Oh this conversation just sparked a QOTD
:
What months have you visited WDW and what is your favorite so far?
I couldn't tell you how many times I have been in each month but here is when I have been.
Jan - only till the 2nd tho
Feb - Several Valentines Day trips for my mom from my dad
March - Only if Easter fell in March
April - Every Spring Break until 94
May - A couple times for my moms bday
June - Never as a kid, almost annually since 97
July - Every Year up till 97
Aug - First time ever last year, have no intentions of every doing it again!
Sept - Couple times around Labor Day
Oct - Never
Nov - First time ever this year
Dec - ALOT! But not since 2004/05 Christmas/New Years. DH has PTSD and can't handle being packed in like sardines.
Christmas is my favorite time to go, but like I said, DH can't handle it. The last time we went he was actually home on RnR from Iraq. So, he gets out of Iraq and 3 days later he is on Main Street. Then 6 days after our trip, he is back in Iraq. I would love to go again at that time, but its not in the cards regardless. DH civilian job has set vacations. July 4th week and Thanksgiving. I have no intentions of ever going back in July. So, I am hoping in Nov, we can avoid some of the major crowds and still get some of the Christmas magic. Even if it doesn't snow on Main Street that week.
Your post just made me smile remembering when we use to drive to WDW, and there is just something fantastic about seeing the first palm tree, the Florida sign and then all the signs leading up to WDW then finally seeing the Last one and you know you have arrived!!!
Flying just is not the same
We still stop at the FL Welcome Center and get a OJ. It is one of the highlights of our drive!
Okay ladies, I am off to Field Day at the school. Yes, I actually got a day off from subbing at the school and I am going in anyway.
Have a great afternoon!
I did Field Day last week with the kids. It was in the 90s and high humidity, I thought I was going to melt. I started throwing cups of water on the kids. They were melting from all the activities they were doing.
