Seeing our room at BLT! We have a MK View room and I am excited to stare at the Castle every night before going to sleep!

Hello everyone! 45 more days!

Hope everyone is doing well.. we are super busy here with all the activities and school and such.. but I can't believe we only have 45 more days to go!

QOTD: What one ride and one restaurant are you looking most forward to? Or more simply, What are you most looking forward to?

A bunch of things.. DS 3.5 will be 40 inches so we'll all be able to go on Soaring, test track, splash mountain together
Staying at the Poly!! First time at a deluxe

eating - probably Le Cellier.. can't wait to see what all the hoopla is about!

Nah, it doesn't have to be those two things. I just threw those out there for a idea. It is basically whatever it is you are looking forward to. My wording (and typing) weren't coming off so well this morning. I blame it on all the allergy meds I am on at the moment... none of which are doing a darn thing but making me sleepy! lol

Hi All!

Just wanted to say hello and join in the good times. We (me, DH, DD10 and DS8) are at the Poly from Nov. 4-8, moving to the BCV from Nov. 8-14th. We are all so excited for our first ever Poly stay (a dream of mine for as long as I can remember)!

I am a little stressed out as we only have 2 ADRs planned (California Grill and Chefs de France). We are going to attempt to eat off property a bit more than usual (since we will have a car) and I might even use the kitchen in our villa once or twice (the horror!). Does anyone have any good off property dining suggestions?

Ride: RNRC!
Restaurant: Sci-Fi Dine In (I had the best steak salad and milkshake there last year!)
And most of all -- Being with my family at the BWI for a week!!

My son just tested postive for peanut, tree nut and egg allergies! So now I have some work to do for that! I called our airline and notified them and got the paperwork from Disney that I need to fill out. I am very nervous about taking a picky toddler with food allergies!

Check out the DISabilities forum here for lots of good advice, and try to land yourself a copy of Passporter's Open Mouse. It's got information on a wide variety of special needs, including allergies.

I think just the whole general experience of DD seeing the parks, meeting all the characters, etc. for the first time!

It really does seem to be speeding up now. Good luck with the surgery and with the DH.

Funny story DH related- On Saturday I picked up a reusable insulated bag at Walmart for frozen or cold foods bought when shopping. We used it Saturday and yesterday were headed out the door I handed the bag to DH and said put this in the trunk for when we need it next time, he proceeded to put it into the back seat so I said why are you putting it there? So he puts it in the trunk. Now I remembered I forgot to buy coffee so stopped at the store and put the bag in the trunk, Upon arrival home DH takes the insulated bag out of trunk along with the bag fron store, so I ask why you bringing that bag in , he looks at me then puts it back in saying "I thought you wanted it in the house"

If I had to count on DH to do the packing I would be in BIG TROUBLE

Isn't it funny how they just don't get it! And they think we are the illogical ones

Mine ~ it is the surprise we have set up for the girls. It has killed me not sharing it with this group. It has been even harder not saying it aloud around them. We haven't even told our family that way no one can slip up and say something! LOL It really isn't anything major. And not something that would get me really excited if it was just for me. But for them, it will change their entire experience. They will be over the moon!

I am also super excited to finally get DD2 on E:E. And, even tho no one else in my family is excited about it, I can't wait to try JIKO! I have wanted to go there for years! And wouldn't you know it, when I finally get everyone to agree to go, they take the one thing I really wanted to try off the menu. The Ribs! Ugh...

Well now I am just dying to know the surprise!!

Like others I do not know that I can pick just one thing, but a family favorite is our traditional breakfast at the Crystal Palace. We were not able to go on this last trip in Jan. because it was being refurbished, so I know everyone is looking forward to that.

For one of my courses (Intro to Fine Arts) I have to attend a concert. Well, since I'll be at WDW during the time of the Wine and Food Festival, I figured I would go to one of the many concerts that Epcot is offering. I was wondering how early should I be at the pavilion? There are 4 artists during the time I am down there and I think there is 3 concerts per evening.

1 month, 1 week & 6 days

You can come see Rick Springfield with us on 11/10 Not sure what time to get there for the show though because we have never actually stopped for one the concerts, so I will look forward to the replies you get on that.

Overall just taking my son for the first time!! And my husband getting to go on Soarin' for the first time and seeing my son spending time with my parents in the most magical place on earth. My ds is super close with them and this trip is really important to all of us as we fear my father may suffer from memory loss if family history continues to repeat itself. Oh and as for food, the popcorn! I just have to sneak away and eat it because my son can't have it.

WOW!! Great QOTD!! I am gonna have to say the whole shebang!!!!!A little bit of cheatery there, but thats it! My ds14 and my hubby,for some reason, are waaaay more excited about this upcoming trip than the last couple of trips. Not sure why...and ds doesn't usually like knowing way in advance, but he wanted to know this time and is so excited. I am like this every time,as are my younger two, but this trip we are all raring to go. I just can't wait!!! we are 56 days out, paid in full, park days planned, ressies made, toiletry and snack buying has begun..... just odds and ends to purchase and we will be ready. We are doing the MVMCP but I am not getting tickets until closer to time...I have the night planned that I want to go, but if it's gonna be inclement weather that night I wanted to have options!!! I will def. purchase them when we get there.....unless the 14 day forecast is tooo wonderful, then I will do it before we leave...

I have read that it is possible to see the OL after Fantasmic that the CM's sorta encourage everyone to head over to see them after the show, I do have our DHS day planned the night they are showing Fantasmic-We have never seen it either but , I am thinking I might just head over to OL while everyone else is at Fantasmic so it is not so crowded? I thought about changeing going to DHS to another day but if they add a second show for Fantasmic then we could do both

Restaurant: We always look forward to the California Grill, and we're eating dinner there on our anniversary, but I make a ressie at Teppan Edo this time, and I'm looking forward to trying that, since we've never eaten there before.

Ride: Splash Mountain! I have never been on this ride (SHOCKING!), and I've played the YouTube videos for my kids in the hopes that they will ride with me. Also, the kids never showed any interest in POTC or HM before, so I just skipped it in years past, but not this time! I just told DH, "I'm going on them, even if I go alone!" He said he'll go with me!

I just turned 30, and I am taking my single Mom, younger brother and our family friend the 14th thru 21st of November. It will be our first vacation together as a family since 1987! I'm so excited. We'll be celebrating my Mom's birthday! I booked free dining and upgraded to Deluxe.

QOTD, Most looking forward to restaurant. Tough, cause the one I like the most is on our leaving day, so to say I am "looking forward" to it, no, but I do so enjoy Chef Mickey's breakfast. (We have done it every trip, for the last 10 years or so it has been on our last day to say goodbye on a high note.) Other then that, food wise, WPE. Love the food and will use it often with our QSDP this trip!

Ride, well, my favorite is always Splash Mountian, I never tire of it.

Overall though, my favorite part of the trip and what I am mostlooking foward to is having my DH and DDs all to myself for a week and a half. No work (DH has been working 75+ hour weeks), no school, no running the kids everywhere. Just 10 days with the people I love most in the place I love most! Can't wait!!! 58 days!!!
