The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

61 Days for me!

You poor thing! I've always read that DW is wonderful about dealing with food allergies.

I've always dreaded once we come home from our trips having to face cooking again. On our 8-10 day trips, I get pretty spoiled about not having to cook for 5. One is a teenage boy, so maybe I should rephrase that to read, "not having to cook for 10.":rotfl2:

QOTD: How about you all? Are you spoiled by not cooking when you come home?

Absolutely! It is rough to get back into the swing of things after 8-9 days of no cooking, laundry, or driving!!

At my 54 day mark! :cool1:

When my roommates come back from a trip to PA we're making a chain out of construction paper to count down to our trip... Who knew count downs would be so exciting still into my late 20s :lmao:

I think I may have already sold DH on going for Halloween next year!! His coworker goes every year for Halloween and was telling him how awesome it is. I then reminded him that our DS would still be free so we should take advantage of it lol!!!

I added a post to the front page of the thread for PTR links. So if you are writing one let me know and I will list it so we can all read each others!!

I only have 2 so far. Jillyb and myself. I know mousescrapper is doing one too, but I seem to have lost the link. . .:confused3

Lori - - - BIG TIME SPOILED! I don't mind cooking, but the hard part is figuring out what to make every night for dinner. I love NOT having to do that on vacation, since the ADRs are made and everyone in my family can pick what they want off the menu. Now, let's talk about how my family gets spoiled with being able to order different things off the menu each night on vacation!

I love it ! No truer words were ever spoken :rotfl2:

We are in the 50s... 59 Days!!!! So excited, but so much to do!!! :cool1:

I think we may be the only ones not doing MVMCP. We did it once, and who knows, maybe will again someday, but with DH and I plus 3 kids, 2 of which are "Disney Adults," it just doesn't fit into our budget. Hope you all have a great time at it, my favorite part was the parade and the "snow" on Main Street.

My answer to (yesterday's) QOTD...

I don't come right home to cooking, I ease myself back into it I guess. See, we come home and the very next day I will be at DD8's school working at the Santa's Secret Shop, and will work a lot of the week there. Plus I will start decorating the house so we can get our tree the weekend we get home. Then there is all the regular stuff, Girl Scouts (I am the leader, so taht means planning) and dance and on and on. So I fill my freezer with meals before we go. My freezer is always full of meals that can be defrosted and baked or just warmed up. I make sure it's full before we go so when I come hokme to a crazy week, we still have homemade dinners. I don't mind the cooking but there are no words to explain how much I hate the cleanup.

QOTD: How about you all? Are you spoiled by not cooking when you come home?

Yes and No. I love to cook, but I enjoy when I DON'T have too! ;) And like someone else said, everyone being able to order what they want and not have to eat what I cook is pretty awesome! I am going to miss cooking Thanksgiving Dinner this year. But when I get home, I get right back into the same dinner pattern. It is part of our schedule in daily life, so not cooking would disrupt my flow.... lol

Check out the Creative DISigns forum. There are some really talented designers there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out and found a great idea for matching t-shirts  with using bleach. I might have to change our t-shirt color from red to another color. Not sure how happy my DH and DS would be with having pink on their shirts.

We are doing red for the girls and green for the guys for the bleach pen shirts. Well that is the plan if I get around to it lol!

Hi all! I'm so excited that we are now officially less than two months away from our quick WDW trip! We (I) :lmao: have also switched our resort from CBR to AKL. We fell in love with the resort when we went to Boma for the first time in 2008. I am still waffling back and forth about where/when we will eat. I know Crystal Palace, Jiko, and Boma are definite. I'll post our times and dates when I have that all figured out. I'm going to really try to get a LGMH this time for my bag. Hope to see some of you there. :hippie:

We have a Disney outlet 5 minutes down the road and I think I went a little crazy....The past year I've bought t shirts for my 2 boys (3 and 5), paying between 1.99-2.99 each. I just realized that I have 9 shirts for each boy! I bought 18 shirts, enough to surprise them with a new one each day of our trip :woohoo:

This doesn't include the Halloween Mickey dolls, Halloween pj's and trick or treat bags I just bought. Somebody stop me!

The first of our multitude of reasons for going happened yesterday - my niece turned 5.

The next is my daughter's 4th birthday next week. (This is the ORIGINAL reason)
Then my wife and my anniversary.
Then my dad's retirement.
Then my brother and SIL's anniversary, which is a few days before we go.

My mom, my older daughter and my nephew are the only ones that aren't celebrating something specific to them.

So I just caught up on Part Deux! Thanks for all you're hard work Shelly, looks great!

I'm checking the mail everyday now for DME tags and my Disney Rewards Card! Now I have to plan our daily park schedule. Since this is our first trip ever to WDW it's hard to picture everything and make those dining/ride decisions. Sooo excited!:cool1:
