We'll be taking our second family trip this November 21-28, only this time with our 2 year old!! Staying at GF and cannot wait!:yay::

I've started planning our ADRs and am trying to decide if we should do Deluxe Dining Plan. Any opinions? We like to eat a b-fast and a dinner every day, and I know some are more credits than others. Is it worthwhile?

Also trying to come up with a nice place for T-giving dinner. Anyone been to Biergarten at Epcot?

This trip will be here before we know it!

We went to Biergarten last year for the first time for Lunch and totally enjoyed it so returning this year for dinner. Going for the 1st time we were not sure about the food nor the seating arrangements but found both to be to our likeing. We were seated at a table with a couple from Maine, and another couple and their grown DS and his wife(I forget where they were from). All the men got along fine,(perhaps it was the flowing beer) :rotfl2: they remeninced about their service years and then just lots of general talk and good cheer. We made new friends, had good food and drink while wisked away to a foreign country listening to the music of the omppa pa band :thumbsup2

Anyone up for a little game to help pass the time??? :cool1:

Each day someone will ask the "Question of the Day" -- which is of course a Disney related question (favorite character, favorite restaurant, favorite ride, etc). Then we can each chime in with our answer! I've done this before on other countdown threads and it is a lot of fun!

I will go ahead and start. I will start with an easy Question of the Day --

What is your favorite WDW park (only pick one!)?

Mine is -- DHS!! :woohoo:

Magic Kingdom!!

Ok, time for some opinions... ;)

This trip is going to be so different from what we are used to. We usually go in Sept for free dining and stay at Riverside. We have done this for the last 5 years and enjoyed it. We buy base tickets for the entire length of stay and are in the parks all the time.

This year we will be doing 3 nights and Riverside and then switch to Boardwalk Villa's for 4 nights. During this trip we will have only 3 day park hopper passes. These can not be added to so we are only doing the 3 days in the parks. We are also not going to be on the dining plan. So, we will have a total of 8 days with only 3 for parks and no ddp which we are used to.

I am kind of looking forward to it being a relaxing trip with no rushing around the parks the whole time then again I am wondering if we will find enough to do to fill up that many extra days when we are so used to being in the parks.

With the dining I think we will do T-Rex at least twice. I bought gift cards for there already. They are also good for RFC so we may do that one night as well. That will cover 3 meals. I know one night we will just get a pizza out at the pizza window and hang on the boardwalk. I think we will do a character b-fast at 1900 PF as we really enjoy that one. I also want to try the new Pizzeria opening up at Epcot as well as a lunch one day over at Beaches and Cream. We really like Wolfgang Puck Express so we may eat there once or twice as well.

Other than that I would love some thoughts on some fun things to do, ways to spend the days, different places to eat, etc. :) I am really looking forward to experiencing such a different trip this year. A cooler time of year is top of my list. Sept is just TOO hot...lol The decorations will be different as well which will be cool to see so that is exciting. I usually have a whole itinerary put together by now but I am just not sure what to do with everything being so different. :rotfl:

Will you have a car?? How about a day or two at Universal and/or Sea World?

Well....hmmm...let's see....:rolleyes1 REST!!!! Ha!!! I think you have a good plan as far as down time...I agree with all of Shelly's opinions...DTD has a movie theatre also, so you could catch a movie..then the BC/YC and maybe CR do a movie night on the beach....pool time for sure..massage/spa time at a resort.....Hoop Dee Doo Review at Fort Wilderness or the luau thing at the Poly.....

We don't do deluxe just because it is so much more $$$ and food!! We can't eat that much..especially my younger 2....also, that's a lot of park time spent waiting for a meal...For breakfast I just do granola bars in the room and we do an early lunch...like 11 or so.....but, if you feel you need to have 2 times with your baby to sit down then go for it!!!! And the GF is sooo pretty!!! Biergarten is pretty good...we've been 3 or 4 times....buffet style and you are seated with another family (or 2)...it's very fun!

Thanks so much for all of the opinions guys. :)

Lots of great ideas to think about!

Here is a basic simple plan of things I had in mind...

3 days at Riverside- One of these days will be set aside for the MK. We will pick the day with the EMH (night) and spend an entire day there just enjoying the MK. We will just do a counter service lunch this day and more than likely a cs dinner as well to not waste time sitting for a long meal then.

The other 2 days/nights at Riverside we will spend a lot of time in DTD. We will do at least one or 2 of the dinners down there as well during this time frame. We will also spend some time during this time just enjoying the resort more. We never seem to have time to do that when we are so busy in the parks so I am looking forward to that.

When we stay over at BWV for the next 4 nights we will use the other 2 days of the Hoppers to hop between Epcot and HS. I am excited about being able to do this. We love spending time in World Showcase so I think we will do that quite a bit over the 2 days. I am planning to do the Pick a Pearl too so I am really excited about that. :)

We will also spend one full night just enjoying the boardwalk performers and enjoying a pizza from the pizza window for dinner.

I defintely plan to take the kids over to the movie on the beach one night as well. I think that will be a lot of fun.

We may save the 1900 PF b-fast for the last morning we are there as the kids really look forward to that.

We were planning to add a MVMCP but I am so undecided on that. It would be well over $200 for that and the reviews are not always good on it. We have done the MNSSHP each year we have gone and loved it but dh is not so sure the Christmas party will be as nice so we are up in the air on that now. :confused3 Thoughts? Is it worth it? It would give us another day (pretty much) for MK which would be nice but I can't decide.

We will definitely spend one day just resort hopping as there are many we have not checked out before. I think that will be a lot of fun. We will ride around the monorail resorts as well since we really enjoy that. I am sure we will stop and watch Wishes from the Poly Beach one night as well.

So, other options to look at now will be... a movie at dtd, mini golf, a dinner show, etc... :)

I am really liking the idea that after 5 years we will finally slow it down and really SEE everything we have not taken the time to see before. I love just sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere sometimes. :thumbsup2

We have had Thanksgiving dinner twice at Yacht Club and plan to do so this year as well. It was buffet and everyone enjoyed the variety as well as the traditional food. Enjoy!

I posted our dates on page 18, but you must have missed it. We are going to SSR Nov 19-28. I haven't been online in a while. I just read about 13 pages and am excited about the MVMCP tickets being available and we're close to ADR's, all very exciting!!

Magic Kingdom!!

Yes, we sure will have a car. We have talked some about maybe a day for universal so that may certainly still be a possibility. I know my boys would really enjoy that! :goodvibes

Where is everyone today ? :confused3

One week from today is my ADR day ......whoooooo hoooooooooo

Hey! I am here! I was roaming around the boards...I usually stay close to one or two other threads only.....bout to run errands....next week I will be under 6 months and the next Mon is my ADR day!!

My kids love-love-love the Boardwalk performers! They are so much fun!
I am also undecided about MVMCP it will be over $250 for us. I just wish I was for sure if it is worth it. We also get up very early, that seems like a very late night. Do people really stay for the whole time? Are there lots of chances to get autograghs? My kids are really into meeting everyone.

Ahhhhh..... 199 days as of today! Looks much better without that 2 in front!

Going from Nov.6-22. Getting married at the Wedding Pavilion on Nov.10th 10am (for all you wedding stalkers, look for me from the monorail:thumbsup2) And I cant wait!!! Doing the Deluxe Dining plan, which I know is a lot of food but its our honeymoon!! Have the ADRs all picked out. Any other Nov. Wedding couples or disneymooners out there?

Can you tell me if it is specific nights of the week that the Boardwalk performers are out? Also are any fun for adults? Lastly, about what time are they there. As you can tell we have never seen them before as we always stay at the Magic Kingdon resorts. Any info is appreciated.
