Ok this post will truly show I am a child of the 80's but I just discovered the other day that

Rick Springfield will be doing 30 minute concerts at Epcot while we are there. Rick Springfield was one of my big crushes as a young teenager and his concert in my home town was one of the first I ever saw, (and I am not allowed to ever forget the date of the concert because my nephew was born that night :lmao:) we will definitely being taking the time to stop and have a listen!! ;) (Thank you Lord for a hubby that tolerates lil things like this without so much as a grunt!! :lovestruc)

So for those who are going while the concerts are going, is there anyone you will take the time to slow down and see?

I planned our ADR's around the times for the shows, we will be going when Hanson and Rick Springfield are there(Tues and Wed),I had to laugh when you said about the concert, we are traveling with DS and Ddil who told me her first concert ever she went to see Rick Springfield. I remember him from General Hospital and who can forget Jessies Girl.

Last year at the Flower and Garden at Epcot, I got to see Paul Revere and the Raiders  now who is telling her age ?:lmao:

So cool about Rick Springfield! I would def do that if he was there during our trip. Love the song, "I've done everything for you...you've done nothing for me!!!" :lmao:

Woohoo.. :woohoo: I am at 180 days and finished up our ressies! Even booked the kids to the Pirate League for their make-overs..They did the BBB last time (DS got the "cool dude" package). I asked DD if she wanted to do the pirate one and she did and I know DS wanted to.

this time we are trying:
Tusker house (with the Nemo show seating)
Akershus
Tony's Town square
T-Rex
Liberty Tree Tavern(for Thanksgiving dinner)
Shutters and
Sci-fi dine in theater

and going back to
Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's :cool1:

I still have to call for the tickets for MVMCP

Joining the group-

We are going November 16-November 24/25 (waiting on Southwest to make final decision) at Port Orleans-Riverside. We are doing the Deluxe Dining and I have made a ton of reservations. Two of our kids have food allergies and I trust the TS much more than the CS, just hope it isn't going to take too much out of our park time. DH and I went with our oldest dd when she was 4 and we are now going with our DD-7, DD-4, and DS will be 11 months- heaven help me now. My sister and her two children are going with us also. I am the family planner so it's all on me. I am so thankful for threads like this to help.

Im joining the group too!

We are going November 14-21 POR and then heading over to AKLV 21st-25th!
Super excited!
We are doing the Quick service plan at POR for the first time (usually do the regular one)
I have made some dining reservation mostly for the 21-25 when we probably wont be on a dining plan.
Are the resturants crazy busy that week due to thanksgiving?
(Ours is in October and I didnt realize till after we booked we are leaving US thanksgiving day)

That's one of my favs also! :cheer2: Of course I was such a nut for him, I think I know every song he did back in the 80's and early 90's. I had posters of him everywhere in my room from 13-15!

Ugh! I would have loved to see Sugar Ray or Sister Hazel! As it is, we'll be at Epxot for Jon Secada on the 7th and Rick Springfield on the 10th. Would also love to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and we'll still be there on the 12th, but I don't want to give up my evening EMH at DHS, and we're not park hopping. :(

You could do dinner and do the late parade @ MVMCP, but if you can you should do an early dinner. We always do the late parade, and while people are at the early parade you can walk on to many rides. You are paying a lot of money for those tickets, so I wouldn't use any of the party time to sit and eat.
Andrea- My husband so badly wants to go to Alaska. I think we might do a cruise next summer. Very jealous- have fun!!
Is anyone else a DVC member?

I have an ADR for an early dinner at 4:30 p.m. at LTT which will work as long as we can get into the MK at 4:00 p.m. as we are not using a regular Park Ticket that day. I sure hope we can get in at 4:00 p.m.!! I want to be able to be done with dinner in time to see the Castle Lighting Ceremony. This is our first MVMCP and the first time going during the holidays.

We are scheduled to go on a Disney Cruise to Alaska on June 7, 2011. Can't wait!! We are going for our 30th Anniversary which will be on June 6th. It will be our second Disney Cruise and I am really looking forward to it.

We are DVC members, our home resort is SSR. I was able to change resorts at the seven month mark and we are staying in a 1 bedroom, standard view at BLT this trip. It will be really nice being so close to the MK and at a Monorail Resort.

We will be going on the 10th also. I switched my dinners both days to lunches, since there should be plenty of foods to try out at the F&W all evening, that leaves all the show times open so we can figure that out once we get there, I don't care about trying to get a seat, last year the lines were long for the concerts so instead of waiting in them we just stood outside the bandstand and listen and watched once it started which was fine, we watched the 6:30 and then picked a spot for Illuminations not far from the bandstand and were able to see and hear the concert a second time before Illuminations.

Have a good weekend everyone!! We are headed to the Poconos to go camping...not exactly thrilled about this..but I am sure we will have fun;)

Good to know thanks. I had made the dinner reservation before I knew about the concert. My son Justin picked the Garden Grill (I let everyone pick at least one restaurant this time) and I am trying to keep it to one TS per day, plus not have days where we have two breakfasts days right in a row, for now at least, I think I will keep it as is.

You know it is pretty neat thinking we will have chatted all this time by the time we all go to Disney and could literally be right next to each other in line or something and not even realize it. I have never talked to everyone on the boards before going and it is neat to think we can cross paths at some point. (Of course that is as long as none of you are crazy lunatic killers! :scared1: None of you are right? You would tell us right? :rotfl2:)

We are DVC members and this our first trip "home" to BLT!!:goodvibes
We were given as a gift a stay at BWV for just DH and I in Feb 2009 in a 1 bedroom BW view on DSisIL's points(she:lovestruc is so nice) and we became members that trip, we were hooked. We took the kids and stayed on points our last trip in Jan 2010, but that was at BWV for a Grand Gathering of 17 people:grouphug:. There were 6 groups all staying on points from 3 DVC members. I was not the planner but it was great to get all 6 rooms (from studios to 1 and 2 bedrooms) all on points! We can't wait to do it again with more family! Love getting the kitchen and washer & dryer with the 1 and 2 bedrooms.
This Nov we are taking the cruise on the Wonder that we got for joining, then heading to WDW and BLT. We can't wait!!!!:yay:
