90 days must have been crazy I am thankful FD has not been offered yet for our vacation dates too :)

I am sure everyone has heard this rumor, that Le Cellier might be going Signature. :sad2: Some are saying as early as September 2010, others are saying January 2011. From reading everyone's posts, a lot of people have an ADR for Le Cellier, including me. If they do change Le Cellier to a Signature Dining restaurant (2 TS credits) before November, are we going to have to use 2 TS credits or do you think they'll honor our ADR as 1 TS? :confused3

Just saw this thread - can I join? We (me, DH ,DS6 and DD4) will be at AKV Nov. 9-16! Just booked airfare so it is official....can't wait!!!! Made all my ADRs and got everything I wanted - yay! This is our first November trip - we went 2nd week of December last year. Hoping for nice weather and low crowds!

I don't know what they are going to do about it, it sounds like it's going to be a mess no matter what! I would think it would be easier to do it starting in Jan. but maybe they want to do it before FD starts?!?!? :confused3

Does anyone know when they announce the dates for the Osbourne lights?? Las year it started Nov 10th so I am hoping it is the same this year..Also, if HS closes at 7pm when do they do the lights??? I guess it is dark by 6pm?? Just wondering bc even though I have been to disney over 20 times...never for christmas stuff:thumbsup2 This is what I am excited the most for...and Harry Potter

I get to make my reservations tomorrow!! Yay! I checked and I am already in the reservation system so I can do it online.:cool1:

Yikes! I just made an ADR this morning for our anniversary in November. I really liked Le Cellier but I think we'll pass if it goes to 2TS :confused3

Unless I'm was having another Disney dream, I believe they start 11/8 :worship: And IIRC, they started around 6pm last year.

Good luck on your ADRs! I made mine this morning and got everything I wanted :goodvibes

Hello November friends! It's the best time to visit WDW!! (IMHO!)

Today was our 180 ADR day and I am happy to report I got everything I think I want...we are trying a few places that are new to us (Sanna & Boma for breakfast), and skipping a few of our favorites (O'hana & Boma for dinner). I did get a Le Cellier for the first time -- I was up at 5:30am and logged in and ready to go as soon as the clock turned to 6am. I haven't been so on top of an ADR since CRT a few years ago. Crazy! Fun too, but definitely CRAZY!

What is this 2TS at Le Cellier rumor? I have been all over the boards for weeks and haven't seen it?

Anyway...happy planning all

Le Cellier is my reservation on our last night; we're staying 7 nights, so I purposely did Le Cellier on the date that we were most likely to get!

If they do make it signature, I can't imagine that they wouldn't announce it 180 (190?) days in advance, potentially with a refurb before. They KNOW how many people call at 7:00 AM the first day that they can.

My call date was Thursday. I originally made 8 ADRs (staying 7 nights), including 1900 PF the first night at ~6. The problem was that MK closes at 6:30, and EP at 9. We were worried about time in the parks (I doubt my dad would want to hop after dinner), so we're doing Coral Reef the first night now, and 1900 PF the second, canceling Tony's.

Then we noticed that Spectro was on the 2nd night. We've twice moved the ADR at 1900 PF back - from 6 to 5:35, and then to 5:10.

The rest are, as far, untouched; however, the plan currently has us in MK or EP for the entirety of the first four days, so it's likely going to change at some point! The one day I really like is the Friday, where we're going to have a late Chef Mickey's breakfast (9:50), and had over to EP for F&W to snack most of the day. That night, we go to MVMCP.

It's in this thread:

I read this rumor in a thread a day or so ago but I tend to not believe it since signature restaurants are in the resorts ? I just don't see them making Le Cellier a signature restaurant since the dress code is different and I don't think they could hold people to that in the park setting.
I never have used the DP but if I did I would find it hard to use 2 TS credits for any restaraunt unless it was HDDR or Aloha Dinner Shows.

Add us to the list!! We will be staying Nov.13-20 at AKL-Kidani in a 1BR Villa with DMIL. Today was my 180 day so I called in our ADR's as soon as my son got on the bus for school this morning. I got everything we wanted. A very brief rundown: 11/13(Arrival day)- no ADRs, plan on CS in MK and staying as late as kids will let us with EMH til 1am, 11/14- Jiko at 7:30pm, 11/15- Chefs de France at 1:20pm so we can catch Remy at 1:40, 11/16- CRT at 4:15pm before MVMCP that evening, need to call back in 2 days for BBB ressie before CRT for DD4, 11/17- none/flex day, 11/18- Ohana at 8:55am, our only breakfast as we are not early risers, but we do love Stitch, 11/19- Chef Mickey at 5pm for our last supper. I have been online since this morning and am headed for Disney overload if there is such a thing, I don't think there is!!:surfweb:

:cool1: I made my ADR'S online this morning and got everything we wanted. :cool1:

13th-Yak & Yeti
14th-WCC
15th-Le Cellier
16th-Kona
17th-Sci Fi
18th-Tutto
19th-Kona

I was really surprised because when I was done making the reservations I got on the phone with my husband to tell him I had gotten everything and he said to me "that's awesome, can we just go now"!! I was so happy to hear enthusiasm from him about our Disney trip.....I only wish we could actually go now!!:goodvibes

Ntheory... I forgot..are you doing the Christmas party? Just curious...i need to go back thru the thread and see who is going from our little group!!! I am torn on the tues and Thurs!!!!!! I am still iffy...but I think the kids are really wanting to do a late parade kinda night!!! If I do the MVMCP, I am probably gonna skip Spectro/Wishes....hmmmmm lots of choices....what to do?!!!

Yes. We've not gotten tickets yet, but we're planning to go on the 8th. I have reservations for the castle for dinner that night at 5:30 so that we can see the lights out the windows of the castle.

:)

Ok and now for a QOTD........Is there one or more special souveinirs you plan on buying this vacation?

I always get a watch on our trips. I'm not sure what kind this time, but I love looking for just the right one each time.

We homeschool so I can arrange our vacation as I need to.My oldest was in public school for a few years in elementary, I took him out for vacations. Once they are in hs I can see where it would get sticky...but unless it was exam week, I would still take them out!!

Same here. I LOVE being able to go whenever we want to. My oldest at home is going into HS this year, but we will just work around that particular week. Not a big deal. My little one is only going to be 5 when we go. We're doing Kindergarten now, so that won't be a big deal either. When my oldest child was at home, we did the same thing. We just went when it worked for us and either took school with us or worked around that week. :) We don't take much time off around Christmas, though - and we don't get snow or sick days! 180 days .... no matter what.

Well Bob called me Monday morning and said "do you wanna go to disney tomorrow??" I was like WHAT???? after about 5 minutes of thinking it over..I said yes. We left at 3am the next morning to go to JFK airport (about an hour drive for us) and left at 6am..arrived in orlando, picked up a rental car and headed to our hotel..we didn't have any DVC points available so we stayed at Caribe Royal which is an all suite hotel and really nice..I got a really cheap rate online for like 90$....

OH MY GOSH!!! How awesome is that!!! I know you had to have an absolute blast. I'm so glad you were able to go!!!! :) :)

I haven't heard it..have to check it out..but I would think if you had a ressie they would honor it...if not I will skip it! I don't mind using 2 for the Castle, or if they would apply it to HDDR, but not a restaurant!
Just saw this thread - can I join? We (me, DH ,DS6 and DD4) will be at AKV Nov. 9-16! Just booked airfare so it is official....can't wait!!!! Made all my ADRs and got everything I wanted - yay! :welcome: and just have to say I LOVE your screen name!! Do you love those movies too? They are faves around here!! Hoping for the same thing in Nov...we went Dec 5th last year and it was crazy with the pop kids!!

We went to see it last year and I think it started a little after 6... I think they just don't let you in once 7:00 rolls around...but if you are there before you get time to stroll around. We didn't stay too long--it was raining, but I think someone said you can stay till 8 or9? I think...don't quote me!!

I think we are just gonna wait till closer to time to get the tickets...wanna make sure on the weather...but I think in Nov it'll be fine! We have been in the castle before watching the lights and sunset out those beautiful windows...aaahhhhh!! Yay for you!!!
And my oldest son is 14 going into HS also! We need to talk!!! Ha!!! He actually did some Freshman level work last year...so maybe we will finish early!!:woohoo:
Glad everyone is getting the ADRs we wanted...good sign! I figured the weekends at Epcot would be hard to get...F&W and then people coming in for Tday....but I still think our crowd level is gonna be AWESOME!!!!

Whew! That's done. This morning was my ADR day! Got everything I was hoping for! Heres the lineup:

Jiko
Tutto Italia
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Chef Mickey's
California Grill
Le Cellier

Looks great! :thumbsup2

all done!!! Surprising..I went for Le Cellier first and snagged it!!! It took me the longest to find something available for the Sat Nov 20...guess with people staying over that holiday weekend..anyway, I finigled a couple of WS dinners around and got all the one we wanted.... as we get closer, I might try to switch a few around..but if not, it's still a darn good plan!!!;)

Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
Garden Grill
Nine Dragons
50s Prime Time
The Plaza
Captains Grill

I have one TS left...I may let the kids do Cape May Cafe for Breakfast on our slow day, or departure day...not sure and it's never been hard to get into when we have stayed there....so...I am gonna try to take a nap! I didn't sleep worth a fig trying to not miss my window! I had to be on at 5!!!!! Nighty night November buddies!!!!

Awesome! :goodvibes

Now...I can rest for a while. But, I have to say--Shelly chime in here---it's a lot less stressful at 180 days than it was last year at 90. That was ridiculous!! I couldn't believe they had changed it...but I am just so grateful they put it back!!! Talk about stress!!

Oh yes, much less stressful at 180 days. Last time was 90 days and free dining. I was super stressed out!! :faint:

I don't think it has officially been released yet. . . Rumor has it Nov 8th. . . But DHS has 7:00 closings that week. They turn on the lights at 6:00. I kind of doubt they would do that. . . So I'm guessing they will extend the hours until 8:00 or else not start the lights until later in the month. . . :confused3

I know. It seems like once you have your ADR's it should be time to go!! :hyper:

I am assuming the Osborn Lights are a every night thing, right? Even including Thanksgiving night?

I don't know what it is about this trip. Normally I can plan down to the minute. And for the most part I have. Its Thanksgiving Day that is getting me. I can't decide where to go, where to eat or what to do... We all keep changing our minds. Right now we are hoping for Breakfast at Chef Mickeys (that is for sure, if we can get it!), morning at AK, early dinner at Boma or Jiko, then to MGM for the OL if they are going on that evening. The plan will probably change again in 5 minutes or so. lol

Not sure if you have ever seen this Disney Food Blog, but just happened upon it and it has a couple of articles about Thanksgiving Offerings in the Past , thought you might find it interesting
