My first time we got stuck on just about every ride!

The one I guess I wouldn't be mind being stuck on would be Spaceship Earth... or the Haunted Mansion

Now not a QotD but I do have a questions... about when do they start putting the big Gingerbread House together at the GF? I doubt I'll see it completed before we leave but I would love to at least see it in progress if possible!

If your going to MVMCP have you bought the tickets yet? We are planning on going 11/16 and I am wondering if I should just order them now and have it be done with?

We are planning on going Thurs Nov 11th but I havent purchased them yet

Question Of The Day:
If you were to get stuck in one ride all day, what would it be?

Well I have been stuck twice on HM ( the part where you are going down backwards and the banquet hall) and also PotC when they had a soft opening in 2006. We got stuck next to the air cannons for 20mins and luckily my 10mth old at the time did not mind. I've also got stuck on the wooden roller coaster at SixFlags NJ and had to walk down. That was quite scary

So I will pick the Great Movie Ride as I love looking at all the scenery. Plus it would be easy to walk off.

I am glad I am not the only one who hates that ride.I went on that Mission Space back when it first opened, it was the most awful feeling, it literaly took my breath away and I will never go on it again, I heard they have 2 versions now one not as bad but I still will not chance it. If I got stuck on that one , they be taking out my passed out body

I hate HATE hate that ride!!! We went on the "green" version and I still hate it! I had a feeling I might not like it because of being enclosed, but both the kids wanted to ride it on our Jan 2009 trip and I didn't want to be a party pooper, so we all got on. As soon as the doors closed I knew it was going to be awful. It wasn't the ride at all, it is actually pretty tame. I just got really claustrophobic and started to sweat and feel nauseous. I really thought I was going to pass out and when the harness bars lifted at the end of the ride I would just fall right to the floor! But I managed to take deep breaths and made it though. But NEVER AGAIN!!

I'm not sure when exactly it gets started. . . It was in progress when we visited the GF on Nov 11 last year and was set to open on the 16th - the day after we were leaving. It was very neat to see it in progress!

I know it was yesterday's question, but I'll still answer ROCK N ROLLERCOASTER!!!! By FAR, mine & DD9's absolute FAVorite ride!!!! In fact, when the family decides to venture over to something like the playground, or snack stand, they'll let me go over & over & over again through the single-rider line. Just LOVE it!!!

I did get stuck on a roller coaster in Florida once, not at WDW. Not fun. Thunder & lightening were rolling in...an outdoor roller coaster! They ended up pushing the car until we got to the platform.

Got my Southwest $25 off code!!! visitflorida.com/share was the link in case anyone missed it earlier. There are some blackout dates. I think they are around Thanksgiving.

Pittsburgh people - anyone other than Southwest fly nonstop to MCO at reasonable prices?? We will not fly Air Tran.

Nope, just SW and AT fly non-stop from PIT. At least that's all I've ever been able to find in the last 5 years!!

We got our flights with AT at $79 each way this time. Not bad. I've gotten them cheaper before, but lately SW prices have been very high , so I wasn't waiting around for them.


There is Allegiant Air out of Youngstown that flies non-stop to MCO now and often run some great deals, especially last minute. But they only fly down and back on certain days of the week and the times are terrible. I'm thinking it's like Thursdays and Sundays. Flights down are in the evenings and flights back are in the mornings. We haven't tried them yet, but may someday if we get desperate!

That's nice that you have family so close to PIT and they will drive you there!! We are about an hour from the airport, so it's not bad. We do have to park & pay though.

I am super duper lucky.. because in 2 weeks I will be in Disney!!

We are leaving next weekend for a 2 week vacation.. going down to Florida to visit family and then a week cruise.. My DS turns 7 on the 18th.. so we are surprising him with a 3 day trip to Disney!! Can't wait to see the look on his face.. he has no idea..

We (the boys and I) leave on Saturday.. we are driving down to my Aunts.. visiting family and friends until Thursday when we pick up DH at MCO.. Gabriel (ds) thinks we are just going to get a hotel around the port until we set sail on Sunday.. but we are going to then go straight to CBR.. YEAH! I am so super excited!! My aunt, cousin and mom will meet us there for the surprise.. Thursday night dinner at Boma.. Friday MK, dinner at Crystal Palace.. Saturday Epcot, dinner at Tepan Edo.. and then Sunday we get on the cruise for a week.. (not disney though.. but that's okay.. its still a cruise right!)

I want to pack now!!!

We are leaving next weekend for a 2 week vacation.. going down to Florida to visit family and then a week cruise.. My DS turns 7 on the 18th.. so we are surprising him with a 3 day trip to Disney!! Can't wait to see the look on his face.. he has no idea..

I know. I booked this trip the farthest out that I have ever booked - 11 months!! So the countdown has been a slow process. But it was 2 months ago that I started this thread and I think that time has gone by fairly quick since then. Maybe that's just because I have been so busy! I hope time doesn't drag once school is out this Friday.

Hey everyone! Just got home from the beach (we have a little house down the beach and spend most of the summer there- just doing weekends right now until the kids get out of school). Unfortunately we don't have internet at the house, so I'll have to check in at work.
Just read through the last few pages and asked my family where they would like to get stuck- DS11 said Peter Pan (over the city scene) and DH said POTC or HM. My DS6 said he has no interest in being stuck on any ride and I would have to say Soarin would be as good a place as any!

Hey everyone! Just got home from the beach (we have a little house down the beach and spend most of the summer there- just doing weekends right now until the kids get out of school). Unfortunately we don't have internet at the house, so I'll have to check in at work.

Same here as to the beach house, ours is at the Jersey shore on Long Beach Island. Ditto on the no internet, although now and then I get an unsecured connection but it's not reliable, I should just bite the bullet and pay the outrageous cost of seasonal internet. Just got back last Tuesday and heading back again next week. DH and I are planning to move to Delaware in the next year or two, probably near Lewes...I spent my summers with my grandmother in Rehoboth when I was a kid.
