The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Hi All!

Just wanted to say hello :wave2: and join in the good times. We (me, DH, DD10 and DS8) are at the Poly from Nov. 4-8, moving to the BCV from Nov. 8-14th. We are all so excited for our first ever Poly stay (a dream of mine for as long as I can remember)!

I am a little stressed out as we only have 2 ADRs planned (California Grill and Chefs de France). We are going to attempt to eat off property a bit more than usual (since we will have a car) and I might even use the kitchen in our villa once or twice (the horror!). Does anyone have any good off property dining suggestions?

Thanks!

Deb

This doesn't include the Halloween Mickey dolls, Halloween pj's and trick or treat bags I just bought. Somebody stop me!
I can't help you! Got the same problem myself! I keep buying shirts from walmart that are Disney themed and I just contacted someone on etsy to make DS one. Oh and if he doesn't ruin his Halloween costume he will be dressing as a pirate one day on the trip. Oh and I am making matching shirts for MVMCP oh and I think I may get a shirt airbrushed for him too.. Yeah I need to stop!!

We have a Disney outlet 5 minutes down the road and I think I went a little crazy....The past year I've bought t shirts for my 2 boys (3 and 5), paying between 1.99-2.99 each. I just realized that I have 9 shirts for each boy! I bought 18 shirts, enough to surprise them with a new one each day of our trip :woohoo:

I'll stop you, if you can stop me! I only do one shirt for DS to wear on his actual birthday. But I do all kinds of room decorations & Mickey presents. Actually trying to squeeze all of our clothes into our carry-ons so I can pack the checked bag with the decorations & surprises. :lmao: I've been collecting things since Black Friday last year. Please stop me!!!

50 days from now and I will be on a plane going to my happy place!!:cool1: Doing a very happy dance.
It is so good to think of that. We opened our corn maze and pumpkin patch this weekend and we had lots and lots of rain and lightning! Just hope the weather is better all the other days until Halloween, that's not to much to ask is it?:confused3

Only 47 days to go now!! WOW :cool1: I cannot believe it is coming so quickly now. And of course with surgery on Thursday, I will not be able to help hubby with much of the prepacking  I will just have to give really good directions! :rotfl2:

It really does seem to be speeding up now. Good luck with the surgery and with the DH.

Funny story DH related- On Saturday I picked up a reusable insulated bag at Walmart for frozen or cold foods bought when shopping. We used it Saturday and yesterday were headed out the door I handed the bag to DH and said put this in the trunk for when we need it next time, he proceeded to put it into the back seat so I said why are you putting it there? :confused3 So he puts it in the trunk. Now I remembered I forgot to buy coffee so stopped at the store and put the bag in the trunk, Upon arrival home DH takes the insulated bag out of trunk along with the bag fron store, so I ask why you bringing that bag in , he looks at me then puts it back in saying "I thought you wanted it in the house" :lmao:

If I had to count on DH to do the packing I would be in BIG TROUBLE :rotfl2:

Duh! I got so excited typing that I forgot what I was actually typing! I meant to say, my ticker says 2 MONTHS! Tomorrow, it will begin with a 1!

QOTD: What one ride and one restaurant are you looking most forward to? Or more simply, What are you most looking forward to?

Mine ~ it is the surprise we have set up for the girls. It has killed me not sharing it with this group. It has been even harder not saying it aloud around them. We haven't even told our family that way no one can slip up and say something! LOL It really isn't anything major. And not something that would get me really excited if it was just for me. But for them, it will change their entire experience. They will be over the moon!

I am also super excited to finally get DD2 on E:E. And, even tho no one else in my family is excited about it, I can't wait to try JIKO! I have wanted to go there for years! And wouldn't you know it, when I finally get everyone to agree to go, they take the one thing I really wanted to try off the menu. The Ribs! Ugh...:sad2:

I don't know that I can pin it down to one thing. That is tough. I guess I would have to say the Pirates and Pals cruise we have booked. Cannot wait for wishes on the water!

For one of my courses (Intro to Fine Arts) I have to attend a concert. Well, since I'll be at WDW during the time of the Wine and Food Festival, I figured I would go to one of the many concerts that Epcot is offering. I was wondering how early should I be at the pavilion? :confused3 There are 4 artists during the time I am down there and I think there is 3 concerts per evening.

1 month, 1 week & 6 days :banana::banana:

The whole trip, I cannot wait :cheer2: We are eating at a few places that we have never eaten at, like Teppan Edo & The Crystal Palace. Looking forward to seeing attractions that we have never gotten a chance to check out, like the Conservation Station. Hoping I can get the kids on Dinosaur.

I am looking forward to walking down Main Street for the first time (not really a ride but definitely an experience) :goodvibes:goodvibes

That question is TOO HARD!:lmao:

We're trying a bunch of signatures this trip, so I'd have to say....nah, I just can't choose!:confused3

I'm looking forward to the Osborne Lights and the F&WF too!:lovestruc

I'm a total kid a heart -

Looking forward to my Birthday day! Not just because it's my birthday but we'll be in Epcot (fav park), enjoying my first Food and Wine Festival ever, Eat to the Beat that day is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, dinner at Le Cellier...

It's shaping up to be the best Birthday ever!

I am looking forward to going back to Biergarten in Germany, DH and Myself went there last year for the first time and loved the food, atmosphere, and the entertainment!
Not sure about doing any of the rides this year, my favorites are POTC and Haunted Mansion well at MK that is but this trip is bitter sweet for Us all.

Last year during Flower & Garden we were in Epcot the day Paul Revere and the Raiders were playing, the lines started forming at least an hour before so I watched one show standing outside and the last show right before Illuminations we picked a spot near Mexico and watched , I have been wondering too if it would be worth it to actually try to wait in line and get seats this time around but I think I will be watching again this time from outside I do so hate long lines :rotfl:

I can't decide! I love just being there! We're staying at AKL for the first time, so maybe I should say that. Hmmm...I am so ridiculously excited about this trip... and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets like this! :yay:

Wow, you guys have been busy! I haven't been able to sign on for about 2 weeks (with school, band, drumline, soccer and football) and it took me almost 2 hours to catch up. :surfweb: But it was fun to hear everyone's plans.
I am SO excited~in exactly 2 months we will check-in at our hotel near the airport. I am counting that as the first day of our WDW vacation. :thumbsup2 IS that cheating?
Also in 2 weeks and 4 days I will be having a birthday lunch at Club 33 in Disneyland. :cool1:
ALSO:
My condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one recently!
