But but I hate my name :rotfl2: it's Sheila anyway one of the reasons I wanted to stay at AKL again was because of Bomas I only went there 2x quite a few years ago on a previous weekend visit but as far as buffets go I found it very good, a mixture of classic american with some african dishes thrown in, I like to try new things and the House specialty juice at Breakfast was to die for :cloud9:, I think it was called Jamba Juice but don't quote me. We tend to frequent the restaurants located at the resorts where we are staying rather than travel to other resorts as a rule,to me eating takes up enough precious vacation time without adding travel time from point A to B. I loved the restaurants at Yacht Club the year we stayed there too :thumbsup2.
The couple times we stayed at WL I was not too thrilled with Artists Point or Whispering Canyon but DH loves WL so I am sure he will want to stay there again. The "kids" (DS an his wife) are 40 :lmao: and keep saying they want to do HDDR,SeaWorld and Richard Petty Experiance, but I can not pin them down on when :rolleyes1. We did HDDR last year for the 3x and we just are not interested in doing it again, I even suggest since they don't want to do the MVMCP that might be a good night for them to do HDDR but so far they have not commited :confused3

My favorite is Animal Kingdom. I know I'm in the minority, but I just love it there.

As far as MK goes, I'd place it 4th on my list. :scared1: Shocking! :rotfl2:

4th?????? Yep, definate minority .....:rotfl2: but it is all good :thumbsup2

Wow, didn't expect to hear that one!! :rotfl:

That's what is so great about WDW ~ Definitely something for everyone!! :goodvibes

Actually MK is probably about 3rd on the list for me. DHS, Epcot, MK, then AK. I don't know. . . I probably like Epcot and MK about the same. . . We just seem to spend more time at Epcot. The whole reason we chose the BWI over the Poly!

I think I am becoming about the same way. MK has always been our fave park but more and more I love spending my time at Epcot (in World Showcase) so I think I would tie them up right now. It is definitely one of the main reasons we are staying at BWV this trip! :) I can't wait to be able to just walk right into WS. AK def comes in last for me though. Way too hot there and just not much I like to do. Some trips we end up skipping AK all together.

Anyone up for a little game to help pass the time??? :cool1:

Each day someone will ask the "Question of the Day" -- which is of course a Disney related question (favorite character, favorite restaurant, favorite ride, etc). Then we can each chime in with our answer! I've done this before on other countdown threads and it is a lot of fun!

I will go ahead and start. I will start with an easy Question of the Day --

What is your favorite WDW park (only pick one!)?

Mine is -- DHS!! :woohoo:

My favorite park is Magic Kingdom. This park always brings up many happy memories for me.

Ok, time for some opinions... ;)

This trip is going to be so different from what we are used to. We usually go in Sept for free dining and stay at Riverside. We have done this for the last 5 years and enjoyed it. We buy base tickets for the entire length of stay and are in the parks all the time.

This year we will be doing 3 nights and Riverside and then switch to Boardwalk Villa's for 4 nights. During this trip we will have only 3 day park hopper passes. These can not be added to so we are only doing the 3 days in the parks. We are also not going to be on the dining plan. So, we will have a total of 8 days with only 3 for parks and no ddp which we are used to.

I am kind of looking forward to it being a relaxing trip with no rushing around the parks the whole time then again I am wondering if we will find enough to do to fill up that many extra days when we are so used to being in the parks.

With the dining I think we will do T-Rex at least twice. I bought gift cards for there already. They are also good for RFC so we may do that one night as well. That will cover 3 meals. I know one night we will just get a pizza out at the pizza window and hang on the boardwalk. I think we will do a character b-fast at 1900 PF as we really enjoy that one. I also want to try the new Pizzeria opening up at Epcot as well as a lunch one day over at Beaches and Cream. We really like Wolfgang Puck Express so we may eat there once or twice as well.

Other than that I would love some thoughts on some fun things to do, ways to spend the days, different places to eat, etc. :) I am really looking forward to experiencing such a different trip this year. A cooler time of year is top of my list. Sept is just TOO hot...lol The decorations will be different as well which will be cool to see so that is exciting. I usually have a whole itinerary put together by now but I am just not sure what to do with everything being so different. :rotfl:

That's a lot of down time for sure! But it might end up to be your best trip yet, you never know! :goodvibes

Do you know what parks you want to visit and on which days?

I would definitely visit MK while you are at POR. And save DHS and Epcot for when you are at BWV. Also make sure to have a free day at each resort to enjoy their pools!

I'd probably go to DTD at least twice. And spend an evening on the BW watching the entertainers!

Resort hop! Spend a morning touring the monorail resorts. Check out the value and moderate food courts -- they are very good and have lots of choices!

Maybe do the mini-golf next to the BW. We are thinking about trying it!

We'll be taking our second family trip this November 21-28, only this time with our 2 year old!! Staying at GF and cannot wait!:yay::

I've started planning our ADRs and am trying to decide if we should do Deluxe Dining Plan. Any opinions? We like to eat a b-fast and a dinner every day, and I know some are more credits than others. Is it worthwhile?

Also trying to come up with a nice place for T-giving dinner. Anyone been to Biergarten at Epcot?

This trip will be here before we know it!

:cheer2: Just made my deposit for WDW! Kind of scary but very exciting. And I only have 10 days till ADR!

I would say EPCOT because it is the one we went to most, but we were staying at BWV the last 2 times and it was sooo close. We went every night to watch Illuminations. We are staying at BLT this time, so who knows maybe MK will be our new favorite. We only spent one day there so far and have never seen Wishes. I can't wait!

We will be on the dining plan but not the deluxe. I am kind-a holding my breath in hopes that DS will sit through the one TS we have each day. With not knowing how DS will handle the parks and all the activity, I would have a hard time working in all the ADRs around the parks and downtime in the afternoons. DS is an early riser so getting to the parks in the morning should be relatively easy. We eat breakfast in the room most days and have a breakfast at Ohana scheduled one morning. We have liked eating a CS at whichever park we are in before heading to the resort and chilling several hours. I have not been on deluxe before so take that into consideration ;). I would think that that if you are a family that will do alot of TS, then buying the deluxe will be worth it.

We havent nailed down Thksgv. meal yet, but I am trying to focus our TS on meals with a buffet. DS will be close to 3yrs so this will be easier than trying to share a meal with him.

We will be at WL. We may see you on the bus. :cool1:

My favorite park is a toss up between MK and DHS. MK is just so full of memories from the past. DHS has many fun things to do. I like all of them!!:goodvibes

Magic Kingdom.
DHS and Epcot are tied for second place. I've really grown to enjoy Epcot more and more over the years.

Magic Kingdom, hands down. I think its the essence of Disney. From the rides, to the parades to the fireworks, its Disney. Even tho my favorite show is at AK, FOTLK and my favorite "fireworks" are at DHS, Fantasmic!. And my favorite way to pass time is at in the World Showcase at EPCOT. MK has my heart! :lovestruc

We'll be at the GF at the same time! And our girls are the same age! Maybe we will see you at the pool! Look for the 5'6" (probably taller by then) 10 year old! lol

Opps... Hit reply to soon! Duh! LOL

We are doing the DxDP. We are going to pig out this trip. We are doing two TS a day and one counter. We will probably never be able to eat it all, but we are going to try it anyways. As for Thanksgiving, we are leaning towards Whispering Canyon Cafe now with our 2nd choice being 1900 Park Fare. But it may change.....

Hmm, favorite parks.... For rides, and probably overall, I'd say MK. But for food, I'd say Epcot! That was a no-brainer to skip TS to make up for the 2 credits we're spending at CRT - Epcot has soo much good counter service!

I'm starting to feel indecisive about the TS on our second MK day though. I had originally chosen LTT for lunch, as I wanted to be able to order from the menu vs. the fixed Thanksgiving fare, but now I'm thinking perhaps we should save TS for dinner since we'll be there late for MVMCP. So anyone care to weigh in on LTT lunch or Plaza dinner?
