Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Easter celebrated, Hallelujah!
Easter Lilies. I always try to have at least one, and plant in my garden. June 2024

Hyacinths, DMom’s favorite spring bulb. I remember her whenever I see or smell one!
From the barrenness of the California desert 🏜️ 🏜️ to Oregon... first flower bulb we planted... but we called them after our baby sister..Hi Cynthia

Happy Saturday! (I’m waving, just can’t use an emoji to show it)

I love corn dogs!

#1 - DILLY BARS - I eat ones coated in chocolate. I’ll be having one tonight.

#2 - PEANUT BUTTER BALLS - They are coated in chocolate

#3 - OREO BALLS - They are coated in white chocolate

Does batter count as coating? If it does, the list is long! I'll start with fried clams, but, as I said, I could go on!

My new, non-stick cookware. We got a glass-topped range a few years ago and I was shocked to discover how warped/not flat my frying pans really were! I love my new cookware. It's a Ninja line, solidly heavy, great non-stick cookware that shouldn't warp!

Petit fours. We order every Christmas from Swiss Colony. They used to be better- EVERYTHING used to taste better before the USA got into using so many additives all the time- but we still order them as they say "Christmas" to DD32... and now to her LittleGuy, too!

Another vote for Mickey bars and non-stick cookware!

Also, those "snowball" cupcakes coated in pink coconut.
Snowballs were a secret passion of mine for a long time, especially the pink ones! And YES Mickey Bars. NOTHING tastes like a Mickey Bar in the middle of Magic Kingdom on a hot day, trying to eat it (without getting a headache) before it melts down your arm! :rotfl:

Afternoon all,

I've only ever tried a corn dog once and I wasn't a fan. Admittedly my food tastes have changed since but I'm not keen on hot dog frankfurters in general - is it worth trying again?

1. Anything breaded, battered & fried - I can't really narrow this down, as I love any food that is breaded or battered and then fried afterwards: mozzarella sticks, calamari, fried chicken, halloumi fries, croquettes, arancini, deep fried oreos, funnel cake... 😋

2. Anything coated in chocolate - bit of a chocoholic so another thing I'm struggling to narrow, but there are so many amazing things covered in chocolate: skinny bars, Ferrero Rocher, Maltesers, Crunchies, Guylian seashells, biacuits of any kind.

3. Waterproof clothing - having outerwear with a waterproof coating, especially coats and shoes, is a must over here with the often dire weather.

Like @flyingdumbo127 I am a big fan of Magic Shell. It was like having Dairy Queen or Carvel dipped cones at home. I think I’m even more grateful that I’ve learned how to make my own at home. I just keep a jar of coconut oil handy and pretty much every kind of chip or melting candy can become homemade Magic Shell.

Candy coatings- There’s something about the crisp crunchy texture of Reese’s Pieces and Cadbury Mini Eggs that makes them more satisfying than your average chocolate. I guess that’s why I can also consume them in excess like potato chips.

Nail polish- I’m not one for manicures but I do enjoy doing my own nails and having fun or pretty colors coating my nails.

Ceramic cookware -- I donated all of my other non-stick cookware. Ceramic is far superior.
Chicken nuggets, especially those from Chick-Fil-A
Vanilla ice cream coated in hot fudge sauce

Coated handles at Yuma retail that doesn't have automatic Opening doors

Coated oil roads to protect our neighborhood streets from the summer 🌞 🌞 🌞 ☀️ ☀️ 🌞 🌞
