I have 3 GV rooms reserved for an upcoming GG in December for 10 people. I am 1/2 tempted to upgrade to Club Level - is this even an option if one of the rooms will need to be Handicap accessible?

Thanks in advance

There are at least two accessible gardenview rooms in club level. One has a rollin shower. We've had that room. Not sure if the other is rollin shower or tub with grab bars.

Happy planning!:surfweb:

Very cool. What a testament to the Polynesian.:goodvibes

We have 30+ stays too but we're newbies compared to you... our first stay was in 1983. We were hooked. We've never had a bad view or vacation at the Polynesian either. :beach:
wow those are both good reviews!! Now i really feel good on my decision

And as with many situations, it is all in the eye of the beholder ;) If you are looking for good, the little things slide right by virtually unnoticed. If you are looking for a problem, they seem to crawl out of the woodwork. The Poly is lovely, I'm sure you'll have a great visit!:thumbsup2
Very true!!! It takes a lot to upset me so I doubt i'll notice the small things i'm just going to enjoy my vacation !!!

Where did your little one sleep, couch daybed with a toddler rail or did you get a toddler bed?

At three our children all did fine in either one of the queen beds or the daybed. No rails. :goodvibes

Wow is it really that far? :scared1: I won't mention that part to my DH. :rotfl: He loves going to DTD!
I am guessing that's how long it takes because of the extra stops the bus makes and it goes the longer way because it arrives on the Marketplace side, because whenever my family and I drive there we go in past Typhoon Lagoon and West Side before parking at Marketplace and I would say that's the faster route.

When our DD was 3 we put her in the daybed. We had requested bed rails and they were already put in and the bed was already made up when we checked in the first night. It worked really well, and she just loved sleeping on there!:)

The buses from the Magic Kingdom Resorts to Downtown Disney and back seems to take the longest, which is my family and I always have a car when going there.

Yes, I agree! When we were staying at the Poly in Sept. the buses stopped at one of the water parks as well, on the way to Downtown Disney..it was a looong bus ride. We only took a cab once though..when we dined at Boma. It was worth it!

We've never rented a car while at WDW. But we took our first ever taxi ride in the area last night ... Poly to DTD Marketplace, the meter read something like $19.30 or $19.70.

Well--I've stayed at Poly 30+ times since 1973. I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad view(and I've been in every longhouse) or a bad experience, period.
That is STRONG :thumbsup2

Hi BCV23 :wave2: 30+ stays at the Poly :dance3: No WONDER you can always answer my questions!! :worship:

Amen to that! ;)

I was able to use the Buy 4, Get 3 Free a Poly for July!!

Well really it's going to be "get 2 free" for me! I would extend it to get 3 free but we are getting married the day before we check in and going on the cruise the day we check out so I had to settle for 2 nights free!!

I originally wasn't going to take advantage of this deal because we are staying 6 nights, not 7 and we have APs so we really don't need a package. But my TA e-mailed me this morning and it works out to save me $277 over my AAA rate, plus, now I'll have 1-day base tickets to put towards a future trip! I'm so excited!!! My total is $1759.62 for 6 nights at Poly plus 1-day base tickets package!

That is certainly the longer route and also has all those stoplights. It's really a shame that the bus to DTD takes that route. I had no idea.:sad2:

Yikes! :scared1: Did your cabbie take the back route or BVDrive?

Are you enjoying the Polynesian?:cool1:

Congratulation on a great deal. What a wonderful place to honeymoon!:beach:
Changed from AAA room only to 4/3....Saved $$$$:cool1:

Very cool indeed! Congratulations to you too!:dance3:

:scared1: I was told around $12. Yikes -- I'll have to rethink things...:sad2:

I really like the pool and tropical theme at the Poly but I am conflicted about changing my reservation to Poly because it seems that I have read numerous times that the walls in the guest room are very thin. Can you really hear the people next to you and in the hall?

I dont know for sure about the Poly, but I have read those comments about almost every hotel at WDW. It may have more to do with who is next to you than the walls of the hotel. ;)

I agree.:thumbsup2

We've never had a problem. You can occasionally hear children being loud in the halls but it's never been a continuing thing and most trips has been a complete non issue. I suppose if you had a connecting room with a very loud family, there could be some noise through the door. That happened to us at the GF. Just put a suitcase or towel by the door to absorb the noise.

Due to the manner in which the rooms were constructed at the Polynesian and CR, I would think the rooms at those two resorts would be the quietest in all of WDW.

I was able to book the Poly for July with the 4/3 deal. So, we are finally going to get to stay there! Now, I just have to decide if I want to make any requests on longhouses. I am not worried about the view since we booked standard, just the distance to the GCH vs the larger rooms and closer proximity to the TTC.

I bet you will be very happy with your garden view. Every one we've had has been beautiful.

And welcome to the Polynesian thread!:grouphug:
