STARZ723,

You mentioned rooms 5034 and 5032. I have two woods view rooms reserved for June. Do you remember if these rooms were connected with the door in between? I would like this great view, but also prefer connecting rooms.

Thanks!!

Hi,
I just read a thread that said the WL no longer accepts faxed room requests. Is this true? If so, what all information should I tell the CM for my 2 woods view rooms? Can I say "Non-smoking, 5th floor with castle view" or can I request a specific room? I faxed a request last year and got the location I wanted. Did this just start not accepting faxed requests?

Also, are there any woods view rooms that can see Bay Lake?

Thanks!!!

I've just booked under the 7 for 4 promotion and all that I could get for our time in Sept at the WL was a standard room. We got a great deal so not really concerned at all about it. We have stayed there before and had a woods view room and we loved it. We plan to really only be in the room at night but is there any type of room request I can put on our reservation to get the best standard room available? and are all standard rooms really only on the 4th, 5th or 6th floors?

hbridges-It has been just recently that the WL stopped accepting room request faxes.
When you made your reservations let them know what your requests are (which tower, what floors, bed size, smoking preference) I am not sure if you can request a specific room.

If you want a Woods view room that overlooks Bay Lake, then you would want the North Wing. There will be some trees in the way, but you will see the lake as well. For a clear view of the lake you would want a courtyard view in the South wing.

luveeyore2-I am not sure what floors standard room are on. We had booked a standard room for our August 2003 trip. I asked for a room in one of the wings rather than the main building to try and avoid the service area. Luckily, when we checked in we got a free upgrade to a courtyard view since the resort wasnt that full. Maybe you will be as lucky since you ae going in September. I would take any room at WL just as long as I was at WL!!

....ARE we doin' on page TWO???!?!?!?!?

(Prayers:rolleyes: and PD:wizard: go out to Roy>>>>>>>>>>)

They have stopped accepting fax requests about 2 months ago! The reason...they were receiving 100+ requests a day, and it was becoming a problem! Be sure to call CRO and make your requests on your ressie! You should request Non-Smoking North Wing or Non-Smoking North Wing Preferably floor 5!

We are going in June to WL. I am so EXCITED!! We have a standard room. Should I request in a certain wing or something? Your wl vet posts are wonderful! I am learning lots and continue to make plans and dreams. Will it be as wonderful as it sounds?? My two girls (7 & 5) and husband and I need your help to be sure our trip is the best it can be (on a budget).
Thanks y'al!

You have made a wonderful choice in choosing WL! From the moment you enter that lobby...WL will take your breath away! My 2 older DDs refer to the lodge as Pocahontas' house! Even after trying other onsites, we always come home to WL!

Hi everyone again! Haven't been on this thread for a while.

I have a quick question. We've stayed at WL twice, once our view was the VWL and the other time was the otter pond facing MK. (where we saw the fireworks).

In May we'll be at a woods view again, is there another "view" we should see? The MK view was good, we couldn't really see it all that clear, but it was ok.

Oh, we would need a smoking room, so are there other "woods views"? I know WL doesn't take requests anymore, but I figured we could just let CRO know. Any suggestions? THANKS!:teeth:

Just wanted to chime in.
Will be at WL for the first time with a grand gatherings. We have 3 rooms reserved. Asked for NS, woodsview, 5th floor, with rooms close together. Doesn't really matter what view we have(MK or woods), everyone is excited to stay at WL! We will 3 kids ages 17,10,15 plus the adult kids. I was really looking forward to the family plan length of stay for the boats, but I read that it was discontinued:( . Do you think that they might reinstate this for the summer? It would be right up the kids alley to be able to hope on the boats for a quick trip on the lake in the afternoons.::yes:: Does anyone know about this or will I just have to keep my fingers crossed?

We are looking forward to catching the WL fever!!

A really cool view is Courtyard Main Pool. Lots of activity plus you get to see the waterfall AND the electric water pagent at night. Great view of Bay Lake too. You can see all of the boats coming and going.

Word of warning though, keep your blinds closed as I saw someone using binoculars going from balcony to balcony. Wonder what they were looking for. :)

Oh, those types are everywhere....esp at WDW!;)

Looking forward to staying at the Yosemite Suite in June.
Besides a courtyard view, will we be able to view any types of fireworks?
And is the suite close to lounge or what vicinity of the building is it located, besides on the 7th floor?

Thanks!

Great graphic you got there. ::yes::

I hate to say it but you won't be able to see any fireworks from the balcony and to be honest, the suites are a pretty good distance from the concierge area. They are at the far end of the main towers (Yosemite/VP Suite is in the North Tower and Yellowstone/P is in the South Tower) but they DO have easy access to the elevators that are midway through the hotel.

Wish I had a map to show you but I don't. :(

Don't worry, the 32 or 36 inch Sony TV, VCR, and stereo plus jacuzzi tub and balcony will help make up for it. :)

Thanks Fred!

Access to elevators works for us!
Besides, DS is the official "CL Ice, drink, and food " boy!
We'll send him down to the lounge for stuff!
He gets paid well to do it! :)

Is this elevator the one that goes down by the pool, laundry room area?

:sunny:

Hrmm...the Yosemite elevator comes right out around the corner from Roaring Forks. Not sure where the laundry is. We wouldn't dare do anything like THAT on vacation. :)

We are VERY much alike in that we buy whatever we need on vacation. Who cares. You do what you can to remember to bring stuff down....if you forget you pay for it and continue to enjoy your vacation.

Enjoy you trip. Take lots of pictures ok? :)

I have a question...

I have already requested a lot on my reservation. I would hate to request more and be that "annoying" guest and not get any of my requests. Should I wait until I arrive to request a frig and coffee pot? Do they typically run out of these?

By the way the information in this thread is FANTASTIC....

Yes, the Yosemite end elavator is close to the laundry area:rolleyes: Unfortunately for us, unlike Majestic and his crew.....we got familiar with the laundry area:p

Have a great trip

Best floor for fireworks?

So 7th is concierge, 6th is smoking....that leaves 5th as the highest for MK viewing, North wing-correct?
