The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

I checked mine after reading that everyone's were showing up online and all of mine are there as well.

So I did call - Was going to weigh on me at work all day if I didn't - Very nice CM said as long as I have my confirmation numbers I was all set with ADRs.

Mind is set at ease over food, so I guess I can worry about packing next :rotfl:

We have 26 days to check in and II'm still anxiously awaiting Mickey mail!!!

And I just won a FREE one night stay at any Holiday Inn around the world so that will take care of our stay the night before check in!! Anyone recommend a good one near WDW, perhaps in the downtown disney area?

11 more days!!! My adr's are all back online too so that is one last thing to worry about. Ds and I are sick so that really stinks , if we are not better by thursday I am going to try and get us into the doctors. We cant be sick for Disney!! Can someone tell me what weather site they use to look up the weather for disney?? I have been checking weather.com and accuweather.com. I want to start packing but I am going to wait until a few days before so I can get a better look at what the weather is going to be like.

ME TOO!!! I feel terrible! I need to go in,but I am tooo tired!! I know some antibiotics would make a world of diff, but too weak!! Mike is gonna take me to vote in a little bit...the NP is right around the corner...I should just go, but I am too tired to think about calling and getting an appt. Thats just pitiful.
I am sure its the start of a sinus infection-fever yesterday, today my head feels like it weighs a ton, and my sinuses are tender,-pressure in my ears...you get the picture! Mine settles in my chest and I get a horrible cough if I don't catch it early--and I already feel that tightening and wheezy feeling. Why oh Why don't they do housecalls anymore? who feels like going to the drs office?

QOTD- No, never have done and tours and won't be. Maybe someday when just hubby and I go but not too sure, I kind of like the idea of leaving the magic in place, but my mind may change on that.

We have done quite a few tours... the Segway tour and the Keys to the Kingdom our favorites of ours.... but you need to be 16 do do them both... I have only done them with Maggie... not Daniel... but he doesn't really care... if your going to do any I would suggest Keys to the Kingdom...

Well, I cannot remember if I have mentioned here or not, but my Josh was born with scoliosis and has surgery on his back twice a year up in Philly at the Shriners' Hospital (next surgery is 12/2.) Needless to say, he gets worn out a lil faster than the rest of us and we have to watch how much we do. So, I am getting a note from our doctor explaining his health issues and hopefully we will be able to get one of these cards as well. :thumbsup2 It is good for six people, which fits my family perfectly :goodvibes If we are able to get it, our trip will be so much more relaxed because we won't have to worry about lines near as much! :dance3:

The guest assistance card does not require a doctors note. If you go to guest relations in any of the four theme parks you can speak with a cast member and they can issue one there. It does help for those with endurance and mobility issues as well as those with illnesses.... the cast members are very nice about it.

I don't know of any hotels but I wanted to say Congrats on winning the free night!!!:thumbsup2

So I thought I would make Shelly happy and start to pack tonight!!! I have the suitcase on my bed and I have all my undergarments out.... that's all.. I am sitting here staring at them... decided to DIS instead.... I am thinking less shorts and more capri's for next week... most of the week is low to mid 70's... a light pair of capri's should be fine... then it will hit 80 by the end of the week...

That does make me very happy. ::yes:: :rotfl:

I already packed 10 pairs of shorts and now I'm thinking that I'm probably not going to need them. . . The forecast looks much cooler than last November. . . Guess I'll just keep watching it daily until we leave and hope for the best. :goodvibes

FINALLY got my Mickey Mail today! For some reason it now seems official!! ADRs still not showing up online, tho... but I called and they have them all. Whew!!:woohoo:

yeah...that's been lurking in the back of my mind also!!:rotfl:
Well, went to the Dr....start of a sinus infection....which I knew...he almost thought it was flu--but my sinus infections always start like this...so, I got some meds and Mike has gone to grab them for me from Wal Greens.....he also told me I need at least one more day of REST!! Woo Hoo..glad it's prescribed cuz that was my plan for tomorrow anyway!!!!!

I haven't stayed at the Holiday Inn near DTD (I think they were finishing construction when I stayed there?), but I stayed at the Doubletree, and those hotels are very convenient to the parks. If you're not driving, you can take a city bus from the airport. It's long (about an hour) and a little cumbersome with a lot of luggage, but cheap ($2/person) and doable.

Just checked and my ADR's are back too! One less thing to worry about. To all of you leaving soon, HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

We haven't gotten our Mickey mail!!! We are only 2 weeks out (although we booked through AAA.) Should I call tomorrow?

DH is in Boston this week for work. It sure has been hectic getting all 3 kids to activities. DS16 needs a car when he gets his license next month.

Where do you go for the Seeds tour? I'm guessing in The Land.

I haven't packed yet but I am still unsure what to pack....I was thinking shorts, t's and light jackets and a pair of jeans and capris if it gets cooler but it sounds like I am going to need more capris and jeans????

It's cold this morning, 27 degrees. I woke up snuggled with my hubby and the air felt so cold, I thought there is no place I'd rather be...til I realized that 2 weeks from today I could be snuggled up in DISNEY!!! So OK, maybe there is one place I'd rather be. ;)

2 Weeks From Today!!!

I'd call, because I'm like that. ;)

We don't get any Mickey Mail at all! Booo! We are using tickets from 2 years ago, non-expiring ones, and staying at the Swan, so there's no need for Mickey to mail us anything. :sad1:

Oooh, the weather man just said "the S word!!" Literally, he would not say the word "snow"! :lmao:

Leaving the day after tomorrow!!:cheer2:

WOW!! I am so jealous of ya'll!!Of course, if I lived there all my life, I would probably be sick of it too!! We just got back to some cooler nights/days-the last cold front the first of Oct didn't last neeeeear long enough. We have been back up to 90 degree days...this week is rainy(finally:yay:) and cooler...Maybe our hot days are finished. Last year it was colder than usual by now and it lasted a looooong time. I loved it!

:yay::cheer2:10 DAYS:cheer2::yay:

I lovewinter, but I love fall most and having it snow on Halloween was a little bit of a jip. I do very much enjoy the cold and snow, and I am ready for it now. (The best part is the cold air and snuggling!)

I am NOT a cold weather person- growing up in Louisiana will do that to a girl! The idea of snow just depresses me... So swimming while on vacation in November is right up my alley!

I can do online check-in tomorrow! Woohoo!!

QOTD: Are you doing anything new this year? And, if it is your first trip, do you have a "must do" at each park?

We are trying to do something new at each park this trip. Here is what I have come up with (DH is making his own list downrange):

MK: Country Bear Jamboree
EP: Imaginatin with Figment
AK: Festival of the Lion King
HS: Voyage of the Little Mermaid
