does anyone know if you can by kid sized snorkle and mask at the Poly gift shop...

You can buy plastic sand pails and stuff.... right? :confused3

I do enjoy staying at WL. It's my father's favorite, so we go there whenever we are vactioning with my dad and mom. Now, I love the Polynesian and it is my first love, don't get me wrong, but if it's raining and you are stuck at the hotel, WL is my number one choice. So many neat places to explore and you don't have to go outside. Also, I have always felt more comfortable just hanging out in the lobby. It's big enough and noisy enough to create a "little privacy in a crowded room".

JMHO.
Thanks for weighing in, Carrie772! I'm going to get all the "firm" numbers tomorrow or the next day and see how things look. :)

Plastic sand pails and buckets and plastic molds for use in the sand...definitely yes. The snorkel and mask I believe I've seen those there but I'm not 100% sure.

You could always call the Polynesian resort directly and ask to be connected to BouTiki to ask them. Just a suggestion.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Before you know it your day will arrive. Besides isn't planning a trip to WDW just half the fun?

Thats the truth!!!!! I have been planning for about 4 months now and it started out being a 5 day trip and I just kept finding more things to do so as of now it is an 8 night trip....Well I guess we will see how many more days I can add on to it in the next year:rotfl:

More days just means more fun at WDW.

Hi everyone!
My husband and I are staying at the Poly for our 5th anniversary at the end of September/beginning of October. We have booked a Garden View room to try and keep costs down despite staying at a deluxe resort to be by the monorail. Could anyone recommend a building to request that would be a bit secluded or are all the rooms pretty good rooms?

Even though it's the longest walk to the Great Ceremonial House which is about 5 minutes maybe you should request the Tahiti Longhouse, because I thought it was the most secluded based on it's location.

I just got off the phone with the resort.

The lady said that they carry goggles but NO mask/snorkle set at all...

She thought maybe the water parks would have them... but was not sure.

She did say that they carried POOL toys... although I did not ask her to eleborate on that.

so... that's that:goodvibes

Has anyone heard of this? Apparently the list of all the activities and times that SeaSpray listed at the begining of this post are no longer acurate... does anyone have any new info?

I called the POLY and the lady seemed overwhelmed at the time and started to read the whole list... day by day... besides the arts and crafts (which are later in the day now) i didn't recgonize anything she was mentioning...

But the campfire sounded cool....

anyone? anyone?

Yes! We just returned last night. There was definitely a campfire on the beach in the evening. Smores available for purchase. They newsletter they gave us at check-in said "come sing your heart out" - or something like that. We didnt make it. Were always in the parks. I think i brought the schedule home. Want me to dig it out? Still haven't unpacked.

Last time we went, in 2/07, we couldn't get into the Poly, so we went with WL. We had a GREAT trip, loved WL, newly renovated rooms that were beautiful, great mousekeeping service, sitting and relazing in those wonderful fireplace areas, eating at AP and WCC, taking the boat to MK. It was a terrific trip, couldn't have asked for more. That said, as we rode ME back to the airport, the bus stopped at Poly to pick up other departing guests, we took one look at the walkway leading into the GCH, looked at each other and simultaneously said "I wish we could have stayed at the Poly!" And we will be, in 46 (LONG) days

They have a Finding Nemo beach ball, Finding Nemo tube, Finding Nemo water wings, diving sticks, goggles, and squirt guns. I saw those things for sure last week. :)

My husband and I will also be celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Poly at the end of September/beginning of October! But we have an additional 30 years on you. :goodvibes I would suggest either Tahiti or Tokelau.

Bluewater - I know it is a lot to ask, but I sure would LOVE:love: it if you could dig it out and let me know what to expect.

I am such a planner, that I like to know as much before I get there!
