

Hi, johnsonet!:surfweb:

Isn't the Polynesian simply the best for transportation options?:goodvibes

DeborahB, thanks for posting your beautiful pictures.:3dglasses

I can't wait to try transportation. Since this is our first time I look forward not having to take a bus everywhere!:cool1: I really love the pictures. I keep getting more and more excited with everything I keep seeing. I know we want be let down. Thank you everyone for all the info.:grouphug:

I haven't made it all the way through this thread, but am thrilled to have found it.

My DS and I will be staying at the Poly for the first time, 5/31 - 6/7. He has absolutely no idea we are staying there (he thinks we're staying at CBR) -- I can't wait to see his face when we arrive! He loves Dole Whips - so he'll be thrilled with CC's! We love Kona as well and already have a couple of meals planned there.

Looking forward to reading more of this thread and to hopefully find some longhouse suggestions.

Subscribing. :)

My family will be heading to Poly May 29-June 13... celebrating 3 kid's birthdays, and our anniversary - all actually ON the days that they are! ;)

Dh and I had a wonderful triple-split stay last November (Pop, Poly, and AKL)... we were originally booked for BC this coming trip - but we fell in love with Poly and changed our ressies up the DAY we arrived at Poly!

5/30, 6/5, 6/6, and 6/12. :woohoo:
