Yahoo! All went well with our ADRs on Thursday morning :) A little shifting occurred, but we'll get to go to Le Cellier for the first time!

We have a Family Magic Tour scheduled. Has anyone done this? DS will be 7 years old. Good age for this?

Now we are just waiting to see if they extend the Pirate & Pal Fireworks cruise. If not, maybe try to share a Wishes cruise.

Happy planning & good luck to everyone with their upcoming ADRs! :wizard:

Where are you all going to eat on Thanksgiving Day? I need to make ressies next Sat. I'm beginning to stress.

Lori

We are thinking Whispering Canyon. Originally our 1st choice was 1900, its now our backup. DD#2 has wanted WCC since we stayed at WL last year. And since she won't eat the food served their normally, we figured this was our best chance. We are also throwing around Hoop Dee Do Revue.

We have a Family Magic Tour scheduled. Has anyone done this? DS will be 7 years old. Good age for this? We are also planning on doing this for the 1st time in Nov. I read some mixed reviews on allears.net, so I'm still a little torn about it...

Now we are just waiting to see if they extend the Pirate & Pal Fireworks cruise. If not, maybe try to share a Wishes cruise. Are you guys staying platinum? We are staying premium for 1 night, but it doesn't include the cruises (I don't think it does, anyway!)

Happy planning & good luck to everyone with their upcoming ADRs! :wizard:
Thanks! I get to start on 5/22 :cheer2:

SPILL!!! Tell us what you did, how it went!! Just you and hubby or did the girls go too?

Well Bob called me Monday morning and said "do you wanna go to disney tomorrow??" I was like WHAT???? after about 5 minutes of thinking it over..I said yes. We left at 3am the next morning to go to JFK airport (about an hour drive for us) and left at 6am..arrived in orlando, picked up a rental car and headed to our hotel..we didn't have any DVC points available so we stayed at Caribe Royal which is an all suite hotel and really nice..I got a really cheap rate online for like 90$...

we checked in and headed right to MK...It was March 9th and I had no idea how the crowds were going to be...we got to the TTC and it was MOBBED..I don't think I have ever seen that many people...when we got to the MK, main street was wall to wall people..but when I got up to the times list..the waits were not bad at all..like 20 minutes for peter pan:thumbsup2 I think everyone was just coming at the same time..I think it was like 1030am. We stayed at the MK all day...we didnt plan on seeing everything so we just let the kids pick what they really wanted..Abby my 3 year old had to do the Hunchin Manchin...aka Haunted Mansion;) she constantly sings that song at the end...about the grinning ghost come out to socialize...

Belle really wanted Peter Pan..we did this and lots more. We left at like 7pm bc everyone was wiped from being up at 3..and no naps..so we headed back to hotel..we ordered Outback takeout and ate at the hotel.

The next morning we headed to EPCOT. I think we got there at like 930..spent the whole day..it was really nice because of the flower and garden festival and all of the beautiful gardens and playgrounds for the kids..we rode all of the necessities...had lunch at Sunshine Seasons...we didnt' do any sit downs because of our time limits..WE left Epcot at like 430 and headed to the airport...We got home at like midnight..

All in all..it was an amazing 2 days that I will never forget...I am very lucky that my husband is the craziness in my life and he convinces me to do some really fun things that otherwise I would never do. Iwill try to add a few pics in a minute.

can i just tell you how much I LOVE jet blue??? those individual tv's with direct tv at each seat are amazing for kids.

I was just thinking about it...we scored an 8:05 ADR for CRT breakfast. How early will we need to leave CBR to get there? How early do the busses even run? I've seen on other parts of the board ppl talking about allowing an hour to get somewhere on the bus, but do I really need to leave CBR at 7am?

yes they do have buses that early and yes you will need to leave at least by 715 at the latest..and you are going to want to have a few minutes before your adr to take pics with the castle and no people around.

Wow that is amazing Andrea!! :goodvibes:cool1:

You'll probably want to be at the bus stop at CBR by 7:15, just in-case. Likely this will get you to MK by 7:30. But you still have to go through security, ticket scan, walk all the way up main street, etc. That will allow you plenty of time.

Me tooooooo!!! That's my 180 day!!! May 22 baby!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

We are doing a split stay with POP premium, then Poly. Sooooo....I can ONLY make ressies for 2 days at first :scared1: Then I have to CALL BACK on 5/23 for the rest. I'm a nervous wreck. In fact, it almost makes me puke. With the 180+10, I hope I don't miss out on everything I need. pixiedust: to you though!

We did HDDR 3 years ago on Thanksgiving. We all agreed to go and enjoyed it very much. After it was over, my children whined about not having turkey on Thanksgiving.:rolleyes1

YAY ~ More November friends! :cool1:

:welcome: to both of you!!

Andrea~ That is AMAZING!!! Yep..you had to do it!!! I think it's fabulous!!! Way to go hubby!!!

Has anyone done any of the tours, like Keys to the Kingdom? I know some of them have an age limit...Mike is really wanting to do some..but my oldest is 14, and if the limit is 16, then we can't go....Mike has done the Lunch with Imagineers twice and loved it--we go do rides and shows (DHS) while he's there....it's great! But, we want to do something different this time!

Andrea...you've got a real keeper there! What an absolutely spectacular surprise.

Has anyone visited during the Food & Wine time before? This is our first time to catch part of it. I'd appreciate any insight you can offer about the suitability of being there with 5 & 6 yr olds. Should we try to visit during the day, early evening or does it matter at all? I am thinking crowds, and uh... crowd suitability. Personally, while I'd be happy with drunken revelry, the likes of which probably are not seen in Epcot, my travelling party is composed of teetotalers and children, so I am looking for the best experience for them. Sampling our way around the world sounds amazing, but would it be better to pass on Epcot until F&W is over?

I think the year we did Nov it was ending the day we arrived...so we never personally saw anything...I have heard that some people do get a little 'happier' in the afternoon/evening time...but also, that the security and CMs are close at hand monitoring it all....I guess if it got rowdy you could just slip off and notify someone. I will say that I have seen people leaving restaurants at Epcot and you could tell they had toooo much! I would think it's fine...you already know that it's a possibility, so just keep your eyes peeled for the ones staggering around:rotfl:

First I have to agree about Andrea having a keeper, oh for the love of a spontanious man :rotfl:

Second although I have never gone to Food & Wine myself, I have been doing a bit of reseach here on the Dis Boards, and from what I have surmised, the rowdy ones come out on the weekends(locals) Friday day is ok but avoid Friday nites, I am planning on doing Epcot for the Food & Wine, Tuesday and Wednesday while there since it is the last week of the Festival and hopeing for less crowds during the week.

We did food and wine festival once and it was neat to try the different foods..alot of the kiosk's have food items that are available for a snack credit on the dining plan.

yes..my husband is kind of a keeper...tonight he is camping in the backyard with the girls....kind of a test run with our new huge tent we are taking camping in the poconos for Mem Day weekend.
